But you are not proving your concept.
I've been at this long enough to know you don't prove things by saying or writing them.
If the light-bulb does not turn on - it doesn't turn on.
One of the things I found in a few decades of teaching was that people needed to think and not just be preached to. In many teaching environments tests are given to proved competency in understanding. The church doesn't seem to think much of this.
The church puts infants in pews and either doesn't teach, teaches milk for the masses which is mostly infancy, teaches some meat for the non-infants which means it goes over the head of the infants, and so on, and rarely does it do anything to see who's learning anything.
I and others have taught, then heard students say off the wall things - have asked them where they got such a thing - and have been told, "from you." So, there's also this thing some call a filter that changes what people are hearing into something else based in their presuppositional structure.
There're also other dynamics at work, like people who attend only because they think they're supposed to, but who are really not listening. And among them, some that nod off 10 seconds after teaching begins even in small groups where they're not hidden at all.
There is so much at play here, Genez.
I ended up teaching small groups. The more I formatted interaction which allowed me to do intermittent testing by asking questions, the more I saw that few are really learning the Text because I taught at the textual level which requires more reasoning than being grilled with systematic doctrines.
I asked you and
@Kroogz to look at 2 Scriptures that can seem to conflict with one another. I translated them in a legitimate way that can show how and why they don't conflict. The verb tenses including the proper way to understand the perfect tense can alone tell us why there is no conflict.
Neither of you interacted in a meaningful way although
@Kroogz said a few meaningful things.
I don't profess to be able to teach everyone spiritual things. There are too many S-spiritual things going on in and around people to kid oneself that it's all up to me. I also know the difference between someone who wants to learn and someone who doesn't.
You know the terminology '+V'. I came to see what I called the '+V stare'. It's very rare, but when you're teaching the Bible, there is that one new person that is in attendance who is so locked in that they are like a bright light shining in the room. It's quite the thing and so not the norm. It's like seeing all the way into their soul.
If you want to interact and maybe learn, please don't try to lay all the responsibility on me or anyone else.
Whether or not you realize this, I'm open to learning and some of what I learn comes from interaction that makes me go back and look at things again and again and at times takes me deeper than I've been before. If you've noticed, I don't do much if any copy and pasting. I threw away decades of notes and look at everything at the textual level over and over again whenever I get into a discussion.
Let's see what you've got. If you have to eat crow, I'll provide the salt. If I have to, then I hope you'll do the same.
