Ok the BDF and News Forums are making my brain bleed. I want invite our groovy singles to this post, we all know they are the coolest here at CC. ;) With Thanksgiving round the corner, here we go!!

Eliminate One, and tell us why you did. This one is an easy one for me, green bean casserole. Maybe I just haven't had someone good at making it but that's my choice.

Green Bean Casserole MUST have been at the original Thanksgiving feast, complete with the little French's onion rings in a can, so they CAN'T be eliminated.
That "croissant" thingy however, so very un-American.:unsure::unsure::unsure:(y):):giggle::giggle:

I agree !! Do you make your own? Or do you have a certain type you like?
 
A: We're keeping A. What's Thanksgving without a turkey? That's like a car without an engine.

B: We're keeping B. It's delicious and it adds veggies to what is otherwise a sugar and grease fest.

C: We're keeping C. Gotta have pie. My favorite pie is... round.

D: We're keeping D. It's in a croissant form, but a bread roll in any shape. Gotta have it.

Eliminate what you want. More for me. There's plenty of room on my plate. And if I can't eat it all and you refuse to eat it, leftovers are cool. :D

Well, @ThereRoseaLamb did say to include the 'groovy singles', That's 2 strikes against me: 1) I'm not groovy & 2) I'm not single soooo....

Yeah, a croissant vs a roll: either one usually makes our Thanksgiving table (usually Hawaiian rolls by Aldi)

Okay, I knew there was something missing from that picture, a few somethings for sure, but what would Thanksgiving dinner be without stuffing!? :eek:
And WHERE is the cranberry sauce!?
 
I'm much more thankful eating pizza or sushi. A good green bean casserole is to die for, so given the choices, I'll just have that for dinner and dessert. That's the wavy way 😎.

What an awesome thread idea, @ThereRoseaLamb!!

I hope you'll post more of these, and that this inspires others to as well!! :D

I don't qualify as "groovy," but my own mother would probably tell you that I DEFINITELY qualify as "grievous." :LOL:

So... Let's see...

I too have to join with the ranks with those who were shocked to see a croissant in the mix. Who on earth invited the French to our American (USA) Thanksgiving?!!! :oops: Just kidding!

Actually, this totally changes the game for me. If it were just a regular old generic dinner roll, I would have easily picked that as the thing to cast away into the darkness. But alas, if it's a King's Hawaiian sweet roll, or this croissant -- well, that definitely has me pulling out a Reverse Uno card.

Admittedly, I'm a carboholic, so if stuffing and cranberry sauce would have also been featured, I just might have (gasp) thrown out the turkey. But with the choices given...

I'm none too fond of green beans -- my favorite (and only really likable) part of green bean casserole is the crunchy fried onions on top. If a greenie beanie doesn't have that, I'm not interested.

Therefore, I shall be sneaking off with generous portions of the turkey, the pie, the croissants, and... all the crispy onions on the top of the green bean casserole -- leaving behind the green beans.

What can I tell you?

Just had to live up to my reputation of being grievous rather than groovy. :cool:

Lol you crack me up! Definitely have to have the Kings Hawaiian rolls! If you take the onions, I'm good with the beans. Doggone it, I just made my choice harder, now I have to go rethink it.
