I am convinced that Jesus will return 2,000 years after His Ascension. Since Jesus was crucified and ascended into heaven in the year 30 CE, this implies that He will return in 2030. More precisely, I believe that Jesus will return on Yom Teruah (the Feast of Trumpets) in 2030. In the Gregorian calendar, this corresponds to September 30, 2030.

Since Jesus is to return at the end of the Beast's 3.5-year reign, this means that the Beast's reign will begin 3.5 years prior to Jesus' return on Yom Teruah in 2030. Three and a half years before Yom Teruah 2030 would be the month of Sivan (the third month of the biblical calendar) in 2027. In the Gregorian calendar, this corresponds to June 2027.

Therefore, if it is true that Jesus will return on September 30, 2030, then it follows that the Beast's reign must begin no later than June 2027. If the world has not changed dramatically by June 2027, then one can conclude that Jesus will not return in 2030.

it is not wrong to venture a guess on Jesus' return. by course, all Christians know that no one knows when Jesus shall return. & it certainly is a sin to preach on a return date. my 1st guess, obviously, was incorrect. back in 2000, i guessed Jesus would be here by 2020.

"The Holy One brought forth the soul of Messiah, and said to him, ‘Art thou willing to be created and to redeem my sons after 6,000 years?’ He replied, ‘I am.’ G~d replied, ‘If so, thou must take upon thyself chastisements in order to wipe away their iniquity, as it is written, ‘Surely our sicknesses he has carried.’ The Messiah answered, ‘I will take them upon me gladly.’" [P’Siqtha according to Hulsius in "Theologia Judaica"]

Babylonian Talmud: Tractate Sanhedrin

Folio 97a---------------------R. Kattina said: Six thousand years shall the world exist, and one [thousand, the seventh], it shall be desolate, as it is written, And the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.32

It has been taught in accordance with R. Kattina: Just as the seventh year is one year of release in seven, so is the world: one thousand years out of seven shall be fallow, as it is written, And the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day,' and it is further said, A Psalm and song for the Sabbath day,34 meaning the day that is altogether Sabbath — 35 and it is also said, For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past.36

"It was taught in the School of Elijah, the world will endure 6,000 years - 2,000 years in chaos, 2,000 with Torah, and 2,000 years will be the days of the Messiah." [Babylonian Talmud, Sanhedrin 97a]

You have provided no explanation for your assumption, drawn erroneous conclusions about prophetic Scripture, and built speculation upon this very sketchy foundation.

It's true that if we know when the 6th trumpet sounds, which would be a massive war in the middle east with 200 million soldiers (if we can take the interpretation of myriad literally), then we would know the lord's return is about 3.5 years from then. However, the first 5 trumpets would have to sound first. That would be 150 days for the 5th trumpet and who knows how long for the first 4 trumpets. So honestly, 2030 doesn't to be look that realistic.

What makes you believe this?
The short answer is because the works of the devil haven't been destroyed and all things have not become new.

If you desire the long answer with a fuller explanation, I'm happy to share but that will take some time.

Something to consider. From the onset of sin to Messiah was an interim of at least 4000 years. This was God's plan since Genesis 3, but God patiently spent at least 4 millenia working through figures and shadows to unveil Christ and deliver the real thing. Why would God spend so much time setting up His intended reality only to manifest that reality for a fraction of the time? That would be like writing a book where the introduction to the book was twice as long as the book itself. Does that make sense?

“And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:36-39‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.

Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭13:32-37‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

…. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:3-4, 8-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I'm convinced of this too, but maybe He ascended on AD 33, no 30, which means the Great Tribulation will be from 2030 to 2033.

It is for us to observe the signs and discern the times, always be watchful and prepared, not ignorant.

Jesus was not crucified in 33 CE, but in 30 CE, and I can prove this irrefutably:
Bible reports:
  • that Jesus was born before Herod died (Matt 2:20)
  • that Jesus began his ministry at the age of 30, when he was baptized in the 15th year of Tiberius' reign (Lk 3:1, 21-23)
  • that Jesus celebrated the first Passover of his ministry when the Herodian Temple was under construction for 46 years (Jhn 2:18-23)
  • that Jesus celebrated a total of 3 or 4 Passovers during his ministry (Dan 9:27; Jhn 2:13, 5:1, 6:4, 11:55)
  • that Jesus was crucified under Pontius Pilate, the governor of Judea (Matt 27:2)
  • that Jesus was crucified on Friday, Nisan 14 (Mk 15:42; Jhn 19:14)
  • that Jesus was crucified a full 40 years before the destruction of Jerusalem (Jon 3:4; Eusebius' Church History 3.7.9; Yoma 39b:5)
History reports:
  • that Herod died in March 4 BCE, which means that Jesus was born before March 4 BCE
  • that Tiberius' 15th year of reign was from 26 to 27 CE or from 27 to 28 CE (his co-princeps began in 12 or 13 CE), which means that Jesus was baptized sometime between 26 and 28 CE
  • that the Herodian Temple was under construction for 46 years in 27 or 28 CE (it began in 20 or 19 BCE), which means that Jesus celebrated the first Passover of his ministry in 27 or 28 CE
  • that Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea from 26 to 36 CE, which means that Jesus was crucified sometime between 26 and 36 CE
  • that between 28 and 33 CE, Nisan 14 fell on Friday only in 30 and 33 CE, which means that Jesus was crucified in 30 or 33 CE
  • that the siege of Jerusalem started on Nisan 14, 70 CE, and ended with the destruction of Jerusalem in Tammuz/Av of the same year, which means that Jesus was crucified in 30 CE
Conclusions:
  • since Jesus was crucified a full 40 years before the destruction of Jerusalem (30 CE) on Friday, Nisan 14 (30 or 33 CE), he was crucified on Nisan 14, 30 CE

This refers to the Jewish War between 66 and 70 CE. Jesus returned during that war, which even Flavius Josephus confirms. Flavius Josephus reports that Jesus actually returned with an army on clouds during the First Jewish-Roman War. Josephus writes in The Wars of the Jews, 6.296–6.299: "Besides these, a few days after that feast, on the one and twentieth day of the month Artemisius, [Jyar], a certain prodigious and incredible phenomenon appeared: I suppose the account of it would seem to be a fable, were it not related by those that saw it, and were not the events that followed it of so considerable a nature as to deserve such signals; for, before sunsetting, chariots and troops of soldiers in their armor were seen running about among the clouds, and surrounding of cities."

Well, we'll see it by June 2027. If nothing happens, then I was wrong. It's only a few months away. Time will tell.
