NASA'S REVOLUTIONARY NEW TECHNOLOGY:

Virtual Reality — a three dimensional, computer generated simulation in which one can navigate around, interact with, and be immersed in another environment
(John Briggs - The Futurist)

Virtual Reality — the use of computer technology to create the effect of an interactive three-dimensional world in which the objects have a sense of spatial presence.
(Steve Bryson - NASA Ames)

The actual term "Virtual Reality" is attributed to Jaron Lanier of VPL in 1986 in a conversation regarding the work of Scott Fisher. Fisher, of NASA Ames, had been referring to the field as "Virtual Environments".

Myron Krueger labeled the activity "Artificial Reality" in 1983, the title of his book, and a year later, William Gibson coined the term "Cyberspace" in his book Neuromancer.

While multi-million dollar military systems have used head-mounted displays in the years since Sutherland's work, the notion of a personal virtual environment system as a general purpose user-computer interface was generally neglected for almost twenty years.

Beginning in 1984, Michael McGreevy created the first of NASA's virtual environment workstations (also known as personal simulators and Virtual Reality systems) for use in human-computer interface research.

With contractors Jim Humphries, Saim Eriskin and Joe Deardon, he designed and built the Virtual Visual Environment Display system (VIVED, pronounced "vivid"), the first low-cost, wide field-of-view, stereo, head-tracked, head-mounted display.Clones of this design, and extensions of it, are still predominant in the VR market.

Next, McGreevy configured the workstation hardware: a Digital Equipment Corporation PDP-11/40 computer, an Evans and Sutherland Picture System 2 with two 19" monitors, a Polhemus head and hand tracker, video cameras, custom video circuitry, and the VIVED system. With Amy Wu, McGreevy wrote the software for NASA's first virtual environment workstation. The first demonstrations of this Virtual Reality system at NASA were conducted by McGreevy in early 1985 for local researchers and managers, as well as visitors from universities, industry, and the military.

Since that time, over two dozen technical contributors at NASA Ames have worked to develop Virtual Reality for applications including planetary terrain exploration, computational fluid dynamics, and space station telerobotics. In October 1987 Scientific American featured VIVED--a minimal system, but one which demonstrated that a cheap immersive system was possible.

how do telescopes work?

with mirrors, right?

why do we need things in space to be so FAR AWAY?

because we need billions and billions of years.

The modelling of the lens system is based on Constructive Solid Geometry. .... Reflective and refractive materials are used for the mirrors and lens, and the others are for the rest of the objects, and to make a real world simulation.

~

Constructive solid geometry (CSG) is a technique used in solid modeling. Constructive solid geometry allows a modeler to create a complex surface or object by using Boolean operators to combine objects. Often CSG presents a model or surface that appears visually complex, but is actually little more than cleverly combined or decombined objects.
In 3D computer graphics and CAD CSG is often used in procedural modeling. CSG can also be performed on polygonal meshes, and may or may not be procedural and/or parametric....

Umm yeahh...... Well john Job wasn't talking to Jesus and before we go in to the trinitarian debate or anything else some matters of Authenticity have to be discussed!

I am still out on a limb when it comes to authenticity and don't use the faith card because as far as I am concerned that is the oldest copout in the book!
I am not asking for proof of God that isn't even on my Agenda!
Authenticity of scripture is and since we have 1.5 billion muslims and 1.5 billion Christians of varying denominations (all of whom claim sole credibility when it comes to scripture) and another 1 billion Jews We all can't be right and I do not believe God is only gonna save the Protestants who have 24000 different sects among their own sect of Christianity and leave everyone else to the wolves! Furthermore when people of my own faith (myself included until recently) condemn other Christians for their belief it leaves one wondering who is right and who is wrong.
Just seen a debate Swaggart vs Deedat on you tube and old Deedat makes very very very many valid points when it comes to scripture and authenticity of Bibles in general that are printed even today!

If you have proof that the KJV is absolutely positively the one true source bring it forth otherwise the Muslims would seem to have the only authoritative Gentilian scripture out there.
At least theirs doesn't claim to authority under any king apostle or otherwise it does give all the Glory to God.
As well why is Jerusalem divided in 4 and not one or three seems a peculiar quandry to me of the highest order!

Stop flitting around. It seems you do not want to read the evidence why the Bible is the ONLY real authority on Earth and why we can trust it. You can keep saying all this nonsense, but until you actually read through my whole article you do not have a leg to stand upon. You can keep up with the rhetoric but it shows you do not really want to know the truth if you cannot be bothered to read my article. Here it is again, please click on this following link:

Ok John I read your article here's the wholes in your theory
1Unity it does not have you claim unity but the book we read today as Protestants is different from the Catholic bible and the EOC version Their are literally 100's of versions in the last 2000 years so your argument for this is non-substantial. The integrity of the Authors as you say, is neither proved nor discredited it is what it is using a mans integrity to bolster a hypothesis of Authenticity is ridiculous and doesn't get to the heart of the matter. You cannot verify their integrity because history is written by the victor end of story! Not to mention The OT is copied from the Torah and even those copies vary from the Torah and other writings.
2The fulfilled prophecies you speak of all come from the interp. of the Torah not the new Testament show me one prophecy from the new Testament that you can verify with your own eyes! Just one!
3The removal of scripture and or changing of words and their are many if the bible we hold to is true then why change it? That is ridiculous My problem with the bible we have today is in itself their are many many passages of incest would you read this to your daughter? Why would God teach us about Lot and his incestuous relationship with his daughters? To prove a point? Come on! That isn't the only one either! Why would God teach us these things and then justify it because by saying silly girls were decieved into thinking their were no men left in the earth? Ridiculous!
It is contrary to Deuteronomical teachings totally so why is it in there?
4 Jesus resurrection; God can resurrect anyone and will at judgment day no mystery there! Thing is as I have shown in another thread the deity of Jesus is in question when it comes to saying it as such!
Why did Jesus never plainly say I am God incarnate? Not once did he say it sure it may have been implied but implications always have more than 1 meaning
The following scriptures from the KJV all prove this.
Hebrews 1 whole chapter
John 14:28
Hebrews 2:5-18
Hebrews 7:15-17&26
Hebrews 8:1
Hebrews 10:12-21
1 Peter 3:22
Collosians1:13-16
Romans 1:1-9
Matthew 17:5
1John2:21-22
John 20:17
John 17:3
1 Timothy 2:5
Phillipians 2:7
2 Corinthians 5:21
Ephesians 1:3
John 5:26-27
John 1:18
John 1:34

Everyone of this passages support the Jesus as the Son of God theory but do not support the Jesus as God incarnate theory and if I hadn't had a revelation of my own to study the passages intently I would never have been aware of their existence.
Don't give me the whole Greek exegete baloney story either Translations may lose some of their prowess from one language to another but the message should be the same in either language and it's not.
Show one piece of scripture from the KJV that Jesus openly admits of his deity, HIS deity not the Holy spirit within him. Especially at the temple when he says "one greater than him is among you now"
Was Jesus referring to himself or the Holy spirit within him at that time?
I have no doubt Jesus was resurrected after 3 days none at all. Doesn't prove he is God himself it proves that God resurrected him!
The early church fathers went to great lengths to not directly say Jesus is God incarnate yet hint at his deity after his ascension especially why is that?
The above scriptures I quoted all refer to Jesus's subordination to God every single one of em!
He who sits on the right hand of the father is the common theme. So tell me how can you sit on the right hand of God if you are God himself?
There are those who would say "oh that's the greek exegete it really means the fathers right hand"
Baloney then why write it that way in english? To confound people? Ridiculous!

My search for the true Jesus began sometime ago and I WILL NOT STOP UNTIL I GET A SATISFACTORY ANSWER TO MY QUESTIONS BE IT FROM GOD HIMSELF!
Here's my conundrum if I pray to Jesus as God and am wrong when I die I will be going to hell for my Idolatry! If I pray to God alone It corroberates with all 3 monotheistic religions and feels much more secure than having an intercessor between me and God!
LET'S GET ONE THING STRAIGHT I DO NOT WANT TO GO TO HELL FOR IDOLATRY one common theme shared by all three religions is Idolatry is a NO NO! 1st commandment in any of the big 3
So I am making damn sure of who I am praying to and that I am correct in my assertions of deity before I continue with my spiritual walk if I hadn't have noticed these conundrums in scripture I wouldn't be here trying to ascertain what is right and what is wrong with my learned colleagues of faith THAT'S WHY I am HERE!

As yet There have only been three to four people I have talked to on this site who would seem to have the knowledge and convictions of faith to help me ascertain correctness. I will thank them at the bottom of this post!

This is a formal Thankyou to all those who have helped me in my spiritual struggle of understanding.
I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all your hard work and patience with me!

QUESTION:

Is space made up of something?
a short answer would be to say that space is made up of space

space is a fundamental entity...it is not made up of anything else such as matter or energy

I really wish some atheists would chime in on this discussion.

tO WHAT END ZERO?

I can see some getting very upset that their dichotomy is spurned.

The problem here is one of belief!

If we refute all findings in the last 500 years then we must accept another substitute!
If we accept the findings of the last 500 years then we say we believe what we are told is truth!

Problem is if so many in the past as today hadn't used assumptions to base their theories on we probably wouldn't be here right now in the debate we are in!

I find it very illogical to dispute all Modern science has given us yet at the same time it has also given us many evil things too.

I am not sure if atheists would help the process of acceptance in either argument!

The whole geocentricist argument seems to me to be without credibility and relies on belief of scripture rather than imperical data. At the same time any data can be corrupted by those with an agenda to further their goals which is also very apparent to see in our modern world!

Flip a coin I guess!

a short answer would be to say that space is made up of space

space is a fundamental entity...it is not made up of anything else such as matter or energy
not good enough.
what is IN SPACE?

is there anything IN SPACE?

anything at all?

paritcles, matter, stuff? ANYTHING?

WHAT IS A fundamental entity?

if you are talking about outer space...there are scattered atoms and stuff like that...but so few of them that it is -almost- a perfect vacuum

if you are talking about 'space' as a fundamental thing...then think about it this way... if you were to remove everything from a jar...every single atom...making a perfect vacuum...then would the inside of the jar cease to exist?

no...because the space inside the jar...even empty space...is a 'something'

what'S A PERFECT VACUUM?

WHAT IS missing THAT MAKES something a perfect vacuum?

i don't want theoretical jargon.

IS SPACE MADE UP OF ANYTHING? YES OR NO
