What makes you think that those that God has called and qualified by grace and given to the church will not learn to lay their life down for the brethren and to serve them through the love of God? But, as they serve and love the brethren, it is also their calling to feed the flock with the word and doctrine that God has given them the oversight. They are called to teach the word in season and out of season and to minister continually, morning, noon and night. Their life is not their own and they have been called to lay it down. They are also called to train up disciples unto the Lord and to equip them and thorough furnish them with the word and doctrine unto all good works as they prepare for what God calls them to do in the plan and will of God. There is a promotion process and even the disciples were schooled three years under the Lord before they were used to build churches (NOT SOME CELL GROUP).
would you mind listing some safe sound preachers please.
there are so many bad ones, we need to navigate carefully.
you're not suggestiing sheep just go into the first building they find are you?

so who are pastor-teachers raised up of God we should submit to?

name some.

LOLZ! 'Promotion process'??!!

Where are you in the process Red?

Cell change agent leadership training level 1?

Why cant you address the scripture?

(Matthew 20:25) But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

(Matthew 20:26) But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

(Matthew 20:27) And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

(Matthew 20:28) Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

There is NO human authority in the Church that any believer needs to subject themselves to.

EVEN JESUS MINISTERED!

SIMPLEZ!

Perhaps when you have some free time you can look up these passages and study them and instead of fitting them into your understanding, let them give you understanding through the humility of faith. These are only a few so that you don't overload your circuits.

Prov 1:8,9
Prov 4:7-9
Mt 23:12
1Pt 5:6

Anyone whose heart is not after those that God has raised up for the church will never find them, even if they were preaching in their own back yard. 'If you seek me with all your heart you will find me' (Jer 29:13, Jer 3:15, 2Tim 3:16). To find the right pastor-teacher that will edify through grace, the word and through doctrine in the body of Christ is a privilege, a promotion and wisdom in the grace of God.

Those verses don't nullify Jesus command for Pastors to be servants without authority over the flock. Why are you being disobediant to the Lord? It is obviously the spirit of independance. The Body of Christ is a unit Red, with Jesus at the head, He is the King and His commands are ours to live by. Why do you rebel against the only authority in Christianity? You cannot be a lone wolf friend....you need to come under the rulership of our teacher the Lord Jesus with humility and faith.

What position do you hold in the church hierarchy Red?

Where are you in the process?

Are you 'leading' your own cell group yet?

well
you didn't answer a straight forward question that almost every christian asks at some point (or should).
who today is teaching sound doctrine.

that's okay.

i have found MANY.

and several i can see face-to-face.

if i have taken the time to be certain i am settled in my theological position before walking into a building with a steeple on it, are you calling that ungodly or disobedient?

do you know who the Bereans were?

i have settled on Lutheranism.

it was 3 years of trial and error through denominations i want not much to do with today....and more years of personal study and listening to sermons and studying apologetics until i feel confirmation from The Spirit that i am in the right place.

is that okay with you?

This sounds good, and I would totally agree, but how can the Spirit confirm anything to you, if God no longer speaks?

You will find mr 4runner here does not sit long enough to figure out what people believe. He thinks he already knows. Probably because he is churched.

It is a term myself and many others use of a person who is taught what others believe. so they get key words or key phrases and say they know what someone believes. Of course when they are told someone does not believe what they think they believe, they do not believe it themselves. 4runner is a good example of this.

Yet they say they learned from the word, and not a man. Yet i find everything they say right out of the latest paperback hero they read it from.

Good post Ramon. It is not simply a regeneration of the old clothing. It is a type of death spoken of in the last verses of the Book of John. Even those who follow in the path of teaching which Jesus set for all of us as a witness of His work in the fulfillment of both law and the words of the prophets; it becomes evident in the first disciple that up to that point in our walk with Jesus, we continue to do the things which seem right to us. The lives of the first disciples demonstrated this for us.

Before, we clothed ourselves in the security of things which seemed right to us (not sure why anyone would want to regenerate that); and went where ever we wished. But as we become older in God's wisdom, we will raise our hands and another will cloth us in the security of the things from above, and take us where we do not wish to go.

Jesus said these things, signifying by what death we would glorify God. And when Jesus had spoken this, He says to each of us from within, “Follow Me.”

Ramon, it is evident that some will attempt to undo Christ's work in you. Speaking these things that are in your heart mind and soul to do, will be met with indifference. I'm glad to see that you are willing to suffer these things and remain faithful to the indwelling Spirit in you.

It seems equally evident that Christ's work in others is neither acknowledged nor respected by some of Ramon's rants. This is what is taken issue with ...... not his zest and/or zeal. What do any of us in North America know about "suffering" these days outside of what each may or may not be facing in regards to one of their loved ones or something of this sort ? None here know what others are facing daily. And none here are qualified to make any judgements of the sort in regards to anybody's standing in Christ. Many of Ramon's posts appear to do just that ...... even if it is not his intention. "Willing to suffer these things" ?? ......... give me a break.

You realise you are siding with someone who upholds the heresy of perfectionism....right?
