How old were you when you turned attractive? (Or when the opposite sex first noticed and took interest in you?)

@2ndTimeIsTheCharm I guess I am taking responsiblity for this thread.

I have made it into a poll - actually the first poll I've made on CC. Don't worry it's anonymous unless you want to share.

Be brave...spill the beans~ you could always just state the year, AD, but then everyone will have to guess how old you are now lol

This was inspired by the TV series 'The Summer I turned Pretty' based on the YA (young adult) trilogy of books by Jenny Han.

If you've seen or read the books, feel free to post your comments here.

A quick sypnosis - The first book is about a young girl called Belly (short for Isabella) who is turning 16 that summer. Every summer she goes and stays with her mum, her brother and her mum's best friend and their two sons, Conrad and Jeremiah. Her mum's best friend, has a beach house. Belly also has an older brother, Steven, who is graduating college that year. Conrad is in his first year of college, and Jeremiah is Belly's age.
Up to the age of 16, no boy ever really noticed Belly. She was kind of invisible to boys. But then at age 16 it seems she blossomed..she lost her glasses and braces, she filled out her figure, and suddenly it seems boys are attracted to her. Belly has a secret crush on the older brother Conrad for many years, and Jeremiah the younger one, was always like a brother to her. But things all change that summer she turns pretty.....

How old were you when you first turned attractive? Probably was at an early age I surmise. During my many single years I could have benefited from Love Potion #9.

I don't know when I turned attractive I know when I turned different June 17th 2023 Jesus.. The Year I turned ugly is I looked up one day and the tattoo artist said " You have too many" a real wake up!! Thanks for your reaction to my post..later sissy

I was in kindergarten, she slobbered on a book page, I slobbered on the same book page, then Jennifer was my girlfriend lol... not really though. I think we sat on the field trip bus with one another maybe once or twice.
In first grade, I had a second-grade girlfriend; we used to french kiss all the time, we did other stuff, and even played marriage once in our apartment complex.

But not for long, with the medicine changed to Capyta, it's just a matter of time now. I plan on just getting that one girlfriend, and leaving it at that.

I little blonde in 3rd grade stole my heart. After graduation I stopped by her house. She came to the door in a towel. It was the most nervous time and most tempting. Went to her room she said tun around and don't peek while I dress. I don't regret respecting her but my guts were shaking so hard I was trembling.

Hmm... What kind of attraction are we talking about?

Are we talking about smooth skin on the face, big breasts, big muscles, a big butt? Lots of people think that is attractive.

Are we talking about a witty personality? Some people find that attractive. Or they SAY they do... I heard one comedian say, "Women will say they want a man who is funny. He doesn't have to be rich or handsome, as long as he can make them laugh. Liars! I was the class clown every year I was in school, not a single girl asked me out."

Money is very attractive. Lots of women envied Melinda Gates. Some of them still do envy her. I don't think it was because Bill was so good in bed.

I never had any of those things going for me, so I'm still single. Whew! Dodged a bullet on that one. :D

I think it just means when the opposite sex took an interest in you. It could be any of the above or it could be because you are fun to hang out with. IDK.

I think with the comedian guy he should be asking the ladies out rather than waiting for the ladies to ask him. 'That's not how it's meant to work. We can always say no, but we might also say yes. So how could he know if he never tried?

I might suggest that you listen to Shania Twain's That Don't Impress Me much.

I don't know about the smooth skin (should everyone shave? Or is it ok to be hairy?)
Big breasts? Big muscles? Big Butt? (is it ok to be petite? Not everyone is big)

Money? Not in this economy lol. I don't know about Melinda Gates (why envy? Women can and do make their own money) but I know Mark Zuckerbergs wife was probably not into his money intially as he didn't really have all that much to begin with.

You don't have to be in a relationship or married to be attracted to someone or have people attracted to you. Who knows, maybe you have some secret admirers...? If someone touches your heart, maybe that's attractive. It could be kindness, or the way they smell, or maybe their talents - artistic, sport, utter genius... anything

I've sort of made this unisex because I don't think its fair on females to say their only attractive feature is their looks (turning pretty) although being easy on the eyes is probably an immediate advantage. How many times do men say they like a girl that is blonde? have lost count.

Maybe the whole magnetism/charisma thing is 'je ne sais quoi' meaning the 'I don't know what.' ?!
 
Jesus was not anything to look at, he was often serious, and he had hardly any money so why do you think women fell in love with him?
