And yet his bid for re-election to the Senate is endorsed by the President... We have, of course, discussed potential reasons for this; but regardless it has drawn the ire of many.

The administrations "attacks" on the democrats are widely being perceived as a diversion/ media filler; and I think everyone's eyes are still on the ball- watching what the current administration has done/is doing.
