What's the big deal of Noah's nakedness and Ham finding him out? Does his nakedness has something to do with Adam and Eve's nakedness? Is there a parallelism between their nakedness? I think their nakedness has to do with shame. God was supposed to make a new beginning with Noah and here he is drunk and naked. What about Noah cursing Canaan? Does it have to do with God's plan of giving the land of Canaan to His people and the Canaanites must be destroyed/must suffer?

Leviticus 18:

7 The “nakedness” of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she [is] thy mother; -- thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

The Torah states we are not to have sex with our father or our mother.

8 The nakedness of thy father's -- wife -- shalt thou not uncover:

the wife it [is] thy father's “nakedness

Ham Uncovered his father's "nakedness" i.e. his mother --he raped her.

Ham has sex with his mother to increase his one third position to one half of the world, by a son coming from his mother.

He then castrated his father so he could not produce any more sons and bragged to his brothers.

Noah lived 400 more years with no sons born to him.

24 And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.
Noah cursed the son born from Ham's rape.

Interesting take from the "Cliff notes"
I do not see scripture on castration then, I do not see, he raped his Mother and had a child, not literally stated.
Yet it can be construed that way, yes, it can be
Another ? I have when I am placed in heaven after physical death for sure. For now I reckon me dead as in Romans 6:1-12, Acts 17:28
The Nephilim did carry on after the flood as said in Genesis 6. I can conjecture it might have been through the women of the three kids that were the Noah's children's wife's then. Might have been of the Nephilim. So it might be in the DNA, as There were Giants in those days, even after the flood , not so much today! has dwindled down a lot since.
I think you have a good conjecture, me staying careful not to conjecture things out too much and make any other doctrine out of the "Cliff Notes" written in the bible other than the burial, death and resurrection of Son Jesus for us to be new in Father's Spirit and Truth John 4:23-24

I heard this from a Rabbi. this is what was passed down verbally and it made sense, why curse a son and not Ham? and it states Canaan is Ham's son, why insert that?

And why no more children from Noah?

These are good questions, most of which I can't answer.

The way I saw it, Ham was being disrespectful because Noah is his father. It's something you shouldn't do to your parents. But that's all I got out of it. There are other people who can tell you more.

Cool, however over time one might see
If I make the above truth, then I am headed down a dead end and might swallow a camel over truth. so as I said good conjecture. please be aware to have no other people lead you but God himself 1 John 2:27 Phil 3
Noah, first government started
Abraham Promise began
Moses Law instituted
Jesus Christ fulfilled I tall for us all to be the new Hebrews 7:11-12 in love and mercy to all for us all to choose that too or be a religious zealot only and conjecture whatever we want from Scripture cliff notes, getting followers under us instead of the risen Son for us to Father loving us as in Jeremiah 29:11
Hebrews 10:10 God love us all in the present day after all the mistakes we see in the first Testament known as the Old Testament now as well as ourselves also

Whatever the situation, it is obviously worse than the text indicates. There is something that we do not understand in our culture today. One school of thought is that Ham took advantage of Noah's state to sleep with Noah's wife. There was no prohibition in incest at that time.

I recall the incident when Solomon's sibling, Adonijah, wanted David's last concubine. Solomon rightly saw this as a power play to usurp his throne. it may be that Ham was trying to improve his status since he was the youngest son. Noah overturned this completely by declaring that Canaan would be Israel's servant.

I agree with most of this… all except the castration.

For the rest, we see a similar attempt by Reuben when he slept with one of Jacob’s wives.

I hope everyone knows there were no bath rooms and no showers in Noah's day

if anyone thinks that Noah and all of his sons did not seen each other naked every day has not lived in the country. they washed themselves in creeks and lakes and peed right where they were when that time came --- for Ham to see his father naked --- was something that was normal.

it was common for men in those days to work naked, even in Christ's day

7Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt [his] fisher's coat [unto him], (for he was naked, ) and did cast himself into the sea.

I have lived near or in the "woods' most of my life -- I urinated out side 95% of the time as did all my male relatives and still do.

I was not a queer act nor simply seeing his father naked.

I never talked about Noah's nakedness. Please read posts more carefully.

I was talking about Ham's disrespect toward his father, Noah.
