No one is saved without faith

Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

We are saved by grace though faith. Faith is a big word, not a small one. Faith does not void the law but establishes the law Rom3:31

Nor does grace give us a pass to break the law of God and sin 1John3:4 James2:10-12.

Rom 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
You falsely conflate God's Law and God's commandments. I obey the Lord Jesus who leads me in the way I should go. You cannot accept that the law is abolished. Yet God's word states it clearly. You are under a curse because you cannot keep God's law perfectly.

You raise the subject of sin. Of course you do; it is a distraction from the subject being discussed now. SDA method 101.

".........by abolishing in His flesh the law of commandments and decrees..........." Ephesians 2:5

My Bible tells me that I died to the Law. Dead people do not get charged with a crime they committed while alive. I now live by a new law, the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ my King.

"Therefore, my brothers, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit to God." Romans 7:4

"By speaking of a new covenant, He has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear." Hebrews 8:13

"Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons, influenced by the hypocrisy of liars, whose consciences are seared with a hot iron." 1 Timothy 4:1-2

This describes SDA precisely.

"But now, having died to what bound us, we have been released from the law, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code." Romans 7:6

Health laws still binding ....

This is simply a matter of believing that God wants us to look after our health.

SDA'S believe God will give us new bodies at His second coming.
1Co 15:52-53
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

But this does not mean we should neglect or hurt the bodies God has given us.

We are the temple of the Living God and our mental, physical and Spiritual health are all connected. And all important.

God is perfect and knows what is best for our health. He gave us laws that are for our health so we should listen and obey.
Old or new Testament the body has not changed
No one has proven God wrong.
There are no SDA at the retirement village where I live. The average age of those living independently is 83. That includes some people who are 90 or more. One of my acquaintances drinks coffee and potters around in her garden. She is 94. If the people in the aged care facility are included, the average age here is 87. I know of no vegetarians.

Your a liar vassal.

You and I know that you are using Christian Chat to evangelize.

You have no intention of even reading anyone's posts.

Your a liar and you know that.

You are a rock solid SDA adherent and you have denied a thousand posts.

Tell the truth.
How easy to not reply to a question, just accuse someone! well I know you know the truth! I also know you don't believe What Jesus said and wont follow him, by what you write it is evident also don't want to change!. You still have a little bit of time before the gates are shut. I wish you well.

A simple follower of Jesus our Lord that is not part of any church, Jesus is my Lord, my shepherd and I follow and hear only His voice.

No! Me perfectly ? No!. I still have many things to learn. My reference point to all bible truth is Jesus who I follow completely.

The first 2...doctrines

Let's talk about the seal of God...
The seal or mark of God is given to the faith but the make of the beast is recieved by the lost .
It's obvious that we have one or the other.. the mark of the beast or the mark of God.

God has given us His physical seal or mark in His commandments.
A seal is made up of
the lawgivers name,
his title
and his area of rulership or dominion.

the Sabbath commandment is the only place you will find all three of these..

The Lord thy God...Name
The Lord thy creator ...Title
the Heavens and the Earth. ...area of Rule

The holy sabbath day commandment has all that is needed to make it the seal of God. Even though God's seal is physically written in the 4th commandment. It is written in our foreheads because we spiritually choose to obey. The law is Spiritual. Rom 7:14
It is a sign between God and His people.

Eze 20:12 Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them.

Eze 20:20 And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God.

The mark of the beast.
This is not a literal or physical mark. But an invisible representation of who we choose to worship. It is about who we serve and a barcode or stamp does not accurately show our spiritual allegiance.
But to identify the mark we must identify the beast.
First we need to identify the beast.

The first beast of Revelation 13 also known as the leopard-like beast, is identified as the papacy through a series of specific prophetic markers that distinguish it from all other earthly powers. This power represents the Roman Church as an ecclesiastical body clothed with civil authority to enforce its decrees and punish dissenters

The identity of this beast is established by its connection to previous world empires and its specific manner of emergence: you really need to read Dan 7 and Rev 13....

The beast possesses the mouth of a lion, the feet of a bear, and the body of a leopard, signifying that it absorbed the territories and characteristics of Babylon, Medo-Persia, and Grecia Revelation 13:2

It received its "power, and his seat, and great authority" from the dragon, which symbolizes Pagan Rome Revelation 13:2
Specifically, this transfer occurred when the seat of the empire moved to Constantinople and the Bishop of Rome ascended a throne in the city of Rome.

Its ten horns identify it with the fourth beast of Daniel 7 representing the ten kingdoms of the Western Roman Empire Daniel 7:7 .

Next The beast is defined by its self-exaltation and its attempts to alter divine mandates:
It has a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, ascribing to itself titles and authority that belong only to God Revelation 13:5-6
A primary characteristic of this power is that it would "think to change times and laws," specifically substituting the seventh-day Sabbath with Sunday observance Daniel 7:25

Because it exalts its own laws above the law of God, it is identified by Paul as the "man of sin" and the "mystery of iniquity" 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 it claims to even forgive sin. Blasphemy.

The 1260-Year Reign
The prophecy provides a specific chronological timeframe for the beast's undisputed supremacy:
The beast was given power to continue for "forty and two months," which represents 1260 prophetic days (= years) Revelation 13:5

This period began in 538 A.D. when the decree of Justinian made the Pope the head of all churches and the last Arian opposition (the Goths) was removed from Italy
Exactly 1260 years later, in 1798, the French General Berthier entered Rome, took the Pope prisoner, and abolished the papal government, thus fulfilling the prophecy that he who leads into captivity shall go into captivity Revelation 13:10

The most striking identifier of the first beast is its apparent death and subsequent revival.
The Deadly Wound refers to the events of 1798, where the papal head of the Roman government was "as it were wounded to death" by the sword of the French army Revelation 13:3
But The "healing" began with the restoration of the papacy and continues as the world again recognizes its civil and religious influence.

The prophecy declares that once the wound is fully healed, "all the world wondered after the beast," leading to a final crisis of universal worship and allegiance Revelation 13:3, 8

Throughout its history, the beast is identified by its opposition to God's faithful people. It killed millions.

It was given power to "overcome the saints," a specification fulfilled through the Inquisition, crusades, and the martyrdom of millions of Christians during the Dark Ages Revelation 13:7

There will be Victory Over the Beast by God's people, Spiritual victory.
The final conflict identifies those who refuse to honor the beast as those who "keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus" Revelation 14:12
These faithful ones are eventually seen standing on the sea of glass, having gotten the victory over the beast and his mark Revelation 15:2

It is clear that the first beast of Rev 13 is Papal Rome. Not pagan Rome. Or some future power.

The identifying marks given in Daniel and Rev all point to papal Rome.

So what is the mark of the Beast?

Just as the Sabbath is God’s sign of His creative power and authority, the mark of the beast is a rival or counterfeit sign representing the authority of the Roman Church. A Sign of its own Authority.

The mark is not a literal physical brand but a public profession of allegiance or an act of obedience to human laws over God's law, specifically involving the counterfeit sabbath. Choose you this day who you will serve....

We ask the papacy a question.... “Did you really change Sabbath to Sunday?” She replies, “Yes, we did. It is our symbol, or mark, of authority and power".

Protestants ... accept Sunday rather than Saturday as the day for public worship after the Catholic Church made the change... But the Protestant mind does not seem to realize that ... in observing Sunday, they are accepting the authority of the spokesman for the Church, the pope.
—Our Sunday Visitor, February 5th, 1950.

Of course the Catholic Church claims that the change was her act. And the act is a mark of her ecclesiastical power and authority in religious matters.
—C. F. Thomas, Chancellor of Cardinal Gibbons, in answer to a letter regarding the change of the Sabbath, November 11, 1895.

The act is a mark of her ecclesiastical power and authority in religious matters.

If the beast is the papal church and her mark of power is Sunday worship it is clear... what the mark of the beast is.

Follow Jesus and be a Commandment Keepers. Those who avoid the mark are characterized by keeping "the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus" Revelation 14:12
The two-horned beast, identified as the United States, is the power that will enforce this mark through civil law.. (watch this space)

choosing between mans laws and Gods laws, between being faithful to God or faithful to the world will be the test. This enforcement occurs when Sunday observance is mandated by law, which Rome claims as a special mark of her ecclesiastical power and supremacy.

hope this helps you to understand.
I didn't put lots of details that gives much more weight to this doctrine due to space. The link below is a good study.

https://www.sabbathtruth.com/faq/advanced-topics/the-sabbath-and-the-mark-of-the-beast
Blah blah blah with no scripture to prove any of it. You have replaced the Holy Spirit with a day of the week and you insist your non scriptural view of the mark of the beast view is true based off a made up 19th century vision. I definitely don’t need your link to more of your sda heresy. You just wrote a wall of word salad for two false doctrines and still couldn’t prove anything. For one you should realize the Torah was written for the Jews not the gentiles. Quit acting like everything the Father commanded was for you. News flash, it was for Israel. I hate you wasted your time with such a pointless post.

So if there are no laws against consuming caffeine and nicotine and unclean meats how is it that it is a sin to do so?

I think some don't know or understand Paul in Hebrews 8 it quoting Jeremiah 31

Ok. I understand. So why am I being told about the ten Commandments. I understand the law Jesus said he did not come to abolish but fulfill right? So why are people saying on here we have to live by it when Paul says we can't? And what Jesus says what sums the law. I thought the Messiah was here cause we could not live up to the law? Right? I know groups who try to live the law and are frustrated .That even clean toasters taking them apart to avoid yeast. It's just crazy. I thought christ purpose was not only to be a perfect attonemant but to stop us from living according to a law even though perfect,we can not ever do? Right or wrong?
Some people here are wholly committed to the doctrine that God's command to keep Shabbat was not only for the Jews (under the provisions of the Mosaic covenant) but was an eternal mandate to be obeyed by all of mankind forever. They try very hard to get this idea into the Genesis account of creation:
And by the seventh day God had finished the work He had been doing; so on that day He rested from all His work. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because on that day He rested from all the work of creation that He had accomplished.
(Genesis 2:2-3)

I am not sure exactly what it means for God to "bless" or "sanctify" a day, but I do know that Genesis never explicitly commanded mankind to follow His example and rest from THEIR work every Seventh Day. The Bible never spreaks about any of the righteous line of Adam such as Abel, Seth, or Enoch keeping Shabbat. If anyone would have exemplified Keeping Shabbat it would have been Noah whose very name means "rest." yet there is no evidence of Noah keeping Shabbat either. People try hard to work universality of Shabbat keeping into the text but it is simply not there.

Shabbat Keeping did not became a law until Moses, the Lawgiver who spoke with God audibly from Mt Sinai made it a law for Israel. God Himself testified to what the Law was by burning His commands on two tablets of stone. Some Sabbatarians who frequent this site INSIST that God HAD already revealed the Law of Shabbat to mankind in the beginning of human history though this is never actually stated in the Torah.

The idea of a human Shabbat does not come into the Biblical narrative until God delivered Israel from their slavery to Egypt. This is significant. Slaves of the kind Israelis were had no human rights. Instead, they are bound to serve this "god king" ceaselessly with bitter arduous labor until they die. Thus the command to keep Shabbat was an act of divine kindness towards them.

However, the followers of such people as Ellen White insist that the command was given to all mankind in perpetuity. However, although Moses, who wrote Genesis, mentions God having a shabbat he never commands people to cease from their labors every Seventh Day. However, I do not think God would give mankind a universal command by implying or suggesting it. What He expects of humanity (i.e., His COMMANDS) He states clearly and in no uncertain terms. Not only that, but had God commanded all mankind to keep Shabbat, historic evidence of such a practice could be found among the many races, tribes and cultures that descended from Adam. However, when we look at history we find that Shabbat is a particularly JEWISH practice.

Also, we never see the Apostles whom Jesus sent to proclaim the good news of salvation to the nations EVER encouraging, admonishing, exhorting, much less commanding their followers to keep Shabbat. This is not to say many who were Jewish by upbringing did not continue meeting on Shabbat but very quickly Christians began meeting to pray, praise, fellowship, collect and dispense offerings on Sunday, the day Hebrew speakers call "Yom Rishon" (First Day) but which Christians began calling "The Lord's Day" because it was on the First Day that Jesus appeared to them after He had been crucified.

Also if you aren’t following laws to not eat meat and there is absolutely no scientific proof that meat is bad for us, why not eat meat? If Jesus drank wine(alcohol) and you clam it to be a sin, then you are claiming Jesus sinned.

You had the “SAD” church part correct. And why can you not get it through you head that neither the Father nor the Son ever commanded the gentiles to keep the sabbath? The Father commanded Israel to keep the sabbath because they had just come out of 400 years of slavery without a day off of work. They needed to learn that the human body needs rest to recoup spiritually and physically. The Pharisees made it into the ritual that you still practice today. Anyone who has actually worked 100 hour weeks in the life can tell you how important rest is. People are so bored with their luxury lives these days that they don’t understand the need for rest. They are always at rest.

Yet you reject what He stated in Genesis 9:3. Instead you stick to instructions given in a world that no longer exists.

You treat His word like a buffet and "eat" only what you prefer while rejecting the parts that don't appeal to you.

If "health laws" are still binding, then where do you find a Levitical priest to inspect your acne, eczema, or psoriasis? Which priest comes to your house to inspect the black mould on your tile grout?

Your rationale is ridiculous.

I think some don't know or understand Paul in Hebrews 8 it quoting Jeremiah 31
Paul quotes Jeremiah, but how does his quote prove or contribute to the argument he is making? Our interpretation of Jeremiah 31 will inform our interpretation of Hebrews 8, and so if we begin with an incorrect interpretation of Jeremiah 31, we will end up with an incorrect interpretation of Hebrews 8.

Paul argues that the Old Covenant is being replaced by the New Covenant. Some Christians mistakenly believe that the sole difference between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant is the spiritual quality of the individuals in the New Covenant. But while Jeremiah says that God will write his law onto their hearts, he also says that God will forgive Israel's sins. Jeremiah 31:34 Hebrews 10:17

Thus, the cross of Christ is a major aspect of the New Covenant. Hebrews 9:11-12 Paul asserts that Jesus has become our true high priest, taking his own blood into the heavenly temple. Hebrews 9:15 But this wouldn't be lawful unless God had changed the law to allow a King to serve as a Priest. Hebrews 7:18

So we see that Jeremiah 31:34 should be understood in the light of Paul's argument, namely, that the law written on the hearts under the new covenant is a changed law. We are no longer under the Law of Sin and Death. The Law written on our hearts is the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:2-4

We are no longer walking under that Law, which includes resting on Saturday.

I have observed that when confronted with the practice of circumcision (which was a requirement under the covenants of both ABRAHAM and MOSES) these Sabbatarians prefer not to talk about it. Why do you suppose that is?

The gospel that SDA's preach is basically salvation by faith + obeying the 10 commandments (with a heavy emphasis on the 4th commandment). Salvation by grace plus law, faith plus works. Here is a statement below in blue from an SDA who is a former member of Christian Chat which proves my point:

The counterfeit Gospel is out there. What is the other Gospel? It is a Gospel that tries to separate God's Law (10 commandments) from the Cross. It is a Gospel that tries to separate God's 10 commandments from the plan of salvation. God’s Law has always been part of the true Gospel of Christ. The counterfeit Gospel does not have it. God's forever Law (the 10 commandments) is the foundation of both the Old and the New Covenant and the very foundation and basis of the true Gospel of Christ.
Nothing but a sound bite, an opinion. A thus saith you.
I understand the law Jesus said he did not come to abolish but fulfill right? So why are people saying on here we have to live by it when Paul says we can't?
Paul never said Christians can't.

Because it exposes the incoherence of their position. :)
