Matthew 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

This wisdom is not natural, it is heavenly, from God. It is as though there is one right way to deal with man and if you try the wrong way they will chew you up. That is why I loved teaching these kids, deal with them the right way and it is great, try the wrong way and you will get destroyed. You have to come in at their level, they are not interested in someone who is "wise and prudent", "high and mighty", someone who is "all that". I remember my second month of teaching. I lost my voice, I could not speak. I was terrified, I can barely control the class when I can speak, but I had no choice. So I started the class by asking a student to help me, I would whisper to them what I was saying and they would then speak it to the class. I was stunned, I got their full attention, they were extremely well behaved! I was now at their level and everything was completely different. They were happy to run the class and make it work.

26 Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.

This is right in God the Father's sight. Why would anyone have an inflated ego, He has created children and especially teenagers to rebel against the self righteous and those that think they are better than others.

27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

It was a stunning revelation when I realized that the same class that would destroy the average person could operate like a group of kids at an elite university if you approach them correctly. That is the other thing I learned by looking in the mirror. I went to an elite university and yet I knew as a teenager I was no different from any of these kids. We are all cut from the same hunk of cheese.

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

All teachers know the hardest thing is classroom management. If you can handle that then everything else is easy. You know immediately if you have a good teacher or not by simply looking at how the class behaves. I shared a classroom with a strict disciplinarian. This guy taught very different than me. I treated the kids like they were college kids at a very good university. They could walk around, consult with their friends, etc. My go to assumption is that they were doing what they needed to do to get the job done. He was very different, when he taught the kids sat in rows listening to him. But he was a good teacher, very effective and the kids liked him. The style was very different, but the respect for the kids was the same. I treated the kids the way I wanted to be treated and he treated the kids the way he wanted to be treated. They understood that in both classes we were showing them respect.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

When I was first teaching some kid cursed me out as he walked out of the classroom. I realized I would not survive long if this is what I had to deal with on a daily basis. So I adjusted myself, I decided I would appreciate the kids for who they were, not for what I was hoping they would be. I also decided if I was going to make it I could not pretend to be someone else, I had to use my skills, my talents, basically be who I was. My approach was very different from the other teachers, but it was very effective, I was being who I was. I was very mathematical, I used statistical analysis on everything I did. I did poorly on my observations until I was able to show the principle that my students were outperforming all the other students city wide on the state exam, and were outperforming every other class in the school when comparing results on their state exams. The best teachers in the school were in the top 25% of the city, my kids were in the top 5-6%. For me to have success, it was a rest to my soul.

I share this again because it appears we have arrived at this internal revolution started by the Communists here in this country.

I have been in frequent communication with this brother. If you have read this blog you know I have avoided timelines. Everyone has a timeline, which means that almost all of them are not fully correct. However, the real value in a timeline, in my opinion, is not to generate a theory but to check a theory. In math you are supposed to try a second different approach to confirm your answer and I think if you have a theory that originated from the Bible it is valuable to then check it with this second approach.

May 14, 1948

He starts with the day that Israel became a nation again. I think this is an excellent approach. Most of us know that we can start with the day Jesus was crucified for a timeline. However, based on that timeline you will get Israel being a nation and all things being fulfilled in that generation. This means the date they became a nation is also a viable candidate, a nail that is set in a secure place on which you can hang your timeline.

Apophis

Apophis is also a Biblically accurate point of reference. In Nebuchadnezzar's dream in Daniel a stone that is not cut with hands smashes the statue. This stone is similar to the story of David. Jesus Christ the Greater David hurls a stone at this giant statue representing the sum of human civilization in one last great empire and the whole empire crumbles and falls. It is very reasonable to consider that Apophis is that stone.

Moses Rises?

I don't know what he means by this or how he came up with this. Elijah comes down 11 days before this and the 1260 day ministry begins. He comes up with this conclusion based on his theory that Elijah is one of the two witnesses and Elijah has to die on Passover. I don't agree with that. Jesus died on Passover, that began the church age and when the two witnesses are killed and then taken up, that is end of the church age. Passover is the first day of a seven day feast known as the Feast of unleavened bread. This feast begins with Jesus being killed prior to the start, so it is reasonable to me that the two witnesses are killed at the very end of this feast. Also, does their ministry of proclaiming that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, does that end when they are killed or when they rise again from the dead 3 1/2 days later. After all we are told their bodies are left in the streets being live streamed to the whole earth. When everyone sees them rise that is when the Jews repent and see Him whom they pierced and flee Jerusalem.

October 31

I believe that the tribulation will begin with the three days of darkness and that the dress rehearsal for those three days is October 31, Nov 1 and Nov 2 (Halloween, All Saints Day and Day of the Dead). October 31 is a very big day in the New Testament. Jesus said it would be as the days of Noah and that is the day of the flood. Jesus told Sardis they need to go back to how they first dug into the word or else they would not know the hour of His return and if Sardis represents the Protestant Reformation this would be a direct reference to October 31 when Martin Luther nailed the 95 thesis to the door of the church.

It is lawful to do good

Matthew 12:1 At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn and to eat.

At what time? After He has trained up and released the 12 disciples to spread the gospel. Think of a rocket launch, Jesus taking off is the start, then you have the second stage of the rocket, that is the 12. Now at this time Jesus is igniting the third stage. He is focused, like a smart missile, on the rabbinical traditions surrounding the sabbath day.

2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.

The hardest lies to address are the ones that are based on truth. There is a whole lot of truth around keeping the Sabbath holy. What the enemy has done is to enforce those laws ruthlessly, turning a blessing from God into a curse on the people.

3 But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him; 4 How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?

This shows that God is not ruthless. The law is there, but not to be punitive, but rather so that people would be blessed. There is a blessing to the family and to people to keep the sabbath day holy. If you stop doing that you lose a lot. But David and his men signify those who will flee into the wilderness from the Antichrist (King Saul is a shadow of the Antichrist).

5 Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?

This is another verse that proves that there are times when life supersedes the law concerning the sabbath. The child is not a sinner for being born 8 days before the sabbath. God understands that.

6 But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.

This is the most powerful verse, in your face, to the Jewish leaders. Wow!

7 But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.

So according to what we have read Jesus took the disciples who were hungering, into a field where they could eat grains off of the plants. It is legal in the Bible to do that. The Pharisees are not accusing them of stealing they are saying the act of eating can be considered "work" and you aren't allowed to work on the sabbath. This is the most merciless interpretation of scripture. Jesus says that according to the Bible you are supposed to have the most merciful interpretation. That is what God means when He says He would have mercy and not sacrifice. For example, the book of Ruth. There was a merciless interpretation that she was a Moabite and so have nothing to do with her. The merciful interpretation is that she is the widow of an Israelite so a near kinsman needs to take her in and care for her. Jesus' lineage is the merciful one.

8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

A Lord is not the same thing as a king. A Lord is the owner of the land. Jesus is the incarnated word of God, He owns the word concerning the Sabbath, He is Lord of the Sabbath. He wants this word understood as a blessing and a mercy, Satan is trying to distort the word to be a curse and a way to condemn people.

9 And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue: 10 And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him.

This is a different question. Jesus' ministry is to heal. So the real question here is which ministry trumps the other ministry? You have the ministry of Moses, the Law, and you have the ministry of Jesus, the Messiah. Can Jesus carry out His ministry on the sabbath or does He have to cede authority to the Jewish religious leaders on the sabbath?

11 And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?

Suppose you had an animal, I don't have sheep, but I do have a dog. So suppose my dog was trapped in a pit on the sabbath and so I tell him just wait till tomorrow and then I'll help you? He is not going to understand, he is going to freak out. In the same way what kind of message is this to those in need of healing on the sabbath to say to them, no, our religion does not allow us to help you on the sabbath?

12 How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.

Satan wants man to curse God because of the law. It is absurd. The whole point of the law is to do good, not to do evil.

13 Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.

This reminds me of this topic of the rapture. When we (there are many people who have focused on this topic recently) began to dive into this it restored our understanding of the Bible. It was as though our hand was withered, we didn't know the prophecies, didn't know details about the Antichrist or about the Great Babylon or about the rapture. And when I talk to Christians and they ask me about my blog you can see a look of disgust when I tell them it is about the rapture. It is as though "we aren't allowed to discuss that". They seem to think I have violated some unwritten rule.

And in His name you will learn to trust

Matthew 12:14 Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him.

Jesus told them that his ministry supersedes theirs, so now they want to destroy Him, now they are in direct rebellion against God. Imagine you are one of the 12 disciples who just finished your training in the last chapter and now are just starting to minister according to the Lord's word. Of course when you first start you are hungry, little or no support from anyone. Maybe even a cold shoulder from those you thought would be helpful. The Lord leads you into a field to eat and now the religious leaders are complaining that is not allowed because they want to be the ones in charge, they want to be Lord. But Jesus defends you and lets them know in no uncertain terms that He is Lord, not them. If you do stand strong, if you heed the Lord's word to "stretch forth your hand" you will be restored, you will be healed. But at the same time be assured, Satan is meeting to discuss how to destroy your ministry.

15 But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all; 16 And charged them that they should not make him known: 17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, 18 Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.

This is a spiritual war. You do not want to stand out, or else you will be shot down. What is stealth technology? It simply makes it hard to see your airplane or ship or tank or whatever. A stealth airplane has a much smaller signature on radar than a regular airplane. This is like having a very small ego. You are nothing, you don't advertise, you don't promote. You simply heal in the wilderness and withdrawn from the synagogues (the churches). You want your ministry to have the smallest footprint possible.

19 He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.

It used to be you had these street criers who were selling newspapers and they would yell "Hear all about it..." Today we have "click bait", "something big is about to happen". Do not do any of that.

20 A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.

John the Baptist was a reed that was not shaken in the wind. A reed is simply a voice speaking on behalf of the Lord. Many who start out on ministry quickly become "bruised reeds". I became a bruised reed, I assumed Jesus would break me and that was the end of my ministry. Satan definitely held a council on how to destroy me and they really did a job on me. But here is a promise, Jesus will not break a bruised reed. Smoking flax refers to a torch that is out of oil. Once the oil runs out they smoke, and them people will quench them, put them into water to put them completely out. When you first start a ministry the oil is always on the verge of running out. The oil is your personal experiences of the Holy Spirit. Perhaps He made a bible verse real to you, maybe you had a revelation, a praise, a prayer, whatever.

21 And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.

People see how you respond in these situations and that is how they learn to trust in the Lord. There is a price, Satan will try to destroy you and those wounds will go deep. But there is also a reward, people will learn to trust in your ministry.

How else can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods?

Matthew 12:22 Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.

The blind ones are those who don't see all the things happening today were prophesied to happen right before Jesus' return. The dumb ones are those who have stayed silent. They were spectators in church but now they are speaking on Youtube channels or some other way.

23 And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?

There has been a dramatic change in the last five years. Five years ago I thought at most there would be ten other people interested in this blog. Today it seems everyone is talking about the rapture and saying "is not this Jesus, the Messiah, about to return?"

24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

This is really big, just as big as Jesus saying He is the Lord of the sabbath. This is an official rejection of Jesus Christ as the Messiah. The people just asked "is this not the son of David" meaning is not this the promised Messiah, the one anointed to be king? The Pharisees are giving an evil report just like the ten spies.

25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: 26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?

Satan's kingdom shall not stand, this is their problem. The movies the Godfather depicts the five mafia families in NY and how they were divided and how the Corleone family went to war against the other four families. Betrayal and stabbing people in the back is simply Satan's kingdom being divided. His kingdom is built on alliances which are all doomed to ultimately crack and break and fall apart.

27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.

Your children know your sins but are not guilty of them. This is what a whistleblower is. They learn of sins of a company or group that they were not responsible for but discovered they were assisting. Pray for whistleblowers, pray for children of the criminals to come forward and testify. This is how devils get exposed and get thrown out.

28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.

Pray for executives at all the fortune 500 companies to come to know the Lord Jesus and to bring forth fruit worthy of repentance. Pray that everything done in secret would come to light. Pray for politicians, pray for judges, and policemen, and all that are in authority.

29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.

Pray that the strong man be bound. Pray that the fortune 500 companies would be bound. Pray that the US and China, the superpowers, would be bound. Make sure these prayers are covered under the wings of the Lord, that they are "stealthy" or else Satan will be holding a conference on how to destroy you. Also pray that the people who are speaking will grow and multiply so that there are so many speaking that Satan is overwhelmed by being hit on all sides.

every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment

Matthew 12:30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

People do not need to directly oppose a ministry to be against it, they can simply not be with you. The Gideon's have a ministry to evangelize the earth and to distribute the word of God worldwide. They have given out over 2.6 billion Bibles worldwide. A church is not going to come out publicly "against them", but they will refuse to partner with them. Why? LGBTQ+ churches have nothing to do with the Gideon's because the Gideon ministry proclaims that the Bible is the inerrant word of God.

31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

This has been greatly misunderstood. They just said that Jesus was casting out devils by Beelezebub. The Jews asked the religious leaders "Is not this the son of David" meaning is not Jesus the Messiah (Messiah means anointed one to be king). The only way you can be forgiven of your sins is if you receive the blood of Jesus Christ to cleanse you. Jesus is telling them that if they reject Him as the Messiah there is no way to be forgiven. Hence it is an unforgivable sin.

32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

The Holy Spirit is proclaiming that Jesus Christ is the Messiah. If you reject that then you cannot be forgiven. No one can say "Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior but by the Holy Spirit".

33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.

Satan is a serpent and serpents always try to hide. Satan will use poison and poison is always hidden in something you might otherwise eat or drink. Jesus is saying to shine a light so that Satan cannot be hidden. Either you have a good tree or a corrupt tree. Shine a light so that we can see which is which.

34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

Satan tries to disguise himself as an angel of light. You will have evil people as pastors, preachers, and pretending to be "Men of God". But their heart is filled with evil and therefore that evil will come out of the mouth. They can't help it. Pray for the secrets of the heart to be revealed and manifested.

35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

There are good treasures and there are evil treasures. A lot of people are very vocal on how to solve our current financial crisis. They are giving solutions out of the good treasure of the heart. Cut costs, raise taxes, tighten the belt, etc. But realize there are evil men who also have solutions that are going to come forth out of the evil treasure. Another way to solve this is similar to the "final solution" that Germany employed. They can't hide the fact that this is their solution. "You will own nothing and be happy". If they take away everything you own why would you be "happy"? Perhaps because the people who were not "happy" were beheaded?

36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

A lot of time when you catch someone saying something evil they will backpedal "it was a joke". That means it was "an idle word". Look at what happened to many people who "joked" about Charlie Kirk being assassinated. They had to give account and they were fired. That is a merciful warning to you, repent of all these things you say, because one day any idle word that you did not repent of you will have to give account of.

37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

We are justified by the blood of Jesus and we are condemned because we are sinners. We should be confessing the blood of Jesus often, daily, not just for words spoken but for words thought.

Simple secret on how to have a close relationship to Jesus

Matthew 12:38 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.

Jesus has just pronounced judgment on the religious leaders of the Jews in Jerusalem. They made an official proclamation that He was not the Messiah, this was the "evil report" and so I believe this evil report was given on the 9th of Av since that date is a shadow of this event.

When God gives a judgment He will give a sign, so they are saying if this judgment is from God give us a sign.

39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: 40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Temple records show that beginning in 30 AD the sacrifice on the Day of Atonement was not accepted by God for the next 40 years until 70 AD when the temple was cast down without one stone remaining on another, and that was on the 9th of Av. Therefore I believe that this word spoken by the Lord was on the 9th of Av in 30 AD and just like the sign of Jonah they were given 40 years (rather than 40 days) where the prophets were walking throughout the land telling them to repent. We usually equate this three days and three nights to the three days Jesus was in the tomb. No doubt that is a valid interpretation. However, in Jonah's sign he warned them that in 40 days there would be judgement and here the 40 days become 40 years. Therefore this "three days" could also be interpreted as three years. Jesus ministry was three and half years, and it could be saying that during this time "he was in the belly of the beast". For example, consider Tom Brady, he was a quarterback in the NFL, just doing his job, trying to score touchdowns for his team. During his time as a quarterback when did other teams have their defense trying to stop him from doing that? All the time. The word Satan means opposer. Once you start a ministry Satan is trying to stop that ministry. From the very beginning you are in the belly of the beast. However, it is not immediately apparent. They will try to destroy you secretly. It isn't until they are forced to come out and say that Jesus is one with Beelzebub that you can see this is the belly of the beast. To me this means that Jesus could not have been crucified in 30 AD, or 33 AD. The math doesn't work out.

41 The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.

The church is "the men of Nineveh". We were pagans, we were sinners, and we repented at the preaching of Jesus so we will rise in judgment of the Jews for rejecting Jesus and rejecting the 12 apostles.

42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

Once again this is the church. The gospel has gone out to the four corners of the earth and there are believers who are in the uttermost parts of the earth who have come to the wisdom of Jesus Christ.

43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. 44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. 45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

It is not sufficient to simply be forgiven of your sins and now go about your life as before, only without those sins. Those unclean spirits will return with a vengeance. What you need to do is fortify yourself with faith. Build up your life in the faith so that you have put on the full armor of God and your house is a fortress against evil.

46 While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him. 47 Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. 48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? 49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! 50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

James was the brother of the Lord. You can imagine everyone would have looked to him as the one who truly knew Jesus better than anyone. As a result he was seen as the head elder in the church in Jerusalem. Imagine you want to see the President of the US and you are one of his children. You probably don't have much trouble seeing him. Whereas if I want to see him you would probably consider me a nut. Not going to happen. Jesus is telling you that there is one sure fire way to have that kind of relationship with Jesus, simply do the will of the Father which is in heaven.

Is it simple? Yes. Does that make it easy? No. You had better pay close attention to all the instructions the Lord has given you because Satan will try to destroy you.

The path to being fruitful

Matthew 13:1 The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.

The sea represents the nations and the land represents Israel. Think of the same day that Jesus went out of the house (indicating the temple of God) he stood on Israel besides the nations. This is precisely what happened immediately after Jesus ascended to the heavens with the apostles. That which has been is that which will be. Likewise this will also be what happens immediately after the rapture.

2 And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.

The house signified the house of God which at that time was the Jewish temple. Jesus goes out of the Jewish temple, begins the ministry on the land by the sea and then enters a boat which signifies the church. The Jews have not entered the boat, they are standing on the land, but they are listening to the Lord speak from the church.

3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;

At the most basic level evangelism is sowing the seed and the seed is the word of God.

4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:

When I was involved in campus ministry we used to "paper" the campus with tracts. We might hand out three hundred in a cafeteria or at a lecture hall and sure enough the ground would be covered with tracts being thrown out. In one cafeteria a bunch of kids took all the tracts and made a house of cards which they then blew down.

5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:

We have definitely seen this with the watchmen ministry. A lot of people get excited that the Lord is about to return, and spring up.

6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

But then they wither away when that particular "high watch date" comes and goes. They always want to blame someone else for their "withering away" but the truth is they wither away because they have a stony heart. In 1972 the Lord told me I would see His return, so I have very little sympathy for someone who withers away after a few months or a few years.

7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:

When I first got baptized I was living on campus, and I had 7 roommates (it was a two apartment suite connected by a shared bathroom). Thorns signify sinners and we were all sinners. One of the first things I did was to move into a brothers house and in that house we had no TV. If you spend 2, or 4, or even more hours a day watching TV that is time that you don't have to get into the word, and to get into fellowship. It is choking the life out of you. We had six meetings a week with the church -- Wed. night prayer meeting, Friday night ministry of the word, Saturday morning service on the church building, Saturday night was young people's meeting, Sunday morning meeting and Lord's table was Sunday night. In addition I would generally be invited to someone's home for fellowship at least once in that week. The reason I had time for all that was because there was no TV. If you don't cut off the thorns when you are saved, both friends who are unsaved and other tools of kingdom of darkness like TV and the music industry, then you will choke off the word of God.

8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.

Do not blame others, if you are not bringing forth fruit check your heart.

9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Who knows, if you work hard by the end of your ministry you might be bringing forth a hundredfold also.

Matthew 13:10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?

Why do we need to interpret these parables? What I just shared is common teaching among the Christian teachers, but why not just say it clearly in black and white rather than using the analogy of sowing seeds into the ground?

11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

Do you get that? Why is it given to us to know the mysteries and not to them? It is not because of any works that we have done. No it is because we have received Jesus Christ as Lord and savior. Because of that we can ask and we will receive. Ask the Lord before reading the word to open it up to you so that you could know the mysteries of the kingdom of the heaven. Think of all those self help books that the world publishes, Jesus gave us the mystery of self help. You have to be patient, seeds take weeks, months even years to grow up and bring forth fruit. Don't worry about the seed, it will take care of itself, worry about the rocks in your heart, worry about the evil birds invading you, and worry about the weeds and thorns. The evil birds represent witchcraft, the occult and the power of the air. Every record album that is produced by the music industry is "charmed" with witchcraft spells. If you own record albums you have brought idolatrous items into your home from the occult world, you have opened a door to them to come into your home. The same is true of a lot of TV and movies, especially the horror movies which are all occultic. There is no way to have a successful harvest if your field is full of birds eating the seeds. Pray over your home, take the Lord's blood, rebuke the evil spirits saying "The Lord Jesus Christ rebuke thee". I took all my albums when I got saved and put them into a metal garbage can, poured gasoline on them and burned them up. The next day I poured that trash and ashes into a dumpster. Be absolute in cutting of anything that is idolatrous. I threw away all my T shirts from concerts.

We have a stony heart, what does that mean? Well ask yourself do you want to go to the church meeting tonight? If not, why not? That will almost certainly be a stone that is in your heart that needs to be removed. Why do you think many people got offended when Jesus did not return on the day they thought He might? Perhaps they were hoping they wouldn't have to go to work anymore or they wouldn't have to pay their bills. That is a stony heart. We are told to occupy till He comes.

Then are you surrounded by thorns? Are there unbelievers in your life that want you to do things that grieves your spirit? I remember when people would want me to go shopping with them at the Mall. I hate the mall. I could not stand it and yet they loved it. Why? I hated it because it was a waste of three hours of my time, they loved it because it killed three hours of their time. Thorns love anything that wastes time. They will gladly sit in front of a TV for eight hours a day. Farmers don't do that because they know there is always something they can be doing that will help them reap a bigger harvest. I can pull weeds. I can dig up stones and build a wall with those stones. I can go out and shoot birds.

12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

Think about these people who thought they would live off of EBT, WIC, SNAP, Section 8 and all the various forms of welfare in this country. Now it is being taken away from them. This is why the Lord does what He does, God can discern our hearts. God can see our stony heart, He knows how bad it is, you can't hide that from him. Digging up those stones and building stone walls, that is some serious labor. But getting rid of thorns can be very simple and fun. Set fire to them. That is how many farmers will clear a field. Be careful, you don't want to burn down your neighbors house, but as long as you are simply dealing with the thorns on your property you will be fine.

13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

This is a very scary verse. Unbelievers think that they are high and mighty. If they don't believe in God it is your job to convince them otherwise. They don't realize that their attitude reveals their heart and that is what God is doing, He is discerning the hearts. If you are too proud and arrogant to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as savior, know that this is the reason He has spoken to you in the way He has, because seeing you see not, hearing you hear not and you do not understand that with what judgment you judge you shall be judged.

14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: 15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

I have been watching videos of people melting down because their EBT card is declined. The best description of them is that their heart has waxed gross. They are so disgusting it is hard to believe it is real.

16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. 17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

There truly is a blessing to be right with the Lord. It is as though everything works like a well tuned engine.

18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. 19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

The wicked one refers to witchcraft, to the occult, to Nephilim, to deceitful workers, to fallen angels disguised as angels of light. This word "understandeth" is first used in this chapter in verse 13. It means to consider, to be wise. This means you are to hear the word and consider how to apply it to yourself. If you are not applying the word to yourself then the wicked one can come and snatch it away. You can then use this word to condemn others, to slander others, to be one with the accuser of the brethren.

20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; 21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

To have no root in himself is a fascinating expression. We learned recently that the single best way to predict how successful a five year old kid will be is whether or not they have "root in themselves". They place the kid in a room by themself with a treat, say a cupcake. They tell the kid that when they get back they will give them two cupcakes but don't eat that one. If the kid can wait it is a strong indication of future success, if they can't it is a strong indication of future failure. It is the same with farming. You have a jar full of wheat seeds. You could grind them up into flour and eat something today, or you can plant them, care for the plants and in five or six months have a hundred jars of wheat seeds.

22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

People don't realize how deceitful riches are. If you have a second house, you have a big headache. It will sap you of all your time. In fact buying a house may be a smart investment, but it will also sap you of your time and it never ends the time it will take from you. The same thing with a boat, or a pool or any thing else that is associated with "riches". What is the number one reason why someone can't come to a meeting or participate in a ministry "I have to work". The cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches are the two main culprits in choking the word. All the while you can say to yourself "I'm a good person". Yes we are required to provide for our family, but that doesn't mean vacations at Disney world, and large screen TVs, and a pool and a vacation home.

23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

It is interesting that He starts with the ones who bring forth a hundredfold. Those are the ones we see as new believers, they are the mentors, the examples for us. Then we might see our local pastor and he is bringing forth sixty fold, and a ministry leader at our church is bringing forth thirty fold. You start at the beginning, but every year you can be a little more successful at getting rid of the birds, the stones and the thorns. Who knows, if you work hard by the end of your ministry you might be bringing forth a hundred fold also.

Let both grow together until the harvest

Matthew 13:24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: 25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

What an awesome parable that too many do not take to heart. The evangelists go out and sow good seed, the word of God, in the gospel field. Out of these seeds the church will grow up. But sprinkled in the midst are tares, they also are sown by the enemy. When they are growing they look like wheat, not easy to distinguish the two. But when they bring forth fruit the tares are black and they stand straight up as though arrogant. The wheat is golden and the stalks bow down due to the weight, and they appear to be in worship. The Lord is telling you that in your midst the enemy has sown these evil seeds. To celebrate Halloween is to celebrate a satanic festival. It may be that some people are simply useful idiots, but you can be sure that the real people who are involved in the occult have decorated their houses for Halloween or in some way or other are open about their celebration. Drive around town and you can see they are sprinkled into the field. The same is true of the church. There will be true believers bowed in worship bringing forth golden fruit, and there will be proud arrogant, self righteous ones bringing forth poisonous fruit.

26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.

It would be easy to mistake the wheat for tares while they are growing, but not once they bring forth fruit. You will know the false prophets by their fruit. Is their fruit poisonous, sinful? I used to meet at a church that would have a big Christmas play every year. It was a big production and when everyone who was involved was considered they probably had a hundred people involved in this production when you considered everyone. What was the fruit? I was not aware of a single person who was brought into the church as a result of seeing one of those plays. It was a big ministry, involved a significant budget, but then when the play would be done they would have an altar call, hardly anyone ever went up to that altar call. I remember as a kid I would be so angry that the priest was preaching about Vietnam. I thought "I am coming here to find out what the Bible says, no one ever tells you that, at the very least I would think the Priest at the Episcopalian church would on Sunday, but no, he wants to talk about Vietnam". There was a day a few months ago where I realized I had had 20,000 new visitors who had visited this blog for the first time in the last 24 hours! In fact this has happened twice this year, where I get 20,000 new visitors in a single day. People want to know what the Bible says, but Tares can't do that, what they can do is spend a lot of money and a lot of time on a play that they claim will help evangelize even though the fact is clear that it doesn't.

27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? 28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

This is just as terrifying as verse 13 was. Take a look at Christianity, you have all kinds of churches growing together. You have the ones with Jesus freaks, those who are absolute for the Lord, preaching the gospel all the time. But you also have the big established denominations with Billion dollar trust funds, and with a priest who meets with the mayor. You have the churches that proudly fly the Pride flag outside the building and will let you know that they consider the Bible to be anachronistic, and misogynistic. The Lord is letting them grow together, but when the rapture takes place then at the same time all those who lied to people about the Bible and the Lord will be thrown into the fire and burned.

If you are looking for a church what should you look for?

Matthew 13:31 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: 32 Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

We should not be so simple, we should be wise as serpents. If we are out there preaching the gospel there are others who are out there preaching a different message. When the printing press was first made they printed a Bible. But soon they were printing pornographic magazines. Radio and TV can be used to spread the gospel, but it can also be used to spread the kingdom of darkness.

Mustard is a herb, it should be a small bush, but this has grown into a great tree and the birds of the air lodge in the branches. These are the ones who steal the word of God. The Bible says that vengeance belongs to God, He will repay. But Hollywood idolizes people who take vengeance into their own hands, like Batman. The church should be a small gathering of people in the name of the Lord Jesus who speak the word of God as a healthy food for you to live. Instead it has grown into a great tree like the Vatican or like a Denomination with a Billion dollar trust fund. They have hundreds of employees like Cardinals, a bird, roosting in the tree. This is a distortion of the word of God. It is like the Nephilim, the children that result from fallen angels mating with human women.

In the last parable we are told to let both grow together, in this parable we are told some will be a mustard plant, a small bush, and some will be a great tree. In one you will have a herb that is good for food, and in the other you will have evil, occultic birds roosting. If you are looking for a church, you can easily see the "great trees". Avoid those, instead look for the small mustard plants that are a simple bush.

How do you identify false doctrines?

Matthew 13:33 Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

The title is somewhat misleading because instead of false doctrines what I really mean is doctrines of man. The reason they are false is because they present themselves as the word of God. They aren't, they are simply the doctrines of man.

For example, Christianity celebrates a day that is 40 days after Easter as the "Day of Ascension". This is the doctrine of man and is not Biblical. But wait you might say, the Bible says that Jesus appeared to the disciples 40 times after being raised from the dead until the day He was taken up. That is true. But it also says the second time He appeared was a week after the first time. So then you would say if he appeared 40 times (and the word for time can be translated as day, he appeared to them on forty days), then you would have to say it was 47 or 48 days after the resurrection. But wait, there is more. The third time Jesus appeared to them was at the Sea of Galilee, that is a two to three day walk from Jerusalem. At the very least, according to the Bible you would have to say that it was 49 days after the resurrection. But wait, there is more, when Jesus does ascend to heaven they are all gathered together in Jerusalem. 50 days after Passover is Shavuot, a feast of the Lord where all the Jews have to gather together in Jerusalem. Now it is possible to argue (at this point) that Jesus ascended to heaven the day before Shavuot. But wait He tells them to remain in Jerusalem until the Spirit is poured out on them? If they had all come to Jerusalem for Shavuot which is the next day then of course they will remain until Shavuot (Christianity teaches that Shavuot is Pentecost). At this point it is still possible to argue that, despite it being illogical, but then it says they remained their for many days (plural). At this point it is no longer possible to say that Pentecost is on Shavuot. However the term "Pentecost" means fifty and it is fifty days from Shavuot to the Feast of new wine.

This is what leaven looks like, it mingles with the word of God, it is a doctrine of man, it makes bread that you can eat, and it seems relatively harmless. Does it matter when we celebrate Jesus' ascension or Pentecost? What harm does it do? The answer is simple, if you know that Jesus ascended on Shavuot then you know that Shavuot was a shadow of the ascension. It was a feast of the first fruit of the wheat harvest, followed by Moses ascending the mountain. You realize that the apostles were the first fruits of the wheat harvest and Jesus ascension was a fulfillment of the shadow of Moses ascending the mountain. You also learn that Pentecost was the same day that Moses came down from the mountain, broke the ten commandments and three thousand Israelites were killed who were involved in an orgy of idolatrous worship. On Pentecost three thousand were saved. You can see both the judgment and the salvation in this one day.

People equate leaven with sin, but it is far more subtle than that. Jesus said clearly that leaven represents the doctrines of men. Those doctrines are designed to cause you to miss the mark. If Satan can't stop you from being saved and being a disciple of Jesus at least he can try to keep you from hitting the mark. Create some doctrines of men that will make it hard for you to understand the word of God.

I like to compare this to the weight room. Sometimes to debunk a doctrine of man is like lifting weights, it makes you stronger in the word of God.

34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them: 35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

The Bible is filled with things kept secret from the foundation of the world. If you want to know the secrets it is up to you to do the heavy lifting. Lazy people make excuses why they don't need to do that, someone else will do that. Fine, someone else will be raptured, too.

This chapter is clear as crystal, there is a hell

Matthew 13:36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. 37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; 38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; 39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. 40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. 41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

We have covered this already, but two things do stand out that we should emphasize. "The children of the wicked one". Christians talk about being born of God. This is a result of receiving the word of God into your heart and letting it grow. Well in the same way there are children of the wicked one who have received the word of the wicked one into their heart and let it grow. The music industry and the movie industry are two examples of how the wicked one speaks his word into people.

The second thing I wanted to highlight is people will accuse us of taking liberties in our Bible interpretation. Jesus has laid out exactly how to read a parable here. You cannot come up with this interpretation if you only look at the parable, you have to look at in the context of the whole Bible. The Lord likened Himself to a grain of wheat being put into the ground, so we cannot interpret wheat in any other way but the sons of God. Tares are poisonous, so instead of sons of God these must be the sons of the evil one. It is a picture, so it is worth a thousand words, but the picture is specific enough when you understand the full context of the Bible that you can debunk the attempts at bogus interpretations.

44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

Jesus did not tell this parable to the multitude, they have already been sent home. This is told only to the disciples in the house (the church is the house of God). He just told us that the field is the world, now we learn that the church is hidden in the world. The big mega churches with a big television presence, advertising, signs and congregation in the thousands is not "hidden" in the field. Every single church has their own "field", their own community, their own ministry. What you need to pray for is a revelation of the surpassing greatness of our inheritance in Christ. You will see that it is intertwined with the church, the Body of christ and then you will sell all so that you could own a piece of this. When you go to the mega churches the message is you don't need to sell anything to be saved, don't worry about it, go back to sleep. In this parable the kingdom of the heaven is likened to the treasure, but this man who found it, he sells all so that he could be a part of it.

45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: 46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

The gates to the New Jerusalem are each marked with a pearl. A pearl indicates our entrance into the kingdom of the heavens. This merchant realized to enter into the kingdom of the heavens, that is the uttermost prize and so he sold all so that he could enter in. Do they teach this in "Once Saved Always Saved" classes? Don't they condemn what the Lord just said here as a "works based salvation"? Jesus didn't say that "he sold all to be saved", no "he sold all to buy that pearl". If you want to have precious experiences of the Lord Jesus there is a price to pay. But once you have those experiences they belong to you, they are yours. A great experience of the Lord always begins with the revelation of this great pearl followed by this brother or sister selling all to buy it.

47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: 48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.

Just because you have been caught up in the Lord's net does not mean you are not going to be cast away. What separates the "good" from the "bad"? The good are the ones that hear the Lord's word, consider it, and then apply it to themselves. They are the ones getting rid of the birds, digging up the rocks and burning all the thorns on their field and planting good seed. There are two different fields mentioned here. One field is your heart. The other field is the world. You don't have to have tares planted in your heart. In the world we have both, we have the mustard plants and the great trees with the birds. But in your heart you can simply have the mustard plant. Dig up the desire to have the great tree. According to the "Once Saved Always Saved" doctrine once you are caught up in the Lord's net you are saved. Perhaps, being "cast away" simply means you will reside in the garbage dump of the kingdom of the heavens? Personally I think it is very hard, if not impossible, to reconcile the way many teach the OSAS doctrine to this chapter. Granted some merely teach the assurance of salvation, which is true. But others teach that dealing with the birds, and the stones and the thorns is a "works based salvation" and is condemned. They teach you can't buy salvation so selling all to buy that pearl is condemned. That is sort of true, you can't buy salvation from hell, but you have to pay a price if you want precious experiences of the Lord Jesus Christ.

49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, 50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Some even will tell you that this is not true, there is no hell. The only reason anyone would listen to that is because they hear what they want to hear and disregard the rest. This chapter is clear as crystal that there is a hell and anyone who tells you differently is a false prophet.

Family and friends have a special form of unbelief

Matthew 13: 51 Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord. 52 Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

We are not all scribes. Everyone of us can get the revelation of a precious pearl of great worth and we can sell all to own that pearl. You will read of experiences that other Christians had and say "I want those experiences". Pray about it, ask and you will receive. That is what happened to me. I heard about the Lord coming down in great glory with his army behind Him and I thought "that is what I want, I want to be there with Jesus and to be part of that army". Pray about what it is you want and then all you need to do is to sell all to own that pearl, that experience.

53 And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence. 54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works? 55 Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? 56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things? 57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. 58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Do not be surprised if you have the same experience with your own family and friends. They have a special form of unbelief and they will be offended. However, both James and Jude will later be writers of New Testament books. The Jews are Jesus "own country", they are the ones having the hardest time seeing that He is the Messiah. It is easier for us, who are not Jews to see this than it is for them.

How Daniel's 9:27 Covenant Works - Unlocking SECRET Provisions for Mark of the Beast

According to this theory the Pact for the Future made during the Feast of trumpets in 2024 is the seven year covenant mentioned in Daniel 9:27. Daniel doesn't say that the Antichrist makes the covenant or that he even confirms it, what Daniel says is that he strengthens it.

The covenant initially looks relatively benign, and harmless. But then when it is strengthened with the mark of the beast, then it looks scary and evil.

Now at the 18 minute mark Nelson says this means the seven year tribulation began in 2024. I completely disagree even though I do agree this is the covenant that Daniel was referring to. The Bible never says that the tribulation is seven years. Instead it says the covenant is seven years. It also refers to the 70th week which is also a seven year period. Are they the same seven year period? We don't know.

What we do know is that the tribulation will be the greatest tribulation in human history and not only so, but that judgment must begin at the house of God which I understand to mean the US, as the Great Babylon is judged and that is what kicks off the Great tribulation. No where in the Bible does it say the making of this seven year covenant kicks off the tribulation. Antichrist, the man of lawlessness, is revealed after the restrainer steps aside. Only then would he strengthen the covenant with a mark of the beast.

So to my understanding it is the Great Babylon being judged in one hour that kicks off the tribulation. It is that tribulation that necessitates the "strengthening of the Pact for the future" revealing the Antichrist as the man of sin.

Also, what the Bible does describe is two periods of 1,260 days which appear to be the time of each half of the seven year tribulation. But if you want to go by that it begins with the ministry of the two witnesses which begins just like Elisha's ministry, right after Elijah is raptured.

The all seeing eye becomes aware of Jesus and His disciples

Matthew 14:1 At that time Herod the tetrarch heard of the fame of Jesus, 2 And said unto his servants, This is John the Baptist; he is risen from the dead; and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.

In this chapter we take a turn. Up to this point the disciples are being trained to carry the message of the gospel as priests. They are being warned of all the pitfalls and all the ways that Satan will try to attack and hinder them. The Lord has been raising up an army and He started with the 12 apostles. By the end of this age this army will have grown to 144,000. Jesus told us that "the least in the kingdom of the heavens will be greater than John the Baptist and now we see in this chapter that the fame of Jesus reached Herod. The fame of Jesus includes his training these 12 disciples to be apostles.

3 For Herod had laid hold on John, and bound him, and put him in prison for Herodias' sake, his brother Philip's wife. 4 For John said unto him, It is not lawful for thee to have her.

So the battle at this time is the same as today, who is Lord, the word of God or king Herod? Today their are many "christians" who think that the Bible is out of date or sexist and so they ignore certain verses and even teach others to ignore them as well. This is an extremely arrogant and proud attitude. As long as you think that your opinion supersedes the Bible then you are not "least in the kingdom of the heavens". In fact you are not "humbled like a small child" and so you can't even enter into the kingdom of the heavens.

5 And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet. 6 But when Herod's birthday was kept, the daughter of Herodias danced before them, and pleased Herod. 7 Whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatsoever she would ask. 8 And she, being before instructed of her mother, said, Give me here John Baptist's head in a charger.

Imagine being at this birthday party. Imagine seeing some little girl who dances so sweetly that the father asks her what she would like as a present and she then asks for this head to be brought out to her on a plate! One minute everyone looks like a nice birthday party and the next they all look like a brood of vipers ready to cut up and devour the saints of God. This is the event revealing the man behind the curtain.

9 And the king was sorry: nevertheless for the oath's sake, and them which sat with him at meat, he commanded it to be given her.

This is the revealing of the man behind the curtain. We can know a lot about a man when we see his family. He is married to this evil woman and the Bible condemns this union. His daughter is clearly fruit of this evil tree and all of his guests are equally blood thirsty, he can't let them down. Why was he sorry? You might think he was the only one in the entire party with a conscience, that might be true? But he was also the one who gave the order to have John executed. He might be sorry that he has gone so far down this broad way that leads to destruction and now he can see that he is standing on the edge of the abyss and will soon be cast down into hell. Or he might be sorry that the curtain is being pulled back and all the people in Israel will know about what a sick and twisted group of people are in charge of this country.

10 And he sent, and beheaded John in the prison. 11 And his head was brought in a charger, and given to the damsel: and she brought it to her mother.

Be advised, just because a girl looks nice, you need to know what she is like on the inside, the last thing you want to do is to get married to this sick and twisted damsel. Take a look at the parents because it is likely that the fruit does not fall far from the tree.
