Heaven? Not interested. The kingdom of God? Yes!

To the best of my knowledge thus far; Jesus is on track to return to
Jerusalem seven years after the rapture to set up the theocratic kingdom
predicted in the old testament, and of course everyone unified with him will
return too. Well; I for one plan on taking some time off to visit all the sights
I missed this time around.

For example, the only foreign country I've ever been to is Mexico and even
then just the border towns of Tijuana and Tecate so I have a lot to catch up
on; that's if anything is left. It appears to me from accounts in the book of
Revelation that the world will undergo catastrophic damage during the
interim between the rapture and when the Lord gets back so I may be in for
some disappointment on a few fronts.

But what the hay; at least I won't be on the wrong side of things with that
myriad of lost souls down below who have nothing to look forward to except
the great white throne event depicted by Rev 20:11-15.

Oh! and another thing; according to Matt 26:29, Luke 22:15-16, and Luke
22:28 30, folks who make the cut for the kingdom will be able to dine upon
ordinary foods and beverages. Just imagine the pleasure of touring the world
and tasting samples of cuisine in every culture on earth; and in perfect
safety too because according to Isa 2:4 there won't be any war zones to
worry about; and Isa 11:6-9 suggests that danger from the animal kingdom
will no longer be a concern.

i also loved working in a factory while playing in a band & landscaping. throw me a bomb pass & i'll catch it! my dad talked about jai alai, i think he played the game. i had it made at the factory. another guy & myself were the only 2 in a particular department. half the time, we did what we wanted to. he & i & another 3 guys in various departments unloaded the trucks. all the bosses saw that we were very fast workers so they were very lenient with us. even more than that, i worked the landscaping at the v.p.'s house. a story i'll never forget at the factory: a floor lady boss, who no one liked, complained that i was wasting time in the box room. she didn't like me at all. so she tells the v.p. he comes to the box room & sees that i was rearranging the room because the line ladies were complaining it was a mess, you couldn't walk around comfortably & it was in disarray. so i took it upon myself to rearrange the whole room. he didn't say a word to me. he watched me for 5 minutes. he went out to the lady that called on me & told her: "don't ever bother me with that man again, do you hear me"? i fixed the mess & actually made more room than the 1st design.
I enjoyed your post very much and found myself relating to it.

I will be like Tarzan, king of the jungle, except I'm Tarzanna, not so much Jane (she was always screaming for help).

I had my grandgirl with me the other day and had the back door open so the sun could shine through and the breeze could have free run in the house. Running to the door with her great idea to go outside in mind, Lettie abruptly stopped short of the screen door and gasped, "a spider!" seeing a big wood spider sitting square center in the middle of the glass. I told her, "Oh, that's Sally, my pet spider. She eats bugs." And Lettie, pointing to the can light on the ceiling, noticed, "There's a bug." So, I told Sally, "Hey, Sally! There's a bug," to which Lettie observed, "she's not getting it..." I reasoned, "Well, maybe she doesn't want to scare us too much. Let's go in here for a little while so she can jump if she wants to..."
And, when we returned to the kitchen, the first thing Lettie commented on was, "Sally's gone." And I gasped, "And the bug is gone too!"

Also, doesn't the Book of Revelations say that all the "old things will be no more" and
all the tears and suffering and the old things will be a memory long forgotten?

Psalm 102 verses 25-26, Isaiah 65 verse 17, Revelation 21 verse 5a, Isaiah 43 verse 18 ~ In the beginning You laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands. They will perish, but You remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing You will change them, and they will be passed on. For I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind. And the One seated on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” Do not call to mind the former things; pay no attention to the things of old.

in my experience, animals of the present earth are the most talked about subject of what is going to be in heaven from the former things. but the above clearly states animals will not be in heaven. "the former things not remembered........nor will they come to mind.......all things new........do not call to mind the former things.....pay no attention to the things of old". so i'm guessing now, no animals in heaven.
