Matthew 15:10-12
New King James Version (NKJV)
10 When He had called the multitude to Himself, He said to them, “Hear and understand: 11 Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.”
12 Then His disciples came and said to Him, “Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?”
the Pharisees still get offended by the saying...it is not flesh or what we eat, or do, or read, or see that saves but the Spirit and if we follow God. God does NOT lead us into sin so that saying is not an excuse to sin either but a call to look at the world with spiritual eyes and not as the fleshly world sees it.
