f you check with Paul he states the only change to the New Covenant is with the promises, every thing else remained the same, The Torah is and will always be the Law but now it is also spiritual. remember in Matthew 5, 6 Christ said it you hate in your mind you have committed sin. It was physical and now it is both Physical and spiritual.
No, don't think so. By Jesus becoming the High Priest, of necessity, the law He was the High Priest of also had to be changed, otherwise, there would have been no need to change from the Levitical priesthood (as there already priest who ministered to its law), to the priesthood of the order of Melchisedec - the priesthood of Jesus.
The HOLY LAW of God will always BE, God does not change.
The misunderstanding is caused by Paul, Christ is clear
No, don't think so. We are clearly informed that the law was changed. Observe:
[Heb 7:18-19, 22, 25 KJV]
18 F
or there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
19
For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope [did]; by the which we draw nigh unto God. ...
22
By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament. ...
25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
[Heb 8:4-6 KJV]
4 For if h
e were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:
5 Who serve
unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for,
See, saith he, [that] thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
6 But now hath
he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
[Heb 9:11-12, 14-15, 28 KJV]
11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption [for us]. ...
14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
15
And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death,
for the redemption of the transgressions [that were] under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. ...
28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
[Heb 10:1, 10, 14, 16-18, 21 KJV]
1
For the law having a shadow of good things to come, [and] not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. ...
10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once [for all]. ...
14
For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. ...
16 This [is] the covenant that
I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord,
I will put my laws into their hearts, and
in their minds will I write them;
17
And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
18
Now where remission of these [is, there is] no more offering for sin. ...
21 And [having] an high priest over the house of God;
Right, Jesus perfectly fulfilled the law. It is through Him that the keeping of it no longer falls upon us. When we became saved, Jesus's fulfillment of it was fully imputed to us, so by Him, they cannot be broken since they were all judicially satisfied on our behalf. From judicial/judgment standpoint, we are no longer under law; not so for the unsaved. However, as a practical matter, and not a judicial one, God will chastise His children that do not live in a God glorifying manner, and that chastisement is to be avoided at all costs because it is most unpleasant
