If Jesus could not sin, His temptation was a sham.

Well he chose to not sin, and because of that He could not sin.

Because He decided He would be faithful to the Father and not sin, it's a moot point on whether He could have sinned or not because He made the decision to not sin and because of that - He never sinned.

1 John 3:9 tells us that "Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God."

This is what Jesus did and it's why He could not sin. It's what 1 John 3:9 is talking about and it's what Christians should be doing rather than going around claiming "I'm a sinner" like the tares

The entirety of this miracle depends on your definition of "virgin". The original word for virgin means "unmarried young maiden". Per Mary's own words, "I've never known a man." By no means does it cling to the integrity of a woman's hymen, which could be broken in any physical activity. I've studied a lot about this, the hymen's primary fuction is to block pee and poop, once a girl is potty trained, it's served its purpose. Therefore, in modern time, if a woman who's never been sexually active gets pregnant through IVF or IUI, that could count as a virgin birth. But since neither IVF, IUI or other reproductive assistance existed in first century Judea, and I'm sure "overshadowing" was neither of these techs, the immaculate conception was qualified as a miracle.
Good explained 😀

Well, now we are on a new topic about resurrected bodies.
Certainly, ours will be new ones possibly from dust, but the Bible does not indicate that was the case for Jesus.
Not sure about the Shroud of Turin. I tend to doubt it but am keeping an open mind.
Paul described resurrected bodies as "spiritual", but did not go into detail about supernatural capabilities.
I envision heaven in terms of Eden, but enjoying food without needing to :poop:
Does the bible indicate that the tomb was empty without a body in it? Yes or no? If yes, then the body had returned to dust.

I would think that all the shroud proves is that Jesus disappeared, not that he turned to dust. Being folded gives the impression that someone (possibly Jesus) got up and, yknow, folded it.

Also, if he turned to dust and had a brand new body why did he still have the scars from the crucifixion?
"Return to dust" means totally decomposed into organic matters it was formed of. Paul compares resurrection with the germination of a seed, when it sprouts and root is formed, the seed will be totally consumed.

Besides, in the ultimate revelation of Jesus, his glorified form is described in Rev. 1, where're the scars there?

In Matthew's account, an angel rolled away the stone in front of the tomb, and told the women that the tomb is already EMPTY: "He is not here, for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay." (Matt. 28:6) Did Jesus walk out of there? In this or other gospel accounts? Absolutely not.

And IMMEDIATELY after Mary spoke to the angels, she spoke to Jesus.
Shortly after that, Thomas touched Jesus' scarred hands and the cut in His side.

You seem to be skipping over some key information given in scriptures to justify your hypothesis.

You seem to be skipping over the fact of the ALREADY empty tomb, Mary Magdalene met him outside, he didn't walk out like Lazarus. That's no hypothesis.

My point is if he had a new body, why did he still have scars when he met with Thomas and before he ascended?

If it was the old body, where did it come from? Certainly not from the tomb when the angel rolled away the stone. The manner of shroud indicates as though his body vaporized into the thin air, instead of struggling out of the wrapping. The scars were proof of his identity, the disciples wouldn't have recognized him without the scars.

Again, looking at the full context of those scripted see that the sun standing still was a unique event that had never happened before (or since then). It was unnatural. God working outside His designed order...as is His right.
I take it you believe the sun rotates around the earth? If that is the case then I would say yes it would have been a unique event for the sun to stay in the midst of heaven But as Jesus asked, are there not twelve hours in a day?

The Bible does not mention many things. One of them is just how Jesus became resurrected and how He got out of the tomb. It merely tells us that He was resurrected. And early church legends that have been preserved go to a lot of trouble to explain why there was a body in the tomb, even so far as suggesting that there were multiple bodies in the tomb. And remember, Paul, whose letters precede the gospel accounts that we have today, never mentions an empty tomb and what appears to be the earliest endings for both Mark and John do not reference a physical resurrection. Now do you believe that accounts of a physical resurrection were dropped or that they were added, for whatever reason

Then how did the Lord get out? Passing through like a ghost? No such thing is indicated. That's your hypothesis.

Luke 24:2-9 says the stone was rolled away.
And 1Cor. 15:42-47 says the resurrection body is raised with supernatural ability.
It also says Adam was made from dust but Jesus was made from heaven.

how Jesus became resurrected and how He got out of the tomb.

It's simple, Jesus came back in to His Body and God made His Body alive again through the power of the Holy Spirit and then Jesus got up and walked out of the tomb after the angel of the Lord rolled the stone away

My point is if he had a new body, why did he still have scars when he met with Thomas and before he ascended?

It's God's will that He retain those scare for all eternity as a reminder to all about Jesus having gone to the cross.

That is certainly possible, but as is so popular to say in these forums, can you back that up with scripture?

Those that know their Bible know Jesus left His Body when He died on the cross and went in to hell to preach to the spirits in prison and they know the Holy Spirit quickens the mortal body making it alive.

At some point you are going to have to learn to study the Bible for your self and look things up if you are interested in knowing what God said about it.

Or be like others and choose to not know and be too lazy to study for yourself. That's the popular option that leads to deception

If he can walk through a door or "appear" in a room, I would assume he can pass through a tomb/stone.

John 20:26

There is zero indication that Jesus turned to dust in the tomb. The shroud would only prove he had been there, nothing else. The fact thst his body still had scars BEFORE he ascended indicates it was the same body.

You seem to be limiting the power of God.

I do know my bible very well but citing that Jesus preached to the people in Hades, hell is not really referred to in scripture, does not answer the question. Where does it STATE how Jesus was resurrected? We hear about several other people in scripture who are returned to life without any indication that their bodies were substantially different then when they had died, yet Jesus's body supposedly is markedly different. Your answer does not explain what was different.

Do you know your Bible, or do you just come up with what you WANT to be present in it and declare that it is correct? That path is pure deception.
