Moses was the mediator of the law of God and law the of Moses, it doesn't make what God said in His own written and spoke Testimony not true

Exo 20:6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

In the New Covenant- Jesus is the Mediator - same law of God. Who better to define God's own commandments than God Himself and He did both written and spoken by God directly.

Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

Now we must understand something deeper. Grace did not begin when we believed. Grace began with God.
God saw the world in sin, and He did not leave us there. In His mercy, He sent His Son so that we might live.
Jesus did not come for His own comfort. He came to save. He knew the suffering that was ahead, yet He still came.
In the garden, He said, “Not my will, but thine, be done.” (Luke 22:42, ASV)

This is grace in its clearest form. Jesus gave His life for us. He suffered, He was rejected, and He died so that we could be brought back to God. This was not easy. This was not light. This was love that cost everything. So we can say this plainly: Jesus is grace made visible. But if grace cost Him everything, how can it mean nothing for us?
If He gave His life to free us from sin, how can we say we are free to remain in sin?
Grace is not permission. Grace is a rescue.

Look at another example. There was a tax collector named Zacchaeus. He was a dishonest man, taking more than he should. When Jesus came to him, He did not first give a long teaching. He simply came near to him. That is grace. But what happened next?
In Luke 19:8 (ASV), Zacchaeus says: “Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have wrongfully exacted aught of any man, I restore fourfold.” Grace touched his heart, and his life changed immediately. He did not say, “I believe,” and continue cheating people. He turned from his sin.
And Jesus answered, “Today is salvation come to this house.” (Luke 19:9, ASV)

Salvation came where there was both faith and a changed life. A man once came to Jesus asking about eternal life. Jesus did not say, “Just believe and you are done.” He said, “If thou wouldest enter into life, keep the commandments.” (Matthew 19:17, ASV)

Grace does not remove obedience. It leads into it.

Jesus also gave a warning that many ignore.
In Matthew 7:21 (ASV):
“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father.”
These are people who speak His name, but do not follow His ways.

And He asks in Luke 6:46 (ASV): “Why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?”

This question reveals the truth. Words are not enough. Faith must be lived.
Jesus made it simple with a picture.

Two men built houses. One on rock, one on sand.
Both heard His words.
But only one obeyed.
The one who obeyed stood firm. The one who did not fell.
So the difference is not hearing. It is doing.

Think again about what many say today.

They say grace means no obedience.
They say nothing is required.
They say a changed life is not necessary.

But if that were true, why did Jesus call people to repent? Why did He command obedience? Why did He warn of judgment?
The truth is clear.

Grace calls you out of sin, not into comfort with sin.

Think of it this way.
A man is drowning, and someone jumps into the water to save him, at great cost. That is grace.
But once he is pulled out, will he jump back in and say, “I am safe no matter what”? No. If he understands what was done for him, he will stay out of the water.

Jesus did not suffer so we could stay the same.He suffered so we could be changed.

So what is the truth?

Grace begins with God’s love.
Grace is seen in Jesus giving His life.
Grace forgives.
Grace calls.
Grace transforms.

Faith is not just words. It is a life that follows Him. As He said,
“If ye love me, ye will keep my commandments.” (John 14:15, ASV)

Do not accept a weak message that leaves you unchanged. Do not hold to a grace that asks nothing from you.
Come to the grace that Jesus gives. The grace that lifts you, cleans you, and leads you into a new life.

Turn from sin. Walk in His ways. Follow Him with your whole life. This is the grace that leads to life.

To remind you of what I really do believe let me just say that I do not believe Antinomianism which is the teaching that a Christian can live a life of continual sin and still enter the eternal Kingdom. As the Messiah Himself said:

…45 But suppose that servant says in his heart, ‘My master will be a long time in coming,’ and he begins to beat the menservants and maidservants, and to eat and drink and get drunk. 46The master of that servant will come on a day he does not expect and at an hour he does not anticipate. Then he will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers.

This servant who had initially obeyed his Lord took a different path and fell into habitual sin - getting drunk, abusing other servants and then died without repenting. The Lord changed his destiny - assigning him to the same penalty suffered by those who never believed.
Notice that the servant was not judged for not keeping the terms of the Mosaic Covenant (like keeping Shabbat) but for breaking the covenant he had with the Lord Jesus by committing violence and abuse. So no - I am not saying people can defy the Lord, I just believe the covenant of Moses has been rendered OBSOLETE by the blood sacrifice of the Lamb of God. We obtain the benefits of the New Covenant through putting our faith in Him not by keeping the Law.

The issue is not that God was not clear, the issue is not taking Him for His Word and living by what He told us to Mat4:4

When the author of Kings called the Body of Laws received by Moses THE LAW OF MOSES was he trying to make Moses the AUTHOR of those laws? Clearly not. Jesus Christ has His own commandments which were far deeper than those which came from Moses. For instance, six times in
Matthew 5 Jesus introduces statements with, "You have heard it said...But I say to you” In each of these statements in the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus claims to have a higher authority than the scribes. The Lord, as the original giver of the law, was expounding on the law, BRINGING OUT THE FULL DEPTH AND SCOPE OF ITS MEANING.

For instance, after quoting the Mosaic Law’s prohibition of murder (Matthew 5:21). Jesus says, “But I say to you” following this with an explanation that a person didn’t have to physically commit murder to be guilty of murder. A person is guilty of murder in his heart even if he were only angry with his brother (Matthew 5:22). This command did not come from Moses but from Jesus.

In this way, the laws governing prior covenants are not "VOIDED out" they are realized in the hearts and minds of NC believers according to the inner working of the Holy Spirit who is an indispensable part of God's promise to new covenant believers. The Spirit enlightens us by giving us insight into our motives and assures us that He can change us. You treat the Law as a book of rules you think you can follow. Ever since our 2023 Former Adventist Conference two weeks ago, I have been pondering Paul Carden’s assessment of Seventh-day Adventism which he articulated during his talk on Friday evening. In evaluating the facts that Adventism has a false prophet, a false Jesus, and an incomplete atonement which equals a false gospel, Paul concluded that Seventh-day Adventism is a “clever and dangerous spiritual counterfeit”.

So can you imagine that former adventists have a conference? Ex Adventists take this cult very seriously because of the harm it does and how badly it follows scripture while proclaiming they are all about scripture.

I love that word “counterfeit” as a descriptor of the religion in which I grew up. By nature, a counterfeit mimics the real thing. In fact, the counterfeiter goes to great lengths to ensure that the counterfeit of the real bears no obvious deviations from the real; to discern the differences, one must look below the surface and evaluate details that can only be discovered by side-by-side comparison and even microscopic examination.

Adventism really is a counterfeit. It has done such a good job of whitewashing its image and its public statements of belief that both Christians and Adventists think they are essentially the same with the exception that they worship on different days, and Adventists have food restrictions. Yet even Adventist food rules don’t seem unusual in today’s culture in which “clean eating” and plant-based meats are flourishing.

Yeah, the Bible is specific about the promises given to Abraham: the Seed that would bless the whole world must come through his line.

And then get this: "The law was added because of transgressions." These transgressions occurred at Sinai: the people would not come close to God. In their stead they sent Moses. The whole nation of Israel was to become priests and kings under the promises given to Abraham. Instead, because of transgressions, God establish the Mosaic/Levitical priesthood whereby only one tribe of Israelites were the priests.

The Sinai Law was a stop gap to protect the people from destruction until the Seed would come. Among other things it provided limits to the reach of sin. Ultimately, for those paying attention, it made the Jews desperate for a Messiah... the Seed... Christ. But once Christ appeared the law was no longer necessary: those with faith in Christ could die to the law and remain a living sacrifice to God by surrendering their lives to Him.

Jesus Christ has His own commandments which were far deeper than those which came from Moses. For instance, six times in
Matthew 5 Jesus introduces statements with, "You have heard it said...But I say to you” In each of these statements in the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus claims to have a higher authority than the scribes. The Lord, as the original giver of the law, was expounding on the law, BRINGING OUT THE FULL DEPTH AND SCOPE OF ITS MEANING.

For instance, after quoting the Mosaic Law’s prohibition of murder (Matthew 5:21). Jesus says, “But I say to you” following this with an explanation that a person didn’t have to physically commit murder to be guilty of murder. A person is guilty of murder in his heart even if he were only angry with his brother (Matthew 5:22). This command did not come from Moses but from Jesus.

In this way, the laws governing prior covenants are not "VOIDED out" they are realized in the hearts and minds of NC believers according to the inner working of the Holy Spirit who is an indispensable part of God's promise to new covenant believers. The Spirit enlightens us by giving us insight into our motives and assures us that He can change us. You treat the Law as a book of rules you think you can follow. If had the Spirit you would understand what Jesus said about the Vine:
4 Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me. 5 I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing.…
(John 15:4-5)

Jesus is God there is no dichotomy between the two or their laws, this is sadly a very deceptive teaching. As if Jesus taught go commit adultery as long as you don't have lust in your heart. He plainly taught not to break or teach others to break the least of these commandments and said its the path to sin and judgement Mat5:19-30
