It's starting to make a lot more sense. Apparently, Walters was working for the Freedom Foundation while still working as Oklahoma's school superintendent. He wasn't literally working for them as far as I know, but he was doing their bidding. The Freedom Foundation is funded by wealthy billionaires and their main goal is to put an end to unions.

Below is an excellent article about Walters' tenure as school board superintendent, his resignation and new position as CEO of the Teacher Freedom Alliance. I learned something new that completely blew me away: Lee Greenwood's God Bless the USA Bible, you know, the supposed patriotic Bible the Donald endorses, doesn't even have the 11th-22nd amendments to the Constitution!

How Christian Nationalism Captured Oklahoma Schools
Christian nationalism is an authoritarian mindset because they believe only Christians are supposed to have rights.

Yeah, I know about Wilson. Pete Hegseth has praised him.
yeah I thought I would die of cringe in the first hour of the conversation because Sam was an offering much pushback and then thankfully in the second half, Sam starts turning the screws and applying pressure

Okay, I watched this interview and was pretty shocked at what I learned about Wilson: 1) He's a preterist; 2) He interprets Revelation symbolically; 3) He doesn't believe there will be a rapture; and 4) He's post-millennial and is a dominionist; that is, he believes Christianity has to rule the world for 1,000 years, then Christ will return. Pretty much the same as the NAR teaches.

Point #4 explains why he's a Christian nationalist. I'd call this group a cult; at the very least, Wilson's a false teacher.

Wilson said he doesn't want a government that is "Christian," but one that has Christian morality. Sounds like he wants a government that's Christian and not Christian at the same time.

some people were wondering why Sam even platformed him in the first place but I think what Sam was doing was trying to expose that there are people in America who think like this and it's terrifying

Sam often says sunlight is the best disinfectant which means let this guy show how cuckoo he is so we can see why he's wrong

yeah from what I could gather from that conversation, he doesn't want theocracy, rather he wants people to willingly adopt his cuckoo ideas.
