The ones who changed God's times and laws- God Sabbath Dan7:25 He warned us about that sadly most follow without even realizing it.I asked you WHO are the persons outside of scripture that you mentioned.
I don't know WHO you're speaking of.
You will not find this in our Bibles. Jesus said He is Lord of the Sabbaths, He is not the 4th commandment.Jesus IS the Sabbath.
So we can covet? Not honor our mother and father? Do evil according to the LORD? There is no Scripture that says what you're claiming. Noah was a servant of the LORD and a servant serves the LORD the way the LORD asks Isa56:6 invited to everyone because God's commandments are for God's people Rev14:12- His version, not mans.Last points:
1. The Noahic Laws were for all mankind.
- Not to worship idols
- Not to curse God.
- Not to commit murder.
- Not to commit adultery or sexual immorality.
- Not to steal
- Not to eat flesh torn from a living animal
- To establish courts of justice.
So the first sentence of this bad translations says the Sabbath belongs to Me- not Jews- God. I will go with this translation even though its not word for word which is what I prefer.2. The OT commandments were for the Jews only:
Exodus 31:12-18 CEV
The Sabbath belongs to me. Now I command you and your descendants to always obey the laws of the Sabbath. By doing this, you will know that I have chosen you as my own. 14-15 Keep the Sabbath holy. You have six days to do your work, but the Sabbath is mine, and it must remain a day of rest. If you work on the Sabbath, you will no longer be part of my people, and you will be put to death.
16Every generation of Israelites must respect the Sabbath. 17 This day will always serve as a reminder, both to me and to the Israelites, that I made the heavens and the earth in six days, then on the seventh day I rested and relaxed.
18When God had finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two flat stones on which he had written all his laws with his own hand.
When is God relating this to:
17 This day will always serve as a reminder, both to me and to the Israelites, that I made the heavens and the earth in six days, then on the seventh day I rested and relaxed.
Back to Creation when God said the Sabbath started
Exo 20: 11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
God made the seventh day and the Sabbath day interchangeable from Creation. He made man on the sixth day before the very first Sabbath, before Jew, before Israel, before Levi- Just man and God, the Sabbath was made for mankind Mark2:27-28 for everyone Isa56:6 its not that our LORD is not clear is believing His Words.
The God of Creation is the only God we are called to worship and we can't separate Creation from the Sabbath, the LORD of the Sabbath- our Creator Col1:16
Rev 14:7 saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.”
Are you not a son/daughter of God and heir to the promises? If Israel was meant only to be literal these would say Adam.We are not descendants of the Israelites.
Exo 4:22 Then you shall say to Pharaoh, 'Thus says the LORD: "Israel is My son, My firstborn.
Hos 11:1 "When Israel was a child, I loved him, And out of Egypt I called My son.
Isa 56:1 Thus saith the LORD:
5 Even to them I will give in My house
And within My walls a place and a name
Better than that of sons and daughters;
I will give them an everlasting name
That shall not be cut off.
6 “Also the sons of the foreigner
Who join themselves to the LORD, to serve Him,
And to love the name of the LORD, to be His servants—
Everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath,
And holds fast My covenant—
Gal 3:26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Jesus is God - He never came to destroy His own laws that are in heaven under His mercy seat Rev11:19 not a jot or tittle can pass why He taught breaking the least of these commandments and teaching others is the wrong direction Mat5:17-30- Jesus who is God same God as the OT told mankind to live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God quoting from the OT instead of deleting what God said Mat4:4 the greatest commandments are the Ten Commandments summarized where God tells us how we are to love Him Exo20:6 why His name not anyone else is in the first four commandments. Will not be responding ot any other posts about keeping the Sabbath.
It is your right to do so and It's the right of others to follow their conscience.
Exo 20:1 And God spoke all these words, saying:
2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of [a]bondage.
3 “You shall have no other gods before Me.
4 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; 5 you shall not bow down to them nor [b]serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting[c] the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, 6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
7 “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
I wish you well.
