John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. "

I have newly discovered the fascinating story of Naaman in 2 Kings.

Naaman as a wealthy, powerful man in the Syrian Kingdom of Aram. He was the Army Commander and second in power only to the King. But Naaman had a serious problem. He had leprosy.

The OT word leprosy is a translation of the Hebrew word tzara’at. This is a word for any skin disease in the ancient world. More; for an Israelite tzara’at was a visible indication of some unforgiven and hidden inward sin. A person with tzara’at was “unclean” and thus excluded from all social contact until the sin was forgiven. This was a terrible experience.

Now an Israelite servant girl told Naaman that Elisha, the prophet of Israel, could cure his disease. The King of Aram gave Naaman permission to seek the Prophet of even though Aram and Israel were traditional enemies.

When Naaman encountered Elisha he was told to immerse himself seven times in the Jordan River and he would become clean. Naaman scoffed at this idea, but was persuaded by loyal servants. Naaman entered the water and dunked himself under seven times, coming out of the water “clean” with fresh, healthy skin.

Naaman went back to Elisha proclaiming his faith. “There is no God in all the world but the God of Israel.” He then asked for two donkey loads of Israel soil to take back to Damascus so that he could stand on Israel soil and worship the true God. He made one more request, to be forgiven for helping his master when the King bowed down to his god Rimmon and needed help getting up. Elisha’s answer? Shalom…go in peace…don’t worry about that.

So; more than eight hundred years before Christ an uncircumcised gentile man, in faith, dunks himself into Israel’s living water, without saintly help, without prayers, and without proclaiming Yeshua his lord and savior, and yet becomes a child of God.

Clearly no one comes to the Father except through Jesus Christ. No argument. We just cannot become so arrogant to think we know all the ways Our Lord saves.

Oh the mysterious ways of God. To stand in trust to God, even if do not know how, yet do, see through it all. even while in troubles happening to them still. while not seeing it come through
God is good all the time as good is God all the time
Made us each through Son reconciled, to turn to God in thanksgiving and praise, then trust to be led by God, not self or anyone else ever again. What? Did free will get taken away at that tree of Adam and Eve? Or were they given the knowledge of good and evil, to try to do themselves and be as if are God?
Dependency on God alone got taken away at the tree they ate from, being given the knowledge of good and evil, then and there, to be dependent on self and other flesh as well, not God Father anymore. Been going on ever since, that failure to trust God only. Then the day came to reverse that curse, in Son who first took on the sin of the World for us all as reconciled. Then risen were new life is given by Father to each of us personally first. Think on that wise, as Father and we the people, come to know and become dependent on God as was in the beginning, before the fall of Adam and Eve back then, thank you
Today we are aware and know truth, we each know in ourselves truth, and for me I see to depend on Father and Son for me to love all in mercy and truth, the same as Son did first for us all first. Then Risen where new life is a gift from Father, seeing us each as perfect as in Col. 1
Thank you Father and Son as Won, time for me to see and stand in this reconciliation of God for us all (2 Cor 5:16-20) Ask for the new life in Daddy's Spirit and Truth and love all as I see am called,

[Luk 4:27-28 KJV] And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian. And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath,

There is always a great lesson associated with those who follow God by faith. Jesus began his public ministry in Nazareth and immediately offended all the people in the synagogue that Sabbath day.

Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Rom 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Creation testifies of a God and of His attributes which one of them is love for He provided food, and the means to make clothing and shelter.

And testifies of the 2 greatest laws love God, and love people, so the world is without excuse.

Creation alone will judge people.

Rom 2:12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
Rom 2:13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
Rom 2:14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
Rom 2:15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another)
Rom 2:16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

We have a conscious to know right from wrong.

Rom 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Zec 14:9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

Rev 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

The people who have not heard of the word of God and Jesus Christ will be judged by their belief in a God who is love and their conscious.

If they love God, and love people sufficiently and ask God to forgive them if anything is amiss they can be saved.

They cannot go to heaven to be with Jesus in the resurrection and cannot reign with Him in the millennial reign for they did not know Him but after the millennial reign they can be with Him.

Because God is a fair God and will not condemn someone who has not heard.

So; more than eight hundred years before Christ.....

Hello. Yes.

I see a similar thing in the book of Ruth, with the person Boaz..
I see a similar thing in the book of Job, with the person Elihu..
In both instances, the term "Redeemer" is used
I believe something as member HomewardBound said above, these personages are there to facilitate reconciliation

This section here is also interesting, similar patterning going on..
(Ezekiel chapter 4)
…4Then lie down on your left side and place the iniquity of the house of Israel upon yourself. You are to bear their iniquity for the number of days you lie on your side.
5For I have assigned to you 390 days, according to the number of years of their iniquity. So you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
6When you have completed these days, lie down again, but on your right side, and bear the iniquity of the house of Judah. I have assigned to you 40 days, a day for each year.…

The Law is for the peoples protection Psalm 1, yet people want to be God, ever since the fall, want to be independent of God, not dependent on God, is what I see. I choose, chose dependency on God alone thank you
