Hello! Peace!
Can you help me clear up this doubt?

Can people in heretical churches not be saved? Since they believe in heresies, but genuinely think in their hearts that they please God, that is at least their intention. Therefore, they will not be saved? This confuses me a lot, because I put myself in the place of these "lay" people and think that I could not be saved for being in heresy or in sects.

It’s a personal preference, but I dislike negative questions (“Can they not…”) because they can’t be answered clearly with a simple Yes or No.

I would not classify the entire group of people together. We don’t believe in Jesus “corporately”; we believe individually and will be judged individually. In the same way people who attend “churches” where heresy is taught may or may not accept and believe the specific heresy.

Generally, if someone believes in a heresy, it is unlikely that person is actually saved.

However, God is merciful, and until someone dies I would not conclude that they “can’t” be saved. It would require rejection the heresy and embracing the truth.

Those who teach will answer to a higher standard, but if you have a Bible you can read, you are responsible to the truth within it. Therefore, you are without excuse.

Pray for those in heretical groups. Most are simply deceived.

A person who belongs to God is given His Holy Spirit who leads the person always to God’s truth and helps them to accept and live by it.

A person who believes heresy and who has hardened their heart against God’s truth and whom God knows will never be open to His truth, doesn't belong to Him, no matter how nice they are or well intentioned.. He doesn’t give His Holy Spirit to these people because they're not going to honor His leading them.

It depends really because think of the salem witch trials these people murdered so called witches in the name of God and they were certainly not saved because they had no love in them.
one can be ignorant and believe a heresy not knowing it is one but if they have been taught the truth yet still believe and follow heresy then no they are not saved now can they be savesd yes but only if they are willing to recieve it

How do you know what they genuinely think? Surely some go to church knowing they are not believers. They may be what is known as pew warmers, cultural Christians, people pleasers (codependent), etc. There were probably more of these types in the past, when not being a church-going member could seriously jeopardize how you were viewed within the greater society, putting your life and livelihood at risk. Now there is much more freedom in that regard. People also go to church as seekers. There are churches set up for this specific purpose, and more mainline evangelical Christians often condemn them because it is claimed seeker-friendly churches do not preach the full gospel message, yet they do keep the Word of God in front of people, which helps them become familiar with at least some of what is in the Bible. Faith comes by hearing... and it is God Who opens people's ears to hear. This gets contested also, as some will claim everyone hears even though that directly contradicts what Jesus said. I would say that being part of a heretical church is not a sure marker of not being born again.

They can be saved - the initial move is always with God to bring conviction of sin (not conviction of wrong belief).

The problem with anyone with a wrong belief structure (whether in the world or in a 'God' group) is that they can stay stubborn to what they believe and won't accept what God starts to do in their lives. But, yes, they can be 'saved'.

You will probably go on to ask about the 'blasphemy against the Holy Spirit' so let me answer before you do - that was directed at the legalistic Pharisees who saw clearly that the power of God was moving through Jesus in healing but who labelled it 'satan' because they would not accept it.

Simply, the 'sin' was/is to see the power of God moving according to your own criteria but to label it satanic because you don't want to believe. NOT misunderstanding or labelling something incorrectly because you couldn't realise.

Most christians practice some heresy. Take Christmas for example, a very pagan day
God is not interested in what you celebrated -----God is interested in where your heart lies ----with the pagans or with His Son ==Jesus ----without Jesus as your Lord and Saviour your not getting into Heaven ==Period ----

The Minister's in the pulpit are Claiming they are Christians ---but 90% of them are under Satan's rule ---spreading False doctrine ----and sending their Flocks to Hell all the while Smiling while they are teaching False Doctrine ---Twisting the scripture to suit their own agenda ----

Many are still preaching the Law ---do good get good -----serve your neighbour ---serve in the soup kitchen ---come to Church every Sunday ---sing in the quire ----and your in Heaven ---
Do bad and you won't get into heaven -----

Many preach God is love and would never send anyone to a Hell ----

Jesus is the way ---to heaven -----and He is the only way ------

90% under Satan's rule? That's a bold claim. Do you have any evidence to back that up?

God judges people by what is in their hearts, not doctrinal purity. If He were to judge by doctrinal purity, I doubt any Christians, past or present, would be safe.

You raise an interesting question that is not answered in Scripture: Can souls merit heaven without accepting Christ’s atonement because of a a psychological excuse (such as being abused as a child by an unloving “Christian” father)? The fact they did not believe the Gospel of Jesus (assuming they had the opportunity) would make them evil for rejecting the only One who is good (Matt. 19:17), the source and Spirit of good, and its Rationale. However, only God knows whether people can be so mentally ill or psychologically damaged that they do not have sufficient MFW or conscience to repent.

Do you have any evidence to back that up?
Go to different churches and listen to the pastors preach ----that the back up ----

Anyone can be a minister today ----they are giving out Ministry licenses on line for goodness sake -----you don't have to have the Holy Spirit to become a Minister ----

God is to call you to His Ministry -----not yourself ----and without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit ---no man can

Based on recent studies and public discourse, there is significant concern that a large number of modern Christian pastors and ministers do not hold a biblical view, which many equate to not being "born again" or spiritually transformed.

Key Findings and Statistics

Lack of Biblical view:
A study found that only 37% of Christian pastors have a biblical view, with many holding a "hybrid" Bible view that blends secular ideas with scripture.

Low Percentage in Key Roles: Studies indicate that only 13% of teaching pastors and 12% of youth pastors hold a firm biblical view.

Compromised Theology: Many pastors are criticized for watering down the gospel, avoiding topics like repentance and sin, and prioritizing messages about personal happiness over biblical doctrine.

Reasons Cited for the Crisis

Syncretism:
Many church leaders are accused of blending, or "syncretizing," secular views with Christian doctrines regarding issues like marriage, gender, and the sanctity of life.

Lack of Spiritual Transformation: Some leaders are described as focusing on outward duty rather than inward spiritual rebirth, leading to a lack of genuine transformation.

Cultural Pressure: There is a stated shift in churches towards becoming more "relevant and relational" in response to cultural changes, which comes at the expense of traditional theological foundations.
Some observers and specific ministry leaders have expressed the harsh opinion that many modern pastors are "more connected to the world than to God" or even "satanic" in their focus on status and wealth.

What is the dominant religion of pastors filling pulpits of “Christian” churches across the US? A new study from the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University found that a staggering 62% of pastors don’t have a biblical worldview. Instead, they have a worldview of syncretism—in other words, a little bit of this and a little bit of that, mixed together with Christianity.

Rather than building their thinking on God’s Word, the majority of pastors are basing their beliefs on “personal preferences.”

If pastors don’t possess a biblical worldview, they cannot pass it along, and individuals and families suffer from the lack of biblical shepherding and teaching.

If we don’t take God’s Word as the ultimate and final authority, from its very first verse, compromise and syncretism are direct consequences. Truth becomes a “pick and choose” buffet instead of a commitment to God’s Word.

Pastors need to repent of compromise and get back to first believing and then teaching God’s Word accurately, instead of adding the world’s opinions into Scripture.

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15)

Here's Why Most Pastors Aren't Biblical

A recent study found that only 37% of pastors have a Biblical worldview. When surveying about 1,000 pastors across the country, researchers found that nearly two thirds of them veer off from what the Bible says in one way or another.

YOU made the assertion; YOU provide the evidence.

Nobody is going to visit several different churches to determine whether the assertion YOU made is valid. Rather, we can dismiss your assertion as empty opinion until and unless YOU provide supporting evidence.

So you don't have evidence of 90%.
