What you posted is NOT philosophy.

It is an incorrect understanding of the non-calvinist side.
Can you be more specific?
There's so much INCORRECT in your post that I would have no time to address it even if I wanted to.
Can you be specific? What is the problem?
It's always good to know what the other side believes in a war.

You do NOT know what the other side believes.
So you say. And yet . . .

I was also questioning the concept drawn from 1Cor11:30. Some, and I'm not saying I do, do not see sleep/death as discipline of His wayward child, but of a child who has had enough and walks away.

Then maybe you should ask those who think it a result of abandoning the faith, "what are they doing at the Lord's Supper?"

I think Paul says "when you come together" enough times for us to get the picture. ;) :)

Care to share your reasons?

Why do you say that?
Because your 3rd reason is exactly the football game scenario I posted a week before you decided to explain this mysterious 3rd reason.

It's nothing new.

Again....
The 3rd reason,,,which does not exist...
is synergism.
It's libertarian free will.

Man makes free will choices.
God uses them.

Nothing new.

As to reaping....
we all reap what we sow.

Believers who walk in the Spirit?
And keep feeding upon the accurate teaching of Truth that God keeps providing them?
They do not reap what they sow.
Those ones will reap what God sows for them, in blessings, and in edification, in a manner they could not have imagined.

Its not a matter of following rules and regulations "faithfully."
It is being led into a transformation that the Spirit brings about that causes one to walk as God desires.

I was also questioning why God may discipline some to death and allow others to walk away. I know the answer 'He doesn't' - and the attachment to the sin unto death, but I'm questioning whatever may or may not make sense to me for whatever reasons.

Because when a believer turns and walks away.. habitually... he begins to take on the nature of the fallen angels.
His death sends a signal to the invisible enemies of God that they shall not escape judgement.

As for the believer who dies the sin onto death?
He will suffer loss of everlasting rewards.
Not salvation.

Those who are in Christ Jesus/those who believe in the name of the Son of God. ✝️
It seems his question went over your head.

The question is how do you know the pronouns apply to you personally?

You simply replied with the same two pronouns, "those" and "who".

I will make it easy for you.

How does someone know (beyond the shadow of a doubt) that they are at the same station in life as those who Paul & John are speaking about?

How???

Feelings.
Esoteric Knowledge.
Presumption.
Church Proclamation.

I have read much of this back and forward and understand your frustration.

Your efforts are not in vain nor without reward.

Sorry, I ignored your football analogy because it didn't make any sense to me.

How can we know that we are saved?

Feelings?
Presumption?
Esoteric Knowledge?
Church Proclamation?

How can we know our fate?
Peter, Paul, and James answer that question. God tests our faith and if we endure, then we know it won't ever fail.

Romans 5:1-5
James 1:2-4
1 Peter 1:6-7

In short, we rejoice in our sufferings because the tests of our faith prove it to be resilient.

I've read some of the thinking..

Romans 8:16 - The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.

LOL
HOW do you know NOW that you're going to endure till the end?

You need a rest Roger.
All the interaction with ME has you stressed out.

One particular member here might need a hobby.
I think Ive been that hobby for a few days now.
No problem.
I usually post for those reading along anyway,
but, yes, at times it is frustrating.
Thaniks...your words are very encouraging.

Summary of Thieme's teaching.

Not all agree with attaching 1Cor11:30 to 1John5:16-17.

When things like this come up, I go back and look at them in Scripture and at times in the systems.
