The traditions of men bring death.

Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death: But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free. And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother; Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye. (Mark 7)

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. (Col. 2)

Indeed. But know that THIS, right there, right now, is the only true church - where two or more are gathered in his (not White's) name.

It's a shame. If we believers had half the moxie that SDA's have, we wouldn't be in this mess.

ROFL @SNAP! CRACKLE! POP!

...and that's a dead giveaway to the cultish nature of SDA. Every denomination flies its own "denominational distinctive" - their own freak flag - to draw in the unsuspecting. It's "Gee Whiz" theology, a trap for young players.

As with me, hopefully she has learned her lesson.
Are you are former member of that remnant church?

Raised by Protestant parents to attend, in suit and tie, weekly "services." I knew something was wrong then, with the hypocrisy and all the rest of it, and I know it's wrong today. I was even elected class President at a parochial school (I was a jock and a nice guy, strictly a popularity contest).

God sorted me out later in life, age 45. Had an incredible encounter with Jesus Christ at a time when demons were all over me because of my wicked double life. I did a 180 and have never looked back. Thank you, Jesus!

I once walked into a church and everyone were wearing formal attire.

I was so embarrassed because I was wearing a t-shirt and shorts.

It is not difficult to see through the tradition and theology of so many church denominations.

I guess, when your born into a denomination and everyone you know belongs in that church
movement. It would be so difficult to even point out the issues let alone leave that church.

So glad the Lord opened your eyes.

I know the drill, pinebeach.

Whether the Sunday law comes into effect has nothing to do with your disobedience to the literal,
4th commandment.

Mark or no mark you worship the devil or the first beast anyway.

Do you understand?

yup

You SDA people are sincere but you proclaim a false gospel. It seems to get worse actually
Your are right ! From your delusional decepted viewpoint, Truth is is a Lie ...
"in a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act" ~ Venturino Venturini

But, I can do no more, nor no less ... for you... SAD !!

The anti-Christ for 500+ years has had the philosophy of, "If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it" ... widely attributed to Joseph Goebbels, Adolf Hitler's Minister of Propaganda.

Isaiah 5:20 describes this deceptive pattern by declaring, "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil; who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter."

Anyone here wanting to watch an excellent presentation of "Present Truth" on the understanding of these
"Last Day Events" so that what is coming upon the Earth, doesn't take you by surprise, as Satan would have it.,

Watch any of the following videos ..

They give the Bible Truth about this battle going on in the World, between Good & Evil ...
These videos are more entertaining and spiritually advantageous, than anything Helly-Wood puts out...

Mostly, it's because the parents are ignorant of the spiritual dynamics of open doors i.e. generational spirits that have come down their family line and are now beginning to infect their children.

Open doors is a good way to describe it.
Yeah, I can see that from your posts. So was (am) I.

Yeah we get to keep our sanctified personalities.

Interesting too, that we knew that what we were doing was not pleasing to God, but we did it anyway.

My excuse was my gripe was not against God. It's been a journey.

Yes, it goes back to that "It's Showtime!" "church" production. "Let's worship the worship team!"

I said no more than once to opportunities others would have jumped at. I'm not into showmanship and today there is not much so called 'worship' music I actually like.

This is so tragic. There isn't an establishment religion that wants me around once they find out I'm involved in getting ppl set free. If a "church" has no deliverance ministry, it's guaranteed the church is full of demons. Those nicolaitans don't want me around because they would be faced with losing "both their place and nation" (John 11:48) i.e. their $tatu$ and their $tuff.

Oh listen...if you want to pick up a demon or two just go to church and accept everything especially if is a charasmatic or a church that speaks against the gifts. Can you imagine the gasps from some people reading this?

Indeed. But know that THIS, right there, right now, is the only true church - where two or more are gathered in his (not White's) name.

Amen. I am blessed to see a good number of godly people tuning into this thread.

Oh I dunno  Is being obnoxious and lying constantly and twisting or ignoring what people say to you to be emulated?

ROFL @SNAP! CRACKLE! POP!

I don't know how much of this thread you have read, but mr cereal was (sorry) quite insane and you can read about his musings to this very day and purchase his literary efforts still if you have the stomach for it.

Rob you're going to give yourself a trip to the emergency if you don't calm down. Ambulances are getting quite expensive these
days so there's that too.

Same here. I have had an incredibly varied life. But one thing still yet on my bucket list is to learn to play guitar. So I finally got a good guitar, but after a bit more research, I discovered that all the learning modalities utilize modern and/or secular music. I don't wanna be a "rock star" !!!

“All music should have no other end and aim than the glory of God and the soul's refreshment; where this is not remembered there is no real music but only a devilish hubbub.” - J. S. Bach

They get an A for Ambition and an F for Fruit.

But we are to "be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves" - WHOA!

Dunno about a Mr. Cereal (just as well).

Yeah, it's not a church. It's a corporation.

The SDA church itself is now a large denomination that has become just what it originally reviled. It is now just another incorporated 501(c)(3) government licensed religious entity. The ELLEN G. WHITE ESTATE INCORPORATED, which is itself a government licensed non-profit corporation accruing tax free royalties from her writings, zealously defends her work and the efficacy of her "original" teachings. Thus, the institutionalization has reached full bloom and the once vibrant movement is now thoroughly set in its dogma and unwilling to hear a true word from the Lord. It's presently trying to raise $1,000,000 for 2026.

I believe all denominations are now barren from the Spirit of the Lord and support through attendance and $$$ should immediately cease. The Seventh Day Adventist church is no exception.

It's "Gee Whiz" theology, a trap for young players.

Your right ... Parts of the official "SDA Conference" is very much criticized by many of us foundational, fundamental Ellen White and Adventist Pioneer believing Church members. "Parts", as in some officials of the "Adventist Official organization" are actually, saying we need to go along ( to get along) with this Worlds Ecumenical Movement.

Jesus says "to be of the World, but not IN the World", as in don't fraternize with the Enemy, these Satan deceived world religious organizations. We local SDA's here mostly Home Church, as God's Remnant Church will have to as persecution of God People, His Church becomes more apparent, as World event's become increasingly sever. Like as in catastrophic.

Those videos I recommended by Doug Batchelor are still excellent TRUTH... Batchelor has been criticized by the Conference for being, too out outspokenly critical of the Papacy, as has Conrad Vine and Walter Veith, all leading SDA pastor, standing up for Jesus and Truth, while the Conference has become more "Worldly".

Christ's Remnant Church;

You are so right. (funny dream though...) The focus on being special (they are but not in the way they think) and the desire for power but also power over others, is always on the menu. They also like a side of authority over others and nothing better than creating a fearful atmosphere to control those 'others'.

The 'monster' created does, in the end, go after them. (spiritual force behind the illusion)
Jn 4:45 Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses, in whom you have put your hope.

Jn 4:46 If you had believed Moses, you would believe Me, because he wrote about Me.

Jn 4:47 But since you do not believe what he wrote, how will you believe what I say?”

Even as a child, I must've been about 5, I understood there was a 'higher' message within it. In the end, I escaped the monster by way of holding on to a single red balloon that grew and grew until it was bigger than me and lifted me off of the balcony that would've otherwise been only a 'dead end.' I tried to help my mother who was with me to escape also, offering her one little red balloon after another, which she accepted one after another, except that they only accumulated into a big bunch of little red balloons held in her hand, none of them growing any larger in the same way as the one that I had which carried me away from the monster. She was left on the balcony with all those little red balloons, doing nothing much impressive.

You see how I've never managed to shrug that dream off even 50 years later?

No, that is incorrect.
How is this incorrect? The Scripture doesn’t teach this. Please do quote some verses.

If you wanted to cancel the power of the Holy Spirit in the O.T and in the N.T, you would need a
substantial number of verses at a minimum.
What does this even mean? Why would anyone want to cancel the power of Him? Please do elaborate with ScriptureS.
1 Corinthians 13:9
For we know in part and we prophesy in part; but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away.

1 Corinthians 13:12
For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just
as I also have been fully known.

The 'perfect and the face to face' comes which is not Paul's letter to the Corinthians.
What is your point here?

The scripture is nowhere near perfect far from it.

1 Corinthians 4:20
For the kingdom of God does not consist in words but in power.
God’s word is perfect.

OF COURSE there would be "in house disputes." That's the curse of all humanistic organizations. But still, it's all taking place under the same wicked worldly structure!

Satan is a sneaky SOB, Rob7. We need every advantage we can muster; if we do not "overcome," then we will perish. You're obviously ambitious. But our natural tendency is to commiserate with other flesh, which only weakens our intended position on The Rock and the unique calling that God has placed on each one of us - INCLUDING YOU. There is only one Rob7, AND YOU'RE IT! Don't waste it! We gotta be making the best of what we have been commissioned by the King to do. And "group/corporate think" won't cut it. Another vid won't cut it. Joining a corp won't cut it. Following other men (or women) won't cut it; bringing in EGW can only result in less White. Can you envision a genuinely fruitful life that is not connected to a beast-licensed corporation?

The Lord didn't tell us to settle for a bible study in the basement of the brothel. He commanded us to build our own city on a hill.

"Parts", as in some officials of the "Adventist Official organization" are actually, saying we need to go along ( to get along) with this Worlds Ecumenical Movement.
Yep, as the SDA Inc. signed up to the beast's program and so is required to jump through whatever hoops the beast demands if the corp wants the benefit$. This is how the camel gets his nose into the tent.

We local SDA's here mostly Home Church, as God's Remnant Church will have to as persecution of God People, His Church becomes more apparent, as World event's become increasingly sever. Like as in catastrophic.
Do you know the biblical meaning of a church (not a building, corp, or other dead thing)? It's the ekklesia, the body of Christ, the believers - and no corporate pretenders or bench warmers.

We local SDA's here mostly Home Church, as God's Remnant Church
Try separating yourself from the "we" group-think. It will NOT be a good thing to spout that when one stands before the King.

Those videos I recommended by Doug Batchelor are still excellent TRUTH...
If God can use an ass (Balaam's, Num. 22) to save someone, he can certainly use a Batchelor vid. But that's not the point. Why consume junk food when you can feast on the pure words of God? Satan knows that you are not a threat when your diet is depleted of essential nutrients.

Batchelor has been criticized by the Conference for being, too out outspokenly critical of the Papacy, as has Conrad Vine and Walter Veith, all leading SDA pastor, standing up for Jesus and Truth, while the Conference has become more "Worldly".
...just more political maneuvering - each one trying to preserve his slice of the corporate pie.

No, but there is something amiss with being embarrassed if one has not "dressed up a bit." IOW, are we God pleasers, or man pleasers?

Also, cleanliness is good, but fashionable-ness is of the world.

Meanwhile, the corp's are preening for "Showtime!"

Wow, is there something wrong with dressing up a bit to worship our God and Savior?

...with dressing up a bit to worship...

I am talking about a full suit and the women in formal dress.

Not ..."dressing up a bit"...

That one church was the only church I have ever attended where every one, was wearing formal attire.

God’s word is perfect.

View attachment 287881

Your under the impression that when the scripture arrives (N.T.) then the partial is done away with.

1 Corinthians 13:9
For we know in part and we prophesy in part; but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away.

1 Corinthians 13:12
For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just
as I also have been fully known.

Paul says in his "perfect letter" to the Corinthians that when the perfect comes...

How can a perfect letter that Paul wrote be talking about a future event, when the perfect comes...

How can the perfect letter to the Corinthians tell the Corinthians to seek the greater gifts?

That is a paradox?

Your interpretation is logically unsound.

The OP has not mentioned what church or denomination that she may be affiliated with.
Ellen White was formerly a Methodist (the Methodist church was a splinter church of the Church of England).

King Henry VIII started the Church of England in the 1530s because he could not get a divorce.

Help me Lord.

Then Ellen White became a Millerite; a follower of the prophet William Miller.

The Methodist church evicted Ellen White from fellowship for Ellen's association with the Millerites.

The Methodist church among other churches regarded William Miller as a false prophet.

Alas, when William Miller's prophecy was proven false.

Individuals prior to and immediately surrounding Ellen G. White, notably Hiram Edson and other
Millerite leaders, pioneered the concept that Jesus moved to the heavenly sanctuary in 1844. They
developed this doctrine immediately after the "Great Disappointment" on October 22, 1844, to explain
why Jesus did not return.

Ellen White adopted this stance and with her husband started the SDA in 1863.
