I think I understand. Like me, you dislike the term "Calvinism" and prefer "Doctrines of Grace." I don't agree that people use the term "Calvinism" to mock grace, or other people, or faith in God. I get more concerned when people misrepresent the Doctrines of Grace, saying things such as those who believe them believe only a few will be saved, or that God forces people to believe. Can a once truly saved believer backslide too much and lose the gift of salvation? If so do they need to repent and ask for forgiveness through Christ again? Thoughts are welcome and scripture too!

If we remember , there r those that will say ' Lord , Lord ' and Jesus will say ' depart from me I never knew u ' . To me , this implies that we don't always know wether we will b acceptable to Christ until the day that he judges us , so , we don't necessarily know 100 per cent that we r his until we meet him face to face . There will b some of us expecting to b in his Father's Kingdom and we r going to b disappointed . Scarry thought ? I think so too . We must not take our salvation for granted , I still sin and I still ask for forgiveness for my sins . Psalm 119 , verses 105-112 , especially verse 105 : Thy word is a lamp into my feet , and a light unto my path . What is the word to us ? Obviously it's the Bible and of course , Jesus is The Word made flesh . He lights our path to God and His Kingdom . If we aren't following in his footsteps ?
The parable of the ten virgins , what is the oil that keeps the lamps burning ? What happens if we run out of oil and our lamp goes out ? We fall asleep . The sleep in this parable isn't a physical one , it's a spiritual one . Once we allow ourselves to spiritually slumber ? We can b in big trouble .
We must read our Bibles and apply the things that we learn , the things that God Himself teaches us through His word the Bible and His Word made flesh , to our own lives .

My sole purpose in this thread when I first posted was to reasure people they don't have to be worried about losing there salvation.

If you love God your his., and if God knows you love him before you where born, what difference does it make whether you love him or not after your born,

Now for some bizarre unknown reason people here decided to label me a Calvinist preaching tulip then go berserk on me

Then decided to speak ill of a dead person John Calvin

Then proceeded to call people trol and cowards for not engaging with him

The same person then asked to make account for his actions has not made any account other than to defend his actions.

Well David do you think it should be me that should be the one to be made to give account for my actions ?
