Is God's Word restricted by only what is originally written down?

Do You Believe God's Word is infallible?

Oh boy, when King James and the Freemasons are both mentioned in the same sentence you know it's time to go.

Of course not. God's WORD is everything that God says. FAITH is the result of HEARING His WORD to us personally (Rom 10:17) (Gal 3:5). God didn't go dumb and mute when the Bible was published, and still speaks to His kids today. God's Word is completely infallible, and is the SUBSTANCE, and the EVIDENCE of FAITH. (Heb 11:1)

Personally, as in hearing the still small voice of God inside of you, the spoken voice of God!

Romans 10:17
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God..../KJV

Now the thread is about the written word of God. That's not what this verse is talking about. The written word is "Logos" and means the written word of God. But when I look up from this verse into a Concordance in the original language of Greek it says "word of God" is:

ῥῆμα rhēma, hray'-mah; from G4483; an utterance (individually, collectively or specially),; by implication, a matter or topic (especially of narration, command or dispute); with a negative naught whatever:—+ evil, + nothing, saying, word.../

Not Logos! So what is a Rhema?

Outline of Biblical Usage:
  1. that which is or has been uttered by the living voice, thing spoken, word
    1. any sound produced by the voice and having definite meaning
    2. speech, discourse
      1. what one has said
    3. a series of words joined together into a sentence (a declaration of one's mind made in words)
      1. an utterance
      2. a saying of any sort as a message, a narrative
        1. concerning some occurrence
  2. subject matter of speech, thing spoken of
    1. so far forth as it is a matter of narration
    2. so far as it is a matter of command

So my point is not that you are wrong, quite the contrary, you're right. We have to consider more than the written word of God as the word of God.

I can hear the still small voice of God at times. He has said plenty to me that isnt in scripture! Just because God had them print a field manual instruction manual for us doesn't mean that He cant talk anymore, lol!

You would be surprised how many do not know this still small voice, I like how you spoke of Rhema because I have not heard of this very often it is rarely spoken of but I do know that it is the spoken word of God

Logos being the written word and Rhema the spoken now what do we call the unspoken word of God? the way that he speaks through nature or from a babies laughter or how his awesomeness is seen in outer space?

He was using copies of the originals that had long disintegrated with use, wear and oxidation. His copies were pure.

The way I see it his word is his word, no matter the translation the spirit of truth cannot be limited by mans meddling with the bible or the countless translations out there
So his choice of preference would be the one true word and that comes from the mouth of Jesus himself

Yes, as Bob Harrington said years ago, the Bible translations are like brands of gas:
put em in the tank and they'll all get you where you need to go.

And we might add that even paraphrases will burn well enough to get you there,
albeit with a backfire or two along the way!

IOW, an inerrant Bible is not needed; only a sufficient Scripture.

Now you are twisting my words.

My Traditional Text is NOT Freemasonry.
The fact is that when I was invited to join a lodge by a friend, my King James Bible turned me AWAY from it with supernatural power.
It imparts to me faith so that I can pray for my friends, my brothers here with confidence and weep with gratitude that God Himself provided me His Holy Word in my own language.

I don't care if you reject that and think the only place it exists is in the ancient languages.
I'm glad that God kept His promise to preserve His Word for my generation. We don't have to pretend to know ancient Greek, Hebrew or Aramaic.

Most people do consider the Freemasonic books as sufficient.
