In mat 24, Jesus is asked 3 question.

3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

Jesus answers with 2 distinct comings.
One "after the tribulation in power and great glory "

Another distinctive coming "before the flood"....or pretrib.

In his second example of " Before the flood", Jesus gives the setting of that coming as normal life and Commerce with buying and selling, People going to jobs and working at her job site, marriages happening, And planning for the future.

( a pretribulation intentional setting.)

In this pretrib " Before the flood setting. Jesus said there will be 2 in a field, one will be taken, and the other 1 left. There be 2 on a rooftop one will be taken the other 1 left.
There will be 2 grinding at a mill. 1 will be taken the other one left.
And in luke, it says two men will be in one bed, and one will be taken and the other one left behind.

So Jesus lays out a coming where half of a group is removed. ( a preflood/pretib gathering/ rapture)

Jesus lays out another pretrib gathering (in the same breath) of 50 % are also taken, and 50% left behind.
That rapture is also in a non postrib setting of normal life and commerce, and marriages,
2 back to back images by Jesus of a pretrib gathering/ rapture, where ONLY HALF ARE TAKEN.

For years people have missed the fact that the group from which the "half gathered" are removed, is a distinct subgroup of earth's population.
Some have even tried to apply some tribulation setting to that pretrib /preflod gathering, and tried to imply a wicked person rapture/gathering.

( a total impossibility)
Jesus is way too explicit in his analogies.

Another thing to note is that the word "taken" in the greek is "taken to a good place".
"One will be taken to a good place, the other one left behind"

No it's not. It simply means taken. And verse 39 says it took them away in destruction, which is referring back to verse 28 that describes the world engaged in normal everyday stuff.

Mat 24:40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

The taking described in Matthew 24 may have more to do with the tares of Matthew 13/

Mat_13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

It's possible the "Noah" verses occur post-trib and not necessarily pre-trib. Paul wrote in 1 Thessalonians 5:3, "For when they say, 'Peace and safety!' then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape." When the Antichrist is revealed, he'll make a covenant with many (Daniel 9:27) and will usher in a time of peace. People may very well be living life a usual, until the believers are taken and the rest are hit with destruction.

Half of a subgroup are taken.
It can not, and never can be, half of earth is wicked, half righteous.

Once the facts are established, there is a chance to interpret.

The 4 horsemen kick off the 7 yr trib.

No life as usual possible.

A postrib model, would need Noah, taken/ gathered , after the trib/flood second coming.
Postrib rapture basis is "after the trib we have the second coming and rapture"

How is it possible that Noah or lot are removed post catastrophe?

Note Jesus setting : "before the flood, normal life."
You are placing normal life during the flood?

Verb
Transliteration: paralambanó

1. to receive near, i.e. associate with oneself (in any familiar or intimate act or relation)
2. (by analogy) to assume an office
3. (figuratively) to learn

Strong's Exhaustive Concordance
receive, take unto, with.
From para and lambano; to receive near, i.e. Associate with oneself (in any familiar or intimate act or relation); by analogy, to assume an office; figuratively, to learn -- receive, take (unto, with).

(Connected to intimacy.)

You..."no it isn't"

Lol.

I'm not saying that at all, you've misunderstood. I tried to explain it clearly but maybe I didn't make it clear enough.

Yes, brought alongside destruction. The word left in that verse means to be released, ie, forgiven, freed from destruction

there are movies, made in the 1980's called "A thief in the night series" I do not know if those movies can be found anymore
Quite interesting about one left and one gone and the Sun being hottest it has ever been, All kinds of things
These movies have brought kids to believe God loves us all, and it was time to be loving to all, no mater what
Very well put to gather by Kids in the 1980's

The flood is God's wrath, which comes after the tribulation. The Antichrist will arise during the tribulation and establish peace and security. Life will continue in a somewhat normal fashion during this time, except for the believers who refuse to worship him or his image. The Lord's appearing will be after the tribulation of those days but before God's wrath (the flood). At least that's how I see it playing out.

Interesting that you just helped the pretrib dynamic.

Yes.
Do note that you just revealed those taken in the rapture ( one taken, one left behind) is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT WORD.)

You just revealed and complimented the pretrib doctrine!!!!
Thank you!!!

Yes indeed, that word "taken", as in "taken by the flood" is indeed taken to a bad place.

Good find!!!!!

Truly a pretrib rapture find!!!!!

I had never realized the clear contrast proving the ones taken before the flood, TO A GOOD PLACE ,is actually authenticated by your find!!!

Still a problem.
You have , in the prewrath/postrib theory, 2 comings.
One prewrath and one post wrath.
The actual prewrath coming is Rev 14:14.
A coming by Jesus for the gathering after the 144,000 Jewish firstfruits.
The Jews being firstfruits of that gathering.
Jesus is the firstfruits of the church rapture/gathering.

But the setting during the trib is a horrible world and the innumerable number are in heaven as martyrs during the trib.
Jesus said before the flood there was 100% normal life.

Are postribs now saying the trib is 100% normal life?

( a world leader that hates Christians and their God, requiring a mark, and murdering all refusing is normal life?)

In the Noah story, there is no chaos and world leader requiring a mark before the flood.
Why would Jesus make that dynamic crystal clear.?

Why would one be taken/left after the trib and before the wrath?
Huh?

The ones taken in the prewrath of rev 14;14 are not at all in a normal life setting.
But they are CLEARLY depicted as Jews.

Yes, brought alongside destruction. The word left in that verse means to be released, ie, forgiven, freed from destruction
Oh?
To "receive intimately",
"forgiven",
and "freed from destruction"????
You need that to go away?

You need "receiving intimately" to be the wicked taken and thrown into some bad place????
Hilarious.

Nope.
Keep trying though.
It is written.
Sorry about your dilemma.

We clearly have different views on this. To me it's not worth debating so I'm out.

There is another interesting dynamic to the analogy of Jesus with NOAH and the rapture.
Noah is gathered into the ark pretrib/preflood.
The ark is a type of heaven.
So Noah and family rise over a mile into the heavens, exactly as we are carried up into the clouds in the pretrib rapture.
Noah spends the flood judgement high above the earth, exactly like the church spends the tribulation in heaven, high above the earth.
Then the ark returns back to earth postrib/postflood exactly like the pretrib rapture then postrib return, Jesus depicted.

Then Noah and family set up a new kingdom on earth after their postrib return from the heavens, exactly like Jesus and the church set up a new kingdom in the mil.

Thank you Jesus for your pretrib rapture depiction!

Jesus said one will be taken, and one left behind.
Those taken, can not be half of earth's population.
The postrib rapture doctrine has a dilemma in that those taken do not in any sense fit their doctrine.
It is via creativity that they came up with "wicked taken".
It can not be .
It, in no way, fits.
