What is the correlation between Satan and Music?

These are very interesting questions, and ones I ponder frequently. I don't know the lore behind Satan and music lol, but like everything, I know he tries to pervert things that were once created to honor and glorify God.

Personally, I believe all genres can be pure and then corrupted by Satan, but the corruption comes to play according to who is making the muic and what their intentions are. I've heard a few (and I'm sure there's many more) artists of today (all known for different genres) coming out as practicing witches. Even if their songs don't sound inappropriate, I still believe that just as a professing follower of Jesus would devote their song and anything they do to God, then the person on the opposite side is probably devoting their music and works to Satan too.

An X Factor winner by the name Altiyan Childs, came out some years back and made a 5 hour video exposing that basically everyone big in the music, entertainment, and political industry, belonged to a publicly accepted yet deceptive Satan worshipping secret society called Freemasonry. In his video he talked about how they all (including him) put hidden imagery in their music, speeches, actions, and buildings to show one thing to the public but in reality was to bring forth a discustingly disturbing plan that showed their dedication to serving Satan.

Now, regardless if someone chooses to believe his confession, it is evident Satan has his hands in music that promotes anything that goes against God's standard for righteousness: profanity, belittling others, praising provocative gestures and sinful behaviors, cursing God, etc

Listening to such music and watching the music videos that do such things, slowly desensitizes us to sin. Certain sins start to look appealing and less damaging. Then there's the mindset of even if we personally wouldn't do certain sins, we won't feel the need to guide others who would away from doing them. We become indifferent. We start looking at the artist's flawed ideals as inspiration for handling situations rather than looking to what God says

A lot of media has an agenda to normalize sin, but just because something is the norm, doesn't mean it's right. We as followers of Christ shouldn't entertain sin in any form it takes, including music

A couple decades ago there was a fairly popular folk singer in my area, who said all the right things and sang popular folk songs. But with a little checking I learned that she closely associated with many individuals that were known to be involved in satanic worship. Long story short, it was discovered that she was a key part of the satanic group's outreach scheme, she would lure people in by weaving spells into her songs and thus attract people without being obvious.

As much as pseudo-christian carnal young adults might want to justify their favorite genre, you can't put "Christian lyrics" on Industrial, Black, Thrash, Doom, Metal, etc and honestly say it glorifies the Lord.
The music is chaotic, harsh, imparts harmful hormonal responses, and the "singers" try their hardest to sound like demon possessed freaks projectile vomiting.
There are kinds of music that non-christians would definitely say is Satanic.

I sometimes wonder about the music I pump out with artificial intelligence using my voice with an AI edit to my voice.

There are so many opinions.

I wonder if there is scripture backing up the kind of music that should be produced.

I understand that we are to be holy and so the music a Christian creates should probably be holy as well.

For a few weeks or a month now, I’ve been creating Christian electronic music that sounds like modern electronic music with Christian lyrics.

Do I feel holy when I make it? No

Can it potentially earn me some money? Maybe

Do I feel somewhat of a Judas for earning money off of biblical and personal stories turned into lyrics? I did for a second until Magenta reminded me that work is good.

Do I think it sounds “cool” and can attract certain people to the faith? Maybe

@HealthAndHappiness i love a lot of your posts. I met you on here in fall of 2024 and I think over time, after your grieving period, your responses have become more sound over time.

If I for some reason start feeling convicted that making the music I’m making is leading people to hell, then for sure, I’d definitely stop.

I wonder what others will say about this thread topic.

I think my music may have harmful hormonal responses but I can’t identify what those are besides maybe high cortisol.

Sometimes I think of the Psalms that speak of anguish in the tune of heavy metal and then when the author is tasting the hand of God’s intervention and they get some relief from their sorrow, the tune turns light and mellow

Then we should look at the biblical principles that apply to all things in life to determine for ourselves.

That said, there are some genres that are obvious. You aren't into this, but I've heard things friends sent me before that were called Christian metal, etc.
You just can't put lipstick on a pig and make it pretty. Lol
