Did eve add the words ? Or r they the words that Adam said to eve ? Maybe , Adam loved Eve so much that he added those words to dissuade her from even touching the tree . The way we might say to a child about not touching the stove , u know what ? Don't even go anywhere near it just in case . We shall never know for sure , not in this life anyway but I personally think that Adam added the words about not touching the tree because he was scared on Eve's behalf and just wanted to keep her away from it . Sadly , it made no difference who said what to whom . The corruption of God's Word by man ( or woman ) provided a foothold for the serpent . This has been repeated add nausium throughout history , which is why it's so important for all of us who profess Christianity to read God's Word for ourselves . I think that it illustrates that God cannot trust man to pass down His Word by mouth and why God has been so gracious in preserving and providing His Word for all to access by reading it .
and yet it is by word of mouth that so many of those words in the bible were written'
HOpefully the mouth was Gods is what we hope for.
OTherwise we would never know what Adam did or didnt do.
But again, i know i in the minority. but i think our reliance on the bible and not on the spirit is what causes so much division amongst followers.
WE are not meant to be known by the Words we memorise.
I asked a colleague once why he doesnt believe in God at all. His response was the people who say they believe are not a good sign there is a God.
And then followers would respond with Follow God not Man.
But how does one know God exists if we dont see Him or hear Him.
Oh look around followers say. this cant all be random
I firmly believe that until the world sees the Fruit of the Spirit we have a long way to go.
