none , i follow none except Jesus.

You stop following Jesus at the last supper when He declares His blood is the New Covenant. Had that discussion with you more than once in your commandment thread. You can't say the commandments are the covenant when Jesus declare HE is the covenant.

So many in our community are searching. However, I feel we are not preaching the whole gospel. Yes, saved by Grace through believing in Jesus but we lost that believing means also obeying. Not by works. But that when we are truly saved and the Holy Spirit lives in us than our life will show it. We are to be the light of the world and people should look at us and know we follow and love Jesus by our lives.
Thx again for your post.

Are you aware that the 10 commandments have been presented as the covenant between believers and God? The lie SDA people and vassal present in this forum, is that evangelicals, such as you say you are, believe the commandments have been done away with. Now, I certainly do not believe that and it seems neither do you.

The difference being that New Testament Christians know that we cannot keep the commandments. We believe that is the reason God sent His Son to die on our behalf. So saying believers say sin is ok, is a very dishonest representation of what believers in Jesus actually profess.

As far as SDA people go, are you aware they say that unless you hold to the Sabbath, you will experience the wrath of God. They believe that going to church on Sunday is the mark of the beast.

Yes of course we will seek to please God and follow Jesus as believers. But again, SDA people and vassal keep misrepresenting what we say and twist scripture. They are not the honest God seeking people they present themselves as.

you have imagined an enemy, and superimposed it on me.

Let us not, therefore, be insensible to His kindness. For were He to reward us according to our works, we should cease to be. Therefore, having become His disciples, let us learn to live according to the principles of Christianity. For whosoever is called by any other name besides this, is not of God. Lay aside, therefore, the evil, the old, the sour leaven, and be changed into the new leaven, which is Jesus Christ. Be salted in Him, lest any one among you should be corrupted, since by your savour you shall be convicted. It is absurd to profess Christ Jesus, and to Judaize. For Christianity did not embrace Judaism, but Judaism Christianity, that so every tongue which believes might be gathered together to God.

Typical post of yours.

You're quoting Ignatius of antioch.
My favorite ECF.

But who can know why....
You don't state it.

And still no scripture.

still no scripture.

now it's clear you have no idea who i am, and don't understand anything i have said.

i have been on this forum for 13 years.
do you really think i have never read Romans?

are you so ill versed in the Word you need me to repeat it to you?

by grace through faith, not of works, lest any boast.

welcome to CC, new neighbor.

Jesus went to the cross to show that those that follow and trust Him are unable to keep the commandments?
This sounds like another brand new teaching.

And every denomination teaches something or other that we do not care for.
So far @vassal has posted what the NT teaches.

If he wishes to worship on Saturday,,,that is his prerogative - even if you do not agree with him.

Some on these boards do state that sinning will not cause loss of salvation.
They state that obeying God is doing works of the Law.
They even believe that faith is a work.

I'd say these statements are very serious and should be addressed.
Then there are matters of secondary importance.

So saying believers say sin is ok, is a very dishonest representation of what believers in Jesus actually profess.

Works?
What works?

And who mentioned Romans?
You did?

How about stating what you wish me to know about you and how about
posting scripture. You know POST IT,,,not just mention it.

And, yes, I do not know who you are.
Am I supposed to know you?

You mean this from Romans, perhaps?

Romans 2:5-6
5 But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God,
6 who
WILL RENDER TO EACH PERSON ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS.

You stated in a previous post that I was not understanding you.
I said that it surely seemed I did since you were offering pushback for my merely stating that we must obey God.

Now you state that we are saved by faith and not works.

Do you know any Christian that believes we are JUSTIFIED by works?
I do not.

So,,,what you're really saying is that you do not believe in doing good works.

Maybe.
Maybe not.
Who can know.

You like mystery
and I like clarity.

BTW
You mentioned Romans
and then quoted Ephesians.

This is why scripture must be posted and not just mentioned.

You answer a question with a question.
Perhaps you don't know the answer.

Or you're as pride filled as the man in the synagogue.
Jesus did the same thing when asked by what authority He did various things. He responded to a question with a question.

You might want to rethink your response.

here is a man who pokes himself when he removes his sword from his scabbard

bruh

if you know, you know.
but if you profess yourself ignorant of scripture, i can painstakingly waste my time to oblige and cite every single innuendo.

speak plainly how unlearned and dumb you are please, and i will be happy to accommodate - - but if you present yourself as a teacher and as yet act like a failed student, i myself confess that i remain at a loss what to treat with you.

I really don't care how you live...you'll take that up with God.

As to how you believe....
you're offering push-back on what I've written.
All I've written is that we are to obey God.

That says a lot about what you believe.

And I don't see any scripture.
So everything you've stated, so far, is your opinion.

Your opinion is of no interest to anyone.
Actually, his opinion is of interest to me, because I have found that his approach to theology is biblically sound, and his understanding of certain other matters exceeds my own.

The absence of quoted Scripture does not make one's contribution "opinion". I can cite Scripture without quoting it, and I can allude to it without citing it. Only those with a comparable knowledge of Scripture will catch the references, while those less familiar with it may well miss them.

Pushback, criticism, and general commentary can all be grounded in Scripture without the requirement to quote Scripture. A criticism without Scripture is a useful test to determine whether the recipient is open to correction at all.

After all, there is no point in throwing pearls before swine.

if it's in your heart, you know it when it's even hinted at.

but if all your doing is hoping for a chance to rehearse a couple of prepared attacks you don't understand, you get frustrated when the game isn't actually set to easy mode, it's real life.

then why are you even posting?

weren't you telling us that how we live earns or prohibits salvation?

so you are saying that salvation is meaningless to you, has no effect on your actions?

hmm maybe you are in fact the greasy one, oh accuser...

The Truth is that whoever believes in Christ should pursue a righteous life - - but it is their belief that saves them, that is, The One in Whom they believe, not the righteousness of their walk.

this is self evident to anyone and everyone who has ever truthfully wielded The Sword.

ok, understood, you are an ignorant child. no problem. you were drawn to where you **might** learn.

you do well to recognize the preliminary goodness of childlike obedience. but obedience to what/Who?

why did Jesus die if you did not need Him to?
