Do protestants have a reasonable non-Roman-Catholic explanation for John 20:22-23?

Did I take away or add on something to the verse???
(Your mind is such programmed to utter the above.)

I get it….
Brother doesn’t mean brother because the Roman church says so…
Sister doesn’t mean sister because the Roman church said so…
Until is a different until because the Roman church said so…
Although Peter is subservient to James, Peter is in charge because the church says so…
Unlike what the Bible says, it’s okay to forbid people to marry and to abstain from certain foods because the Roman church said so…

Schwew! There’s too many to list.
Next thing you’ll tell us is that praying to idols and statues is a-okay in spite of what the scriptures say.

Jesus must then be a 'door', a 'road, a boulevard', a physical 'lamb', a'bread' because it is what the scripture says.

Sale of indulgence was the evil deeds of a few German dioceses, especially under Archbishop Albert. This was not a universal practice across all Europe.
Those expensive cathedrals didn't build themselves. It still happens today in most of Mexico, Central, and South America. Wake up.

You believe in the 5 solas just because your church says so, in spite of not found in the scriptures.

Do you think those expensive Protestant churches would build themselves?

You're the one who was denying Catholics did it. Clean your own house first.
The Catholic House had been cleaned long time ago.

The Council of Trent (1545-1564) explicitly banned the sale of indulgences and the practice of linking them to any form of payment. Pope Pius V later reinforced this by canceling all grants of indulgences involving fees.

Did you know, as a protestant, you are being laughed at and taunted by the RCC.

They have many afficial documents stating that
....Protestants choose to make the bible their source of all truth and left the mother church but the problem is they do not follow the bible only.

Anyone that worships, or keeps Sunday holy is following a catholic tradition and not the Bible.

Please read the following link.... it is eye opening.

$5 Billion and counting = RCC settlements for child and woman abuse
Rome has been corrupt from the beginning.

Perhaps... but Matthew 12:43-45 applies... in spades.

43 “When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. 44 Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. 45 Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first.

None of the Protestant church or institution has conducted such survey does not mean Protestants' hands are clean and not dirty.

The three companies that insure the majority of Protestant churches in America say they typically receive upward of 260 reports each year of young people under 18 being sexually abused by clergy, church staff, volunteers or congregation members.

Is your defense “all churches do it”? I just want to be clear if that’s what you’re saying.

It is you who say "all churches do it", particularly the Catholic Church.

The reality is bad apples are all around.
Let the figures tell the picture:
Sex-offender-occupation.jpg
Clergy is not the higher category among sex offenders. Watch out for teachers, tutors!

You better look around to see how the real world is like, not living in your imagined world!

So Jesus must have been doing bad jobs in casting out demons.
Keep yourself a very dirty person to scare away demons.

Protestants left the RCC because they wanted to follow the bible only
The RCC had tradition and man made teachings above the Bible and claimed to have changed it by God's permission.

The RCC was proud and hated the way Protestants stood up to it. This is when the Jesuits started up and made it their work to destroy or confuse the protestant movement. They invented the preterist and futurist doctrines to point the world away from the Bible truth.

The truth will set you free.. The RCC will hide the truth.

#398 continue

Modern Protestants think their own interpretation on scripture (claimed to be guided by HOLY SPIRIT) would override the three great reformers: Luther, Calvin and Zwingli.
Scripture says what scripture says. It does not say she remained a virgin. Nor does it say she had sex with Joseph after Jesus birth. What any commentator thinks was the case is mere speculation, surely.
