In a court of law she is not required to respond, but in the court of public opinion she is.

Also, if she wished she could sue, but if she did that they would then have the right to demand the DNA evidence. Perhaps the reason she doesn't sue is because she is afraid of a court order for her DNA.

Also she's an attorney so she knows she wouldn't win a defamation lawsuit because it hasn't actually caused her any damage

Yeah I've been here for some years and the two main sources of conflict here are

1. I don't hate gay and transgender people and

2.. I don't believe Christianity should be enforced by law.
 
I don't know if anyone is following this case, but I noticed Tucker Carlson just interviewed Candace Owens about it and other things. So, the first 55 minutes or so is about the Macron matter. I've not watched the entire interview but some of the things discussed after 55min is interesting in regard to her character and thinking and the bigger picture she's involved in, such as thinking we should not be subject to perverse world leaders who think they can do with impunity whatever they want to do, including with children, and seek to destroy others who speak out.

As I think I alluded to before and after actually watching some of Owen's reporting on this matter, I don't think this is a minor issue in play here. This is well beyond what sex someone is. It gets into the matter of who are "they" who are driving the world in the direction it's been going. Her comparison between Macron, Zelensky, Biden with Biden clearly showing us the "they" are there behind the curtain was interesting.

I support Candace on just about everything, but not this.

Macrons is a lot of things. Pedophile definitely. But she's not a man...literally just look at her hips in a swim suit! The pelvic bone is completely different for men and women. She is dominant and a Pedophile. She ruined her kids lives. She's abusive. But she's a woman. Smh

This is going to break Candace like Alex Jones with sandy hook. You can't just keep saying lies and never letting it go no matter how much evidence.

It's not just the transgender allegations, Owens is alleging that the first lady of france has stolen someone else's identity and is running a global pedo ring and even killing people

Yeah, it bothers me that Owens has latched on to this and I don't understand why she has.

I don't really watch her, to begin with, but I no longer count her as someone I can watch for accurate news or well-thought commentary.

The only thing relevant, in my opinion, concerning this story is the investigation and prosecution of those involved in child trafficking. That could explain the comments made by Candace, she might want to be sued so that they can subpoena her records.

I don't hate gay/trans people either, but I hate what they are doing. They need to know the truth of God's Word. What do you mean by Christianity enforced by law? Most of our laws come from Christianity.

Well I can't predict 100% that she's going to lose this lawsuit but the president of a country is going to have an army of attorneys.
All is going to take is for the macarons to produce DNA evidence in court and she's probably cooked

Yes, there is no need for an army of attorneys, simply the DNA evidence and Candace becomes a footnote while the Macron's walk out of court victorious and vindicated. Why have they allowed this to become such a circus?

Now she is a public figure so simply proving she is a woman will not "cook" Candace. You have to have proof that Candace knew that what she was saying was false. For example, if Candace asked for a comment and they sent her DNA evidence, and yet Candace went ahead with her story despite knowing that it was false, then they can sue for defamation.

To win a defamation case, the public figure must prove you made the false statement with "actual malice," meaning you either knew the statement was false or acted with reckless disregard for whether it was true or false.
