People would have a lot less questions if they asked WHY did Paul say this. and for what purpose he wanted to accomplish. And then compare scripture with scripture to get the full meaning.
This to me is obviously talking about a woman being in authority. So Pauls saying stop letting your women be in authority at church, Don't let them speak.
Why would Paul say this? Because he was addressing a problem the church had.
Just like how you notice Jesus never spoke out really against homosexuality, why? Not because it's not a sin but that it wasn't really a huge issue for the jews.
Jesus didn't specifically speak out about this because the jews weren't making mistakes regarding this. Paul is speaking out about this because there seems to be an issue. so first you have to ask whats the issue? And then how is it going to be resolved. Does this m0ean women can never EVER say anything in church or there transgressing? Obviously not, that would not make any sense to me, nor serve any good purpose. But if hes talking about them speaking and being leaders and in authority over men then yes there's a problem.
It's not a sexist claim but God gave men and women different roles to put out. All Paul is addressing here is there role, I don't think hes saying hush be quiet women, I heard you said hello to someone in church and that's wrong! Shut up!.
Hes saying men are the teachers not women, stop stepping out of your place.
make sense lol?
