In mat 24, Jesus is asked 3 question.
3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
Jesus answers with 2 distinct comings.
One "after the tribulation in power and great glory "
Another distinctive coming "before the flood"....or pretrib.
In his second example of " Before the flood", Jesus gives the setting of that coming as normal life and Commerce with buying and selling, People going to jobs and working at her job site, marriages happening, And planning for the future.
( a pretribulation intentional setting.)
In this pretrib " Before the flood setting. Jesus said there will be 2 in a field, one will be taken, and the other 1 left. There be 2 on a rooftop one will be taken the other 1 left.
There will be 2 grinding at a mill. 1 will be taken the other one left.
And in luke, it says two men will be in one bed, and one will be taken and the other one left behind.
So Jesus lays out a coming where half of a group is removed. ( a preflood/pretib gathering/ rapture)
Jesus lays out another pretrib gathering (in the same breath) of 50 % are also taken, and 50% left behind.
That rapture is also in a non postrib setting of normal life and commerce, and marriages,
2 back to back images by Jesus of a pretrib gathering/ rapture, where ONLY HALF ARE TAKEN.
For years people have missed the fact that the group from which the "half gathered" are removed, is a distinct subgroup of earth's population.
Some have even tried to apply some tribulation setting to that pretrib /preflod gathering, and tried to imply a wicked person rapture/gathering.
( a total impossibility)
Jesus is way too explicit in his analogies.
