For many believers, the King James Version (KJV) remains the gold standard of English Bibles. Its majesty, accuracy, and influence over four centuries are unmatched. Every word was carefully translated from the Hebrew and Greek texts available in 1611, and its language still carries a reverent beauty that honors God’s Word: "The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.” (Psalm 12:6 KJV)
That said, some readers may struggle with the older English phrasing (“thee, thou, ye, ye shall,” etc.) so the KJV (ER) addresses this. It is not only available in a regular print version, but also downloadable via Olivetree software app online digital bookstore.

Are you claiming that Psalm 12:6-7 is about the KJV? Are you aware that passage is used by KJV-only advocates to support the (ridiculous) claim that the KJV itself is the “words of God… purified seven times”?

If you weren’t aware, it’s a rather odd and suspicious coincidence. If you were aware, you are trying to slide in the association, and that is underhanded.

Brother, I’m not making a KJV-only argument — nor claiming Psalm 12:6–7 speaks about a particular translation.
I cited that verse simply to highlight the purity of God’s words themselves, which the KJV expresses so reverently.

I fully recognize that Psalm 12, in context, refers to the Lord preserving the righteous — but its imagery about the purity of God’s words still captures the reverent tone that translators like those of 1611 sought to reflect.

My point wasn’t that the KJV alone is God’s Word, but that its craftsmanship and language have honored the Word of God for centuries. Many believers, myself included, treasure it for that reason.

Grace and peace — no hidden agenda here, just gratitude for a translation that’s stood the test of time.

Clarifying My Post About the KJV and Psalm 12

Brother, I appreciate your concern, but your assumption doesn’t fit what I actually said — or what I believe.

If I were promoting a KJV-only position, I wouldn’t be using or recommending the KJVER (King James Version Easy Read) at all. The KJVER modernizes the traditional 1611 KJV by updating spelling, punctuation, and replacing some archaic words (“thee” → “you,” “shew” → “show,” “charity” → “love”) — all to make the text more accessible for today’s reader.

That alone makes it clear I’m not suggesting the original 1611 KJV is uniquely inspired or “purified seven times.” In fact, KJV-only advocates often reject the KJVER precisely because it isn’t the untouched 1611 text. So promoting the KJVER does the opposite of what you’re accusing me of — it actually refutes any KJV-only claim.

As for Psalm 12:6–7, I referenced it because it beautifully describes the purity of God’s words, not because it refers to any specific translation. The psalm’s truth applies to all faithful translations of Scripture. The KJV simply renders that verse in a way that powerfully reflects God’s Word as pure, trustworthy, and enduring.

I value the King James tradition because of its faithfulness and reverent language — not because I believe it is the only valid Bible. My post was meant to honor that heritage, not to sneak in a hidden agenda.

Grace and peace, brother. The goal is to lift up the Word of God itself — not to argue over which English form He can use to speak to His people.

My first Bible was a KJV.

"The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.” (Psalm 12:6 KJV)"

God spoke to his people before a Bible was published. Before the Hebrew scrolls.

Remember, we're told God is The Word.
God leads us and speaks to us. His words are personal, because this is a relationship we're in,and that word is pure.

While that what is called the word of God,the Bible, is now published in many versions. And an interesting parallel to those numbers is,there are a huge number of denominations. Some even have a particular Bible version they use as a matter of tradition.
