Impossible to say. Temptation to sin comes from the devil. Jesus said to some of His hearers:
““You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.” (Joh 8:44 NKJV)
Paul wrote:
“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” (Eph 6:11 NKJV)
I assure you that I am not leaning on my own understanding, but on what I read in God's word. What in particular did I write in Post 31, to which you were replying, that you felt was me leaning on my own understanding?

We each win when GW is correctly understood by both,
(such as what I cited and hope you read: Rom. 12:2, 1Cor. 2:16, Eph. 4:11-15).
For example, Eph. 2:8 is good, but it really needs to be cited along with Eph. 2:9-10.
But it is not possible to give an answer of which is the greater adversary, my sin or the devil. The devil is the one who tempts to sin. If the devil did not exist, there would be no sin. In the Garden of Eden, the serpent, who as Revelation informs us is the devil, tempted Eve to take and eat the forbidden fruit.

You seem to be claiming to know what I am thinking. There was nothing stubborn in my post. I don't say I am never guilty of being stubborn, but not when it comes to what God says in His word.
In what way does this scripture rejrct my answer? pulling verses out of context does not equate a proper answer this verse has nothing to do with my answer

I think it's when we're at our lowest. Kick us when we're down type of situation. That's how it always was for me.
Also Jesus went 40 days and night without food and that's when the devil showed. Not when he was just baptized.
