Yeah it's possible and if the other person starts developing 'feelings', then just kick em in the shins.

Oh that's a fantastic plan! A drop kick would do the trick I think. :)

:) I am. I can't do or be anything worthwhile without him. God called me to give up everything, friends included, and follow Him. And after each thing I gave up to Him, He showed me that His grace was enough for me for power is perfected in weakness.
I'm totally getting off-topic now but...God is amazing! I just hope that my life can be used to show that. :D
----
It can IF you follow Him, Catty?

Or, let me delete that because it's NOT right rather. It WILL (show that) IF you follow Him :)

Possible yes would I do it....no. Because sometimes someone is stringing someone on. Sometimes you loose. SOMETIMES you don't like the outcome, its not healthy mentally. It happens to too many people. A friend changes your tire when its raining.....but your thinking i hope he hurries up I have to get to that date...true story I saw a guy do for a girl. Sad. yes I have fallen into the friend trap as well.

I find it easier to be friends with a girl that I'm not attracted to.

most of my good friends are female so its definately possible but often when you have a friend of the opposite sex you tend to regard them more as a brother/sister so it may make it a bit awkward for that relationship to develop into somethng else later on

I guess....

I will let the Lord lead my life, and, at 43 it may appear I'm too weird or just gay cuz I'm not married and also I've hardly dated, and, never seerious, but , as I was saying before I so rudely interrupted myself :D , I want to get to know a girl slowly and just do things as friends and see each others' actions/reactions in very casual settings and NEVER taking her to my place or going to her place until DUAL confidence is THERE that the power of God is inside us both, especialky me, but I am Christian and love God and want to follow Him but my girl friend woukd be thought of eventually-as friendship developed relationship-as serious fiance potential.

Anyway , any way God does things regarding finding a girl friend would be great and I am wanting a girl friend, knowing that I had 4 close friends from age 6 to 16 and did things with them all , just having fine, being boys , being friends. The friend I met at age 6 I am still friends with and he has had a wife of 16 years now and they have a boy they adopted when he was 2 and then had a 2nd boy, a couple years later.

Maybe more information than you wanted, but that's it, my friends growing up show me -from God-how great that a girl friend may some day be for me. :)

Sorry to cut off so much of what you said GreenNnice (and thus interrupt what you were saying for a second time :D), but the main point I wanted to address is the fact that personally I know that not dating and not being creepy doesn't mean that you guys are gay or anything. I'm sure you know this already Green; I guess I'm saying it more to the younger guys who have to listen to all the locker room chatter (:() and might be wondering if the girls will know that they're completely straight and are just behaving themselves because....well, actually, there are a lot of reasons to wait until you're married to do anything sexual, but hopefully the main one for each of us is because it's what God wants us to do (largely to protect us from a host of problems, as we've discussed in previous threads). Anyway, I know it's not totally related to this thread, but I just wanted you guys who are waiting for your wives (just like the girls who are following Jesus are waiting for you :)) to know that I think it's great, and I know that it's hard. You all have a special place in my heart (hugs all the nice guys, whether they've always been waiting or started to as soon as they realized how important it is :)).

It is possible and healthy. It's God's design that we be in relationship with each other. Certainly some were called to singlehood just as some were called to marriage. We were created in God's image, male and female. Our job is to reflect his image whether married or single. It's difficult because of sin. We should strive for healthy relatioships with the opposite sex.

Funny, yeah, right, jilly, very well said, mmmmphhh, it was quite a mouthful as you can now see. I hope and pray too that those that think they should be married should really think again. They (you, me, everybody) should be God's. :)

He will lead your life greatly if you SHUN , REBUKE (Here, CanNZ, if you read this, is where YOU can do the 'r' word you said you would do to a guy not going to church :) ) the DEVIL and the deeds he wants you to do for DIRT CHEAP (Hey, that sounds like a line, almost from a song about dirty laundry ;) ) .

Follow God as he leads you, and, he will, it will be for His glory, and, a VERY high percent of the time it will include church and singles groups attendance, not always, keep in mind, because EACH of our lives on Earth are INDIVIDUAL BLESSINGS from God to be carried out as prayer and listening and faith will show (step) you.

Amen, jilly ! You're a good spokesperson, your middle name is not 'Erin' is it ;)

Jordache , too, YES! some are called to singleness for a portion of their life. Still others, it can be a lifelong blessing.

Everything we get from God should be a blessing . God is ALL our best friend, the only one who will NEVER let you down, and, by that greenism.I mean THIS scripture in

This is powerful stuff from OUR God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit .

So.whatever you do do IT for the glory of God in your life.

Catty, too, to clarify, when I say in earlier post that 'It will show that' It=your life :). And, yes, you are doing that, as I read your another-thread teztimony of leaving beau you loved but he (as I understood it) did not want to switch to a life of Christ. :( But, that just means God has SOMETHING much better out there for you , Catty. Someone maybe too, just Follow Him, the Lord leads :)

Ok, and, Hey, GREEN, you never gave us that scripture verse relative to your greenism 'God is the only one who will never let you down.'

Hebrews 13:5: I (God) will never leave you or forsake you.

T'aint that AWESOME ! Not only will God never leave you but He will never forsake you either.

In a Rachel Ray ism I will leave you: How awesome is that :D
