Okay, let’s see if you get an unction from this: There is one all-loving and just Lord God. Am I right or wrong?
Yes. Right.

Yes. Right.
Just waiting for you to say something new that moves the discussion forward.
If you paid attention, you would know I do not play ping-pong or tar-baby,
and I resist the temptation to respond to inane insults, such as posts #35 & 39.
The last thing you said worthy of a reply was "show me", which was an improvement on "prove", because nothing can be proved; all we can do is show (2Cor. 5:7), but now you have reverted to "prove". When I showed readers of this thread one more time evidence that Spirit-filling is now and eternally manifested by divine love (John 13:35, Romans 5:5, Galatians 5:6, Ephesians 3:16-19, 1 Corinthians 13:8-13, etc.), you said "So your proof is any verse with the word love in it? I sure do agree we are to love one and the other but none of them say when you are filled with the Holy Ghost you are filled with love."
If you are saying that verses commanding WB are still "gospel", then you need to show why such commands ceased after Acts 10:48.
Why is Phillip an apostle preaching the gospel and baptizing in water still of it’s been replaced ?1. Good.
2. No it does not say that.
The question is, Prove water baptism replaced spirit baptism?
4. My view is that WB symbolizing SB superseded circumcision as the NT gospel superseded the OC per Hebrews 7:18-10:1.
With ALL DO RESPECT, what does your view matter?????????????
Hebrews 7:18 For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
Hebrews 10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
OT, if they did NOT obey OT circumcision commandment THEY WERE CUT OFF.
One could say being baptized in JESUS name is similar to OT circumcision.
Looks to me like you're thinking that water baptism was an OT command.
Being baptized in water for remission of sins in JESUS name did not start until after he ascended to Heaven in Acts 1.
John the Baptist introduced water baptism that was later modified to include the name of Jesus in association with Jesus' death, burial and resurrection. Obedience to the command is required of everyone living in the NT. Acts 2:38
Also, Spirit baptism didn't start until JESUS ascended to Heaven in Acts 2.
So tell me HOW does that PROVE water baptism replaced spirit baptism?
Why is Phillip an apostle preaching the gospel and baptizing in water still of it’s been replaced ?
“Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.”
Acts 8:35-39 KJV
wouldn’t an apostle and chosen witness filled with the spirit to preach and baptize be using the right baptism ? ….or Peter wouldnt he have known “water “ baptism was outdated and no longer baptism ?
“For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.”
Acts 10:46-
to remove baptism we would have to come to the conclusion two of Jesus apostles didint understand it as well as we do because they absolutely continued to baptize in water after the cross
I'm sorry if I offended you.
The reason I use the word PROVE is because YOU MADE A STATEMENTS THAT IS NOT IN HIS WORD.
THE WORD "PROVE" IS FOR YOU TO PROVE YOU ARE RIGHT.
PROVE WHAT CAME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH TO BE TRUE.
Prove being filled with the Holy Ghost fills us with love.
Prove water baptism was replaced spirit baptism.
Prove that speaking in tongues was morphed into mear babble.
Prove that spaking in tongues stopped.
Don't talk to me about being WORTHY, ARE YOU WORTHY? PROVE IT.
If you would like for me to answer your questions start a thread for it, THIS ONE, IS FOR YOU TO PROVE WHAT COMES OUT OF YOUR MOUTH.
Joking, I will answers your questions after you answer those 4 questions.
We are one number 3 as you failed to answer the first 2.
Yes I understand I was just presenting the argument and question pertaining to water baptism specifically in that post. Not directed at you or anyoneThank you sir, AMEN.
I am tying to get GWH to back up what comes out of his mouth.
He is the one who says being spirit baptism replaced water baptism.
I doubt you are sorry for being pejorative, but I am certain you cannot PROVE your fallible belief either,
so IMO we are done on this thread unless you participate in the discussion with Edward, assuming he continues.

Well hopefully no believers end up doing that. Often persuasion comes from the scriptures even if we don’t realize it’s happening at first.Sad part is some will NEVER see it and die in their sins.

regarding baptism specifically the holy ghost was added as a benefit to the experience of the same baptism of repentance and remission of sins John began preaching , because of Jesus name later who gave us of his spirit after he rose and ascended . which is all
John meant when he said this
“I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:”
Matthew 3:11 KJV
thats just foretelling this after Jesus rose and then after this ascended
“For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.”
Acts 1:5 KJV
then a few days after he said that what John foretold happened they were baptized with the Holy Ghost and fire
“And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”
Acts 2:2-4
John was just foretelling pentocost not doing away with baptism for repentance and remission of sins . We can be ck go dent because the first thing Peter does after oreschong jesus to the people on pentocost was to offer baptism for repentance and remission of sins in Jesus name …… now receiving the holt ghost isnposesible because Jesus shed it forth
“This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,
and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”
Acts 2:32-33, 36-39 KJV
We also can be confident that the apostles were still using water to baptize people as the examples in chapter 8 with Phillip and chapter ten with Peter shows plainly.
often we interpret away things that aren’t meant to be interpreted away but other times we just haven’t noticed it so we think things we were always taught in church whichever denomination we might attend have variances of doctrine regarding baptism
I have my own belief that baptism never changed but when Jesus was glorified he shed his spirit into the world and that’s johns reference to “he shall baptize you with the spirit “
But it doesn’t mean anyone else has to agree or they’re lost . And really there isn’t a statement in the Bible saying “ if anyone believes and doesn’t get baptized they are lost “ so I find just discussing the proper doctrines that are definately there in scripture is the best way to go in a discussion .
Amen but there are a lot that teach us what the point of getting baptized is"But it doesn’t mean anyone else has to agree or they’re lost . And really there isn’t a statement in the Bible saying “ if anyone believes and doesn’t get baptized they are lost “ so I find just discussing the proper doctrines that are definitely there in scripture is the best way to go in a discussion."
Amen!
Trick question?! You're talking about Jesus.Good! One less thang and already we have progressed further than Ouch! was willing to agree. Next…
Who is both able and willing to provide all morally accountable human beings salvation or heaven.
Over….

FYI, these are in HIS word which prove you can't enter heaven without getting rid of your sins.
Since we are born in sin and sin separates us from GOD then we have to get rid of it if we want to enter.
JESUS said in John 3:5 we need both to enter.
JESUS speaking.
Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Which says, if you believe and get baptized, and those who don't believe for sure will never get baptized therefore they are already damned.
Since we are born in sin and can NOT enter Heaven with sin, these verse also say can't enter heaven without begin baptized.
John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
FY'AI, Acts 22:16 refers to Acts 9:18, so viewing WB to be required faded fairly fast following Acts 10:48 as SB came to be understood as crucial.
Who viewed it as fading fast and why would spirit baptism come to be understood as crucial since both are necessary?
Where do you get that from?
What do you think of it, when they were baptized in the spirit?
JESUS FILLED THEM.
44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
