If you are referring to the household of Cornelius, no.

You are making a rather large assumption if you are comparing what happened in Acts 2:38 to Acts 10:44-46 as the same.

You are simply trying to find a loophole in order to negate the clear prescriptive command of Peter to the descriptive recording of the event in the home of Cornelius.

Acts 10:44-46 does not negate Acts 2:38.

Peter is most certainly not using Noah and his family as descriptive, Peter is using this passage as prescriptive to explain the reality that water baptism is the saving moment of redemption.

He said that baptism now saves you-not the removal of dirt from the flesh (that is, not as an outward, physical act which washes dirt from the body--that is not what saves you), "but an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ" (that is, as an inward, spiritual transaction between God and the individual, a transaction that is symbolized by the outward ceremony of water baptism).

Just as the eight people in the ark were "saved THROUGH water" as they were IN THE ARK. They were not literally saved "by" the water. Hebrews 11:7 is clear on this point (..built an ARK for the SAVING of his household). *The context reveals that ONLY the righteous (Noah and his family) were DRY and therefore SAFE. In contrast, only the wicked in Noah's day came in contact with the water and they all perished. So, by Peter saying, "not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience - through the resurrection of Jesus Christ," Peter guards against saving power to the physical ceremony in H20.

Water baptism doesn't in and of itself save, but all must be water baptized in the name of Jesus in order to be saved. Scripture further attests that everything we do in word and deed is to be done, NOT in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost BUT, in the name that is above all names; the name of Jesus!

Try having prayers answered by making the petition in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
Try casting out demons saying I do so in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
Try praying for healing saying I do so in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

Consider what the word reveals concerning the power imparted upon evoking the name of Jesus:
Jesus said, "And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it." John 14:13-14
