Pope Francis is dead. Now they will have to elect a new Pope.

The new Pope, whomever he may be, will be automatically heralded by some as the Antichrist. It is inevitable.

So who do you think it will be? Any bets to place?

How about bets on how long it will take between the announcement of who they picked and someone finding reasons why he is the Antichrist? My money is on 27 seconds.

of God remains forever. Children, it is the last hour; and just as you have heard that the antichrist
is coming, so now many antichrists have appeared. This is how we know it is the last hour.

Shhh... The people who like to claim that the new president, Pope, prime minister, etc. is the Antichrist don't like to think about that.

Yes the Bible talks about the SPIRIT of the Antichrist, which is already running amok in the world. But a lot of people like to talk about the Antichrist as one guy who will stand up at the end of time and do some big evil things.

And I have no doubt people will dredge up some obscure quote or prediction or coincidence that they can use to claim this new Pope will be the Antichrist, just as soon as we find out who the new Pope is.

I remember some saying he would be the last pope. I guess he was supposed to usher in the end. I dont pay much attention to such things. Obama and Francis were both said to be the antichrist. I dont/ didnt like either of them and both may have been working toward the end in their own way. One world government and one world religion.

One of the titles of the pope is 'Vicar of Christ.' "Vicar" is from the word vicarious, which means substitute. "Anti" can mean in place of as well as against. So the title the pope accepts says that he is antichrist. See, I can beat everyone to the announcement.

That pertains to every Pope though. The challenge is to find something pertaining specifically to the pope they are going to elect, ideally before anybody else does.

That was a good shot though, and an a- for effort. Not a full a, because you provided something that could be applied to all the popes, not just the one they are about to elect.

Maybe I quoted the wrong part of your comment, kind of like how folks tell you that you named and claimed the wrong verse or something.

1 John 2 verses 17-18, 1 John 3 verse 23a, and Jesus' words in/from John 6 verse 29 ~ The world is passing away, along with its desires; but whoever does the will of God remains forever. Children, it is the last hour; and just as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have appeared. This is how we know it is the last hour. And this is His commandment: that we should believe in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ. The work of God is to believe in the one he has sent.
