Similar to what a few others have said, I do not really "go by the numbers" myself - and, from man to man to man to man - I think what each number means can be different for each man. For example, I do not think that all men see a '7' identically the same.
Is the scale linear? The way some people talk, you would think that - to them - it is exponential.
For any random woman - I find her attractive or I do not. I do not think of her in terms of a number.
There have been times when a woman was called a "dog" by other men - who I thought was rather nice...
Attraction is largely about appeal and preference.
There are many well-known women who other men think are absolutely beautiful - who do not appeal to me nearly so much.
One of those women is Angelina Jolie. Some men think that she is "the hottest thing that there ever was" - well, okay - but, not to me.
I am not saying she is ugly - good heavens no - she simply just does not appeal to me like she does some other men.
Borrowing from post #49 in this thread:
To me - Anna De Armas is
far more attractive than Angelina Jolie.
Men have different preferences. Women have different appeal.
