Luke 6:46 “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ (believers) and not do the things which I say? 47 Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: 48 He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was [j]founded on the rock. 49 But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it [k]fell. And the ruin of that house was great.”

Believing in Jesus is more than just I believe in Him, it is submitting to His will.

Psa 40:8 I delight to do Your will, O my God,
And Your law is within my heart.”

Jesus lived to be our example to follow 1John2:6 1 Peter 2:21-22 Heb4:15 and taught us, not "just" Jews on how to live- why he said "whoever" hears "My sayings" and does them, which is what He taught. He died to take the penalty of our sins. If we are in Him, we would be living as He did through the power of His Spirit John14:15-18 John15:10 1John2:6

We we need the faith of Jesus, not just the faith in Him.

Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

The righteousness required by the 4th commandment is fulfilled when we cease from works of the flesh and have faith that God is the one sanctifying us, rather than our works doing so, for that was the whole purpose of weekly sabbaths. The inward witness of the holy spirit is now the sign that God is sanctifying us.

Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them. Ezekiel 20:12

Revelation is about the creation of the new heaven and earth. The earth must be cleansed of wickedness before the new is established. That will not happen gradually or progressively, but with a hammer, and in the scale of time, quickly.
Can you give me an outline of the book of Revelation?

1) Vision of the ascended Christ and messages to the 7 churches
2) Christ receives the kingdom and dominion from the father and glory from creation as prophesied in Daniel 7:13-14
3) Christ opens the 7-sealed scroll revealing God's plan for creating the new heavens and earth
4) The first 6 trumpets announce Christ's imminent return
5) The 7th trumpet announces Christ's return and the resurrection of his holy nation
6) The 7 bowls of wrath are poured out upon the wicked on earth
7) Christ and his holy nation return to earth and rule the nations for 1000 years
8) Final rebellion with battle of Gog and Magog
9) 2nd resurrection and final judgment

Do you believe there is a connection between the book of Revelation and the book of Deuteronomy?

very good! I agree in general
One clarification , Christ meets His resurrected Bride and those prepared to rule with Him, in the Clouds and returns to Rule,

People are confusing the consequence of sin- the wages of sin is death- which is breaking the Ten Commandments 1John3:4 James2:11 Mat5:19-30 Rom7:7 and why called the 'ministry of death" because its a sin that leads to death when breaking. Rom6:23 if not ministering from God's Spirit. The law of God is not the issue, they are holy, just and good Rom7:12, they just reveal sin when breaking, the issue is the weak flesh of men, who are not allowing the ministry of the Spirit to help us keep the commandments of God John14:15-18 and overcome sin.

people are refusing to admit that the scripture itself calls the Law a ministry of death.

the issue is not whether the Law is good, nor whether the believer acts righteously and eschews sin. the issue is whether the believer is under the law - - no, they are not.

Comment:

As I have not been involved with main stream Christianity, I did not understand, until I came to this site, that there were two "camps", and that the majority follow Paul, a man and Not Christ our God.

no; there are people who reject the gospel, and people who do not. people whose trust is in themselves, and people whose trust is in Christ.

no one here 'follows Paul' because they believe the gospel.

what histosy of the church church would that be? the church of your denomination?

the church, period.

anyone is foolish to speak about what they are ignorant of, and more foolish to refuse to learn when they know that they are ignorant.

strawman.

at issue is not whether believers go about willfully sinning.

at issue is whether we are under the Law or whether our works effect our salvation.

Scripture is super clear about this: we are saved by belief, and are not under the Law. no one is justified by their works.

It’s a matter of correctly understanding the Biblical definitions for both of these. I can provide Scripture that explains it clearly, but it may not be want you want to hear.

Sin is breaking the law of God 1John3:4 James2:11 Rom7:7

Being under the law means not being under the condemnation of the law Rom3:19, the wages of sin is death Rom6:23, not ignoring what our Lord and Savior said plainly, if you love Me, keep My commandments. John14:15

We are not saved by our works our works demonstrate if your faith is genuine of not, why we are judged by them. 2Cor5:10 James2:11 Ecc12:13-14 we are saved by grace because all has sin, but our salvation is through faith, I do not believe faith leads a believer to not hear His sayings and not do them, at least thats what Jesus indicated. Mat7:21-23 Luke6:46-49

John 11:25-26
I AM the resurrection and the life.
He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.
And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.
Do you believe this?

no one needs you to create your own private definitions of words and pollute the discussion with them.

Scripture is very clear.

Deuteronomy, like all scripture, is an incredibly complex portrayal of Christ. it is about Him; it is testimony of Him.
Sure. But God clearly initiates a covenant with Israel in the book. He does so complete with a preamble, historical prologue, stipulations, sanctions, and succession arrangements.

Israel failed to uphold the terms of the agreement. Where does God sanction Israel for their failure to keep the covenant?

I didn’t I provided clear Scriptures.

When does a believer not do what God says? This is not what I believe Jesus had in mind and even said many will say Lord Lord (believers) will not enter into His Kingdom, so its a deeper meaning that Jesus is speaking of, one that hears Him, follows Him and does what He says.

He plainly says not doing what He says is rebellion, sin and unbelief Heb3:7-19

I wish you the best but this is not a fruitful dicussion so I am going to agree to disagree.

God bless.

The covenant of cursings and blessings made in Moab occurred in Deuteronomy 29:1, but that's the only one
The whole book is the covenant:

Preamble...1:1-5
Historical Prologue...1:6-4:49
Ethical Stipulations...5:1-26:19
Sanctions...27:1-30:20
Succession Arrangements...31:1-34:12
