So I’ve needed to vent or relieve this feeling. I’ve realized in the last few years I’ve become super reclusive, now I really don’t think I’d have it any other way honestly. It’s by choice. I’m outgoing by personality. In terms of talking and such. I just prefer my own peace and my own company. I am not lonely or depressed by myself. If anything quite the opposite. What’s come to my attention though is the loneliness I feel from not knowing or having anyone who understands my faith or my quiet chosen life. My previous partners haven’t really understood me deeply at all. So this is what brings me loneliness. I’ve never been able to find a partner that shares faith and common goals or lifestyles. I don’t have social media, Facebook, instagram or such. I don’t drink. I avoid all events even with any form of alcohol. No drugs. I go to the gym and work and take care of my daughter. That is my life and I’m happy. I feel alone in my thoughts. And was wondering if I’m the only one who shares this type of loneliness? Again this is not a form of loneliness stemming from not being social enough. I love my own peace and space. However that is a lot of growth that came from avoiding toxic situations and toxic satanic ways. Is there anyone out there? That’s been through this and seen the light and came out of that dark tunnel?

Many people these days tend to feel alone in their thoughts, beliefs, or opinions. It seems to be part of our modern culture. If you haven't already, maybe try diving into studying The Fruits of The Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22), you might re-discover other feelings of love, more of God's love, or gain ideas for new perspectives of self improvement (God is never finished with us and we grow from His Word). You could explore real bible studies on The Fruits of The Spirit, devotionals, or other bible verses of cross-references. Anything about The Fruits of The Holy Spirit can draw us closer to God's nature and help us gain self-awareness for more of God's nature to become our nature.

This below is a combination of translations I put together myself for personal use, but I don't mind sharing it here. It's based off of the translations viewable at the "Bible Hub" website. I often ponder deeply over the various meanings and interpretations of each translation and the words used, I like observing words as a bit of my own way of doing mini bible studies....

Galatians 5:22
"The spiritual nature of The Holy Spirit, produces this kind of fruit in our lives, also known as the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us], is…. Love, lovingness, an unselfish concern for others, joy, joy of the Lord, peace, inner peace, patience, patience of not just the ability to wait but how we act while waiting, patience towards others, benevolence, forbearance, longsuffering, gentleness, kindness, goodness, faith, faithfulness, the nature of the spirit brings a harvest of love"

I hope God's love finds a way to help you feel encouraged. :)

I can relate to your OP. When I joined in 2014 my introductory thread was called Quite Lonely. A month later I met my future wife on this site who is also a member, and through this site we married later in the year.

We both shared the same faith in the salvation of the Lord from his dying on the cross for our sins. She is my best friend and has been a tremendous blessing for me.

It is great to leave work knowing that there is my loving and faithful wife waiting for me at home. I was alone in my thoughts too but now I have a wonderful spiritual woman to share them with, and she shares her thoughts with me too.

I pray that God meets this need in your life. God has stated in the beginning that it is not good to be alone.

I have had quite the journey with my traveling companion in life. Many such journeys are possible by the grace of God. May your journey prove to be fruitful and eventful as well.

Safe Passage.

Thankyou tourist!!! I needed this for inspirational and hope. I may be a man but I shed tears at this. I’m so happy for you. It’s nice knowing you found a great partner in your life. I’ve long for a great spiritual partner too. Many times I’ve focused on the wrong things . I know now looks and certain other worldly things just don’t matter. The spirit of a god fearing woman is what matters. Thanks for your wishes and story.

That's kind of cool that someone found their true love here.

In terms of lonliness I think many singles feel that way and find solace and comfort (if they are christian) in God.
if you are not really Christian you just go out to a club and dance along to ABBA and sing sad songs like 'Is there a man out there, someone to hear my prayer? Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight!"

I don't know if God really answers that prayer but for a woman it often happens because she IS putting herself out there for men to find. Thats the whole point of dancing.

But in some churches, dancing is a sin! Bad sin! Like the worst thing you can do. No dancing in church.

The only time God held a disco was in Judges 21:21-23 look it up
I find it hilarious that churches do not do this. Instead you are supposed to find someone at a rock concert megachurch! Where the only dancing you do is waving your hands around with closed eyes in worship because that's what everyone else does. ?!

The group ABBA has been a fave of mind for years. Yeah, no dancing in church. Having fun is apparently wrong in some churches.

(Ooh, ooh) ooh, you can dance, you can jive,
Having the time of your life.
Ooh-ooh, ooh, see that girl, watch that scene,

Digging the dancing queen.

You could go on a church picnic...? They are always fun and games...for the children.

@tourist just wondering if you'd ever seen ABBA, live, or maybe the group Bjorn Again?

Bjorn Again touring and in my country, and I thought, hmm might be fun to go to, but when I looked it up the tickets were sold out.
I have seen Mamma Mia the musical, live on stage.

I always thought their songs were a bit sad, mostly about lost love, and then finding love again. ABBA peaked before I was born.
I also liked that in the Bible, God wanted to be called Abba, which means Father.

Bjorn Again--Born Again

Clever play on words. Love it.
oh but the flares...I don't know if I can handle seeing their outfits for real. It was bad enough when Lady Gaga turned up in a meat dress. (didn't it smell?) but yea the guys wearing flares and jumpsuits in platforms lol

I like the cat tshirt dresses though that the girls wore.
Nobody here an ABBA fan? Just me and Tourist?

Ok thank you for the music...In church it's either choir robes or hipster rock band clothing. Nothing in between.
