OK then you should advocate for righteous judgement which is what Jesus instructed:

John 7:24
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
John 7:24 does not authorize people to infallibly judge others but rather commands them to move beyond superficial assessments to righteous judgment. This calls for discernment based on evidence, truth and spiritual principles rather than outward appearances or prejudices.

Yes and when they teach things Jesus and His Apostles did not teach, they are to be warned and others should be warned of them

You should check out some of the things the Lord says in the New Covenant about mass deception in the end times. Very eye opening and sobering.

Jesus does not say what you say: justified is justified.

Unless you are able to find where in the NT Jesus said this.

Perhaps seeing the big picture is keeping you from seeing what Jesus taught?

The writer of Hebrews taught:

Hebrews 12;14
14Pursue peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord.

Without sanctification no one will see the Lord.

No sanctification.
No justification.
No justification.
No salvation.

It's all one picture....
be it macro
or be it micro.

You reveal how little you understand regarding sanctification and justification... the justified person is also holy!

However, you are right, the single word is sufficient and it denies what you teach completely, which is Catholicism lite.

I only know what scripture states.
If you like to hypothesise you can.

Seems you didn't catch the point.

You have to be joking around Roger316.

I'll stop posting to you now.
We were having a good conversation, and I appreciated it. We don't necessarily need to agree but we grow when challenged. And that is a good thing.

TD
I don't mean to kill a dead horse but I do think the concept you're speaking of is important.

Let's look at the veses again:

Matthew 7:24-27
24“Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock.

25“And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.

26“Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.

27“The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.”

Verses 24 and 25 is about a man that is doing something.
He's not building a house....he's acting on the words of Jesus.
THIS acting on the words of Jesus is WHAT is causing the house to be built....
The fact that he's obeying Jesus is what makes the foundation be of rock.

In verses 26 and 27 is about a man building a house by NOT OBEYING the words of Jesus....
his NOT obeying Jesus is what is causing the house to be built on sand.

It's the man's ACTIONS that cause the foundation to be of rock or of sand.
OBEYING JESUS EQUALS A FOUNDATION OF ROCK.
NOT OBEYING JESUS EQUALS A FOUNDATION OF SAND.

The good foundation is obeying Jesus.
The bad foundation is not obeying Jesus.

It's not about foundations...
it's about obeying or not obeying Jesus.
Yep, I said this in so many words. However, you can also see it another way:

If the foundation isn’t on Jesus Christ, like so many man-made doctrines are, then they’re not being obedient, are they?

Same thing!

These are just your words, it doesn't address that doing what God deems as evil Neh13:17 Isa56:2 and what God deems as righteousness Isa56:1-2 stays that way Rev22:11. God personally invited everyone to join themselves to the LORD and serve Him Isa56:6 people just want to do this according to their will and not God's. Its the same story repeating itself over and over again Heb4:6 Heb3:7-19 Eze20:13 Eze 20:16 Heb4:11 Rev22:11

No, I and other Christians have shared GW (such as Rom. 3:21-5:5, Gal. 5:8 & 1Tim. 1:9) with you continually,
but you continually ignore it. Hopefully today is the day of salvation/entering God's Sabbath rest for you (Heb. 3:7-4:9).

None of those verses are teaching us not to practice righteousness. None of those verses isolates the 4th commandment as not being moral because Paul never put him in place of God to tell God anything, that not what a professed servant does. Rom1:1 they serve the Master the way the Master asks Isa56:6

1 John3:7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.

We are made righteous by faith, faith does not void the law of God it establishes it. Rom3:31 The faith part is what saves us, the obedience part shows if our faith is real or just lip service. James 1:22-24 Mat7:21-23 Luke6:46-48

We can be like the noble Bereans to judge whether, or not, something is true.

= Righteous judgment.

And this is done by comparing what they teach to God's Word which is what the Bereans were doing and Paul commended them for this under the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Those going around barking "thou shalt not judge" frequently do so in their feeble attempt to shut down the Bereans of today

And of course the Saturday peeps will claim these scripture don't disprove that Christians are required to have church on Saturday in order to be saved and not go to hell for going to church on the wrong day.

They can't seem to find the bible verse that says people go to hell for going to church on the wrong day but they're looking for it and will post it just as soon as they find it.

It doesn't say not to steal either so does that mean we can. What an interesting way to interpret Scripture.

So lets talk about the Great Commandments and what Jesus was quoting and what they included

Mat 22:27 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’

Which Jesus was quoting Old Testament Deut6:5 Lev 19:18

They are grounded in OT principles, not new ones.

When it comes to loving someone, is it based on what we feel on how we love someone or should it be based on what that person tells us is how to love them. In the case of God, He only taught loving Him with the accordance of keeping His commandments. So how can we love God with all our heart, soul and mind but not keep His commandments. The answer is plainly we can't. So to separate the greatest commandments to love God with our all, from the commandments where God tells us how to love Him, is sadly a very deceitful doctrine.

The first time God introduces this principle of how we are to love Him is right in the Testimony of God- the Ten Commandments - written by God Himself, spoken by God. God literally tells us how to love Him so its impossible to separate the greatest commandments from the commandments on how God tells us to love Him.

Exo 20:6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

If we look at the first time loving God with all our heart, mind and soul is stated, what was happening...

Right before entering the promise land, The Ten Commandments where love to God was written down by God Himself was repeated- 40 years after God have them His commandments both spoken by God and written by God to keep and teach their children to keep and their children in the land of milk and honey.

After they were repeated this was stated...

Deut 6:1 “Now this is the commandment, and these are the statutes and judgments which the Lord your God has commanded to teach you, that you may observe them in the land which you are crossing over to possess, 2 that you may fear the Lord your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments which I command you, you and your son and your grandson, all the days of your life, and that your days may be prolonged. 3 Therefore hear, O Israel, and [a]be careful to observe it, that it may be well with you, and that you may multiply greatly as the Lord God of your fathers has promised you—‘a land flowing with milk and honey.’

4 “Hear, O Israel: [b]The Lord our God, the Lord is one! 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

6 “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. 8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9 You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Keep God's commands in your heart
Teach them to your children
Talk about them daily
Let His Word guide your life constantly

And it includes the 4th commandment, because the greatest commandments to love God with all their heart, mind and soul was the condition of the Israelites receiving their inheritance:

Now this is the commandment, and these are the statutes and judgments which the Lord your God has commanded to teach you, that you may observe them in the land which you are crossing over to possess, 2 that you may fear the Lord your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments which I command you, you and your son and your grandson, all the days of your life, and that your days may be prolonged. 3 Therefore hear, O Israel, and [a]be careful to observe it, that it may be well with you, and that you may multiply greatly as the Lord God of your fathers has promised you—‘a land flowing with milk and honey.’
But what happened, did they love God with all their heart, mind and soul and received their inheritance?

Sadly many did not because....

Eze 20:15 So I also raised My hand in an oath to them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, ‘flowing with milk and honey,’ the glory of all lands, 16 because they despised My judgments and did not walk in My statutes, but profaned My Sabbaths; for their heart went after their idols.
The Sabbath is part of the greatest commandments to love God with all our heart, mind and soul. Profaning the Sabbath God relates to breaking another commandment- idol worship because we are replacing the words of God with another voice.

The devil is trying to take away our inheritance as well that we have not yet entered Rev22:14KJV. Will we listen to the same voices that deceived those in the wilderness we are told not to follow in their example of disobedience Heb4:11 or will we join ourselves to the LORD Isa 56:6 and stay faithful to Him not forgetting something He asked us to Remember. Exo20:8-11 and keep if we love Him Exo20:6 both written and spoken by God. God tells us how to love Him- will we believe Him is the bigger question or go one loving Him and serving Him based on our own desires and not the way He asked.

It doesn't say not to steal either so does that mean we can.

This is an un-biblical argument- there is no such thing as the 9 commandment. Deut 4:13 Its un-biblical for a reason forgetting the one commandment God told us not to. Sounds like what deceived our first parents doing the opposite of what God said.

Right after the death of Christ, after Jesus ratified His covenant by His death, what is the first thing we see, so people do not come up with these wild conclusions.

Luke 23:56 Then they returned and prepared spices and fragrant oils. And they rested on the Sabbath according to the commandment.

Still a commandment of God.

Heb 4:4 For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”;

What is being repeated that God spoke of the seventh day in this way:

Exo20:1 And God spoke all these words, saying:

8 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

Heb4:9There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God;

And the rest in this verse literally means keeping the Sabbath

Original Word: σαββατισμός
Part of Speech: Noun, Masculine
Transliteration: sabbatismos
Pronunciation: sab-bat-is-mos'
Phonetic Spelling: (sab-bat-is-mos')
sabbatismos: Sabbath rest
Definition: Sabbath rest
Meaning: a keeping of the Sabbath, a Sabbath rest.

Why those who enter Christ rest also rest from their works Heb4:10 as God did on the seventh day Heb4:4

Its not that the Scriptures are not clear, its the same issue as those who came before us:

Heb 4:2 For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.

What about the 10 Suggestions?

It's all cool for Christians to lie, steal, do idolatry, adultery, etc etc?

When one says "we are not under the law" they fail to understand that in the New Covenant we are under the Law of Christ, aka the Doctrine of Christ and there are some does and don't involved.

Except of course for the greasy grace people who claim all future sins have already been forgive and they claim when Christians sin God cannot see it so it matters not if Christians live in sin because we are in Christ now and God has no idea if we are sinning or not

Obviously the devil has had a lot of fun with the greasy grace people
The idea that without law is a license to sin is completely inaccurate one I have never heard any protest that Christianity teach that it's okay to send because we're not under the law

If you never had the law of Moses ever in history we would still have various moral laws like do not murder steal commit adultery Etc the Mosaic law is not the end all to the definition of law it is an isolated subset of rules to a religious people for the purpose of being able to communicate with God effectively and to stand apart from the other nations

You're right people in the first days after the crucifixion who for 1500 years had been following the Mosaic law didn't immediately dump it because it was part of their culture it's who they were. To use this as an excuse or reason that it is still enforce is completely misunderstand what's actually happening.

Again people who are torah keepers and are not actual Jews or Israelites clearly do not understand the Mosaic law and by proxy because they didn't understand that they do not understand the completed work of Christ on the cross

Paul becomes an adversary to these people because over 40 times he intonates the passing and fading of the Mosaic law and never once suggests that anybody follow the Mosaic law while he himself did he did that specifically for a reason which he tells us was to be able to minister to the Jews he became a Jew

There is not one verse in the Bible that I have seen, and I was involved in Hebrew roots for a couple years so I'm not speaking blindly about this subject, that suggest in any way that the Mosaic law is binding on anybody of the Gentiles

This theology lives and breathes off of Matthew 5:17 which if you read it all it's saying is the tanak is not going to disappear and more importantly it's referring to the entire tanak not just the Mosaic law. (I.e law and the phrophets)

Nowhere in Matthew 5:17 is it referring to anything about it being binding it's only referring to its existence and by this we know it's true because even the Christians include the entire tanak in their Bible even though they don't include the Mosaic law as part of their theology

To the point people who think that they are Christian and that the Mosaic law must be followed are believing a heretical theology. And heretical meaning something that is taught against the basic Orthodoxy of Christianity which following the Mosaic law as a requirement is completely against the basic Orthodoxy

Even more so that pretty much 99% of the people that I know that are committed to Hebrew roots and similar theologies believe they have some secret knowledge that they have some special thing that they're getting from God it's funny that they don't see this for what it is which is a theology cooked up by Lucifer himself and actually is a pretty intelligent theology. Those were not steeped and Christian belief system and theology can easily fall prey to this

We know that the Mosaic law stipulates that you follow all 613 laws or those of which apply to you I mean obviously if you're not a levite priest you don't have to practice those laws but otherwise how much more of an evidence that God has caused the Mosaic law to Fade Into Obscurity than to realize there is no levitical priesthood there is no Temple and there is no sacrifices and therefore exactly what do you think you're following

I was wondering about these persons that post that we must obey The Law.
Is this something new?
I don't understand how it could even be possible.
It's not because you can't follow all of the law we don't have a temple of levitical priest or sacrifices it was a heresy dealt with in the first century by Paul and the apostles I believe acts 15 was the reference

Show me where the number 613 is in Scripture. Why elevate that over the Biblical number God gave Deut4:13 Exo34:28 There is too much personal commentary for my liking. I can go line by line of Mat5:17-30 but you will probably not like what Jesus is teaching here.
