There is nothing here that is heretical when it comes to the cathars. Maybe that they believe that the Old Testament God Yahweh is the evil creator of this world and ruler of this world. Which really, if you replace that name with satan, that kind of is the same thing. Also, we don't believe that the evil God and good God are equal in power. We believe that the evil God is the who fell from heaven. We also believe that everything of the material world is both good and evil. That none of it is just good or just evil, and you find that this is true, and I really don't see how anything they believe technically contradicts the words of Jesus, it contradicts proto orthodoxy which is what you are. All I know is that this seems to make the most sense to me and lines up with God's characteristics. If God, is truly holy and pure then he cannot be present in this world or even the creator of this world because it even says in the Old Testament that God cannot be in the presence of evil or even look upon evil. And everything that god does and creates is perfect. That's why we hold to the belief that the divine is found within, not out there in the physical realm. And did I mention I can line all of this up with the words of Jesus.

Jesus clearly prohibits performing oaths, period.
But in Numbers 30:2, Deut. 6:13, and Deut. 10:20-21 Yahweh commanded:
“If a man makes a vow to the Lord, or swears an oath to bind himself by some agreement, he shall not break his word; he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.” (Num. 30:2)
“You shall fear the Lord your God and serve Him, and shall take oaths in His name.” (Deut. 6:13)
You shall fear the Lord your God; you shall serve Him, and to Him you shall hold fast, and take oaths in His name. He is your praise, and He is your God, who has done for you these great and awesome things which your eyes have seen (Deut. 10:20-21).
So Yahweh requires oath taking in God’s name, whereas Jesus says explicitly not to swear at all, and that anything more than yes or no is of “the evil one”?

I’m curious as your take on Peter. If you have an issue with Paul’s teaching, surly you must also be suspect of anything Peter wrote, Such as,
“…Just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him. He writes about these things in all his letters. Some parts of his writings are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.”
