Haha, I appreciate it :giggle:

This made my day, thank you!

God bless you as well ❤
Hey, in my haste, I made a couple of erroneous statements in my initial response to you in your Bible and Science thread. I did correct them in my next post. Anyhow, I just want to make sure that you see my corrections. Sorry.

Oh, okay! I actually haven't looked at it yet, so I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for letting me know!

thanks! i will keep all that in mind. I didn't use to struggle with this as much but stress has caused me to rely on poor methods of coping. its pretty disappointing, actually.
Try not to be too hard on yourself. Your willingness to acknowledge your struggle says a lot for your character.

Your courage can be encouragement to others. Bringing about an atmosphere of honesty and commitment, among friends, and solidarity with God.

The ball's in your court.

It's not easy, but keep up hope. sometimes that little thing is all we need. one of my friends, about 2 months ago, shared that she has been a month without porn, and it is possible, it is hard, it feels impossible, but it is possible.

I am doing a month, and have allowed myself to do this,(christianchat, because often I would get on for this, and get distracted.) because God is helping me to be stronger. it is a thing of momentum, after a week, its a desire, after a month, now, it is a faint pull, and it takes concious desire for the dopamine to fall.
and it might even be better if you did not get as deep as I did. I was in it every night for about 3 years. I hear that sometimes I wake in the night saying, no,no,no. it is so ingrained, that I need the porn. the longer I spent away the better it got. and now....
I feel so much better. I am still careful, because, to quote @Subhumanoidal, porn addicts can fall back to porn even years after breaking free. it will always be an issue, I think, but If I start now, I believe I can break the habit.

DON'T toy with it.

By that I mean most guys wanting to stop don't wake up and reach for porn.

They see something provocative, on tv or their phone, and then make deals with themselves like, "well I'll just look at those girls in their bikinis, that's not porn right? After all, I didn't go looking for it" Then, "Hey I didn't know she was going to take her top off". Then you dwell on that, and before you know it, you're in full porn mode.

Your flesh is sneaky. You CAN'T bargain with it, toy with it, play around. You also have evil spiritual entities that are only too happy to help you watch more and bargain with your flesh, because they know the end result.

You're going to live in your fallen, dead flesh the rest of your natural life. So it's NEVER a one and done. You can't say, "Ah, I've defeated it". Your new born again self, for now, lives in that dead flesh, with it's evil desires. But your flesh, the Devil, and the world will not stop assailing you.

So you need to submit yourself to God DAILY, and the Devil will flee from you. You need to put on the FULL Armor of God DAILY to block his fiery darts. If you take off that Armor and hang it up in your closet what good is it for you. You need to WEAR it.

You need to take every thought captive AT THE START of the temptation. You wait, and it'll be too late.

Praying the Lord's Presence in your life.
