Once again you've collapsed justification & sanctification into the same category, which eliminates justification entirely & in doing so, your position ends up denying the Holy Spirit’s ability to save at all. If salvation ultimately depends on the believer's performance, then a person is only as secure as their best day. Salvation is built on a Rock & that Rock is our great God & Savior, Jesus the Christ!Again you ignore Rom. 11:22, 1Cor. 15:2, Col. 1:22-23, 2Thes. 1:4-5, 2Tim. 2:12, Heb. 3:6&14, 10:35-36, Jam. 1:12, 2Pet. 1:10-11, 2:20, 1John 2:24-25 and Rev. 2:10, but let us look at what you cited:
Matt. 3:11 & John 1:33 - Yes, Jesus baptizes believers with the HS, but this does not answer the question:
Is it possible per GW for someone with saving faith to repudiate Jesus and commit apostasy/blasphemy?
John 14:16-17 - Jesus said the Father would give his disciples the HS to be with them forever.
This needs to be harmonized with 1John 2:24-25, “See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you.
If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. And this is what he promised us—even eternal life.”
Harmonization: The HS will be with believers unless they do not remain in the Son and Father.
Rom. 8:2 - Paul said the law of the Spirit of life sets those who are in Christ free from the law of sin and death.
This needs to be harmonized with Rom. 11:22, “Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God:
sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off.”
Harmonization: The Spirit sets believers free, but they continue in His kindness in order to be saved.
Col. 1:27 - Yes, Christ is the hope of glory, but this does not answer the question.
Phil. 2:13 - God works in believers to will and act according to His will.
This needs to be harmonized with Col. 1:22-23, “But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation—if you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel.”
Harmonization: God works in believers to make them holy and blameless, if they continue in saving faith.
I hope you see how harmonization of Scripture is done.
Would you like to take a turn with some more of what you cited,
harmonizing them with verses I cited?
Titus 3 is says: God saved us ""not because of works of righteousness which we have done,"" but by the Holy Spirit's washing, regeneration & renewal poured out through Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1 says that the moment you heard the gospel & believed, God sealed you with the Holy Spirit of promise, His guarantee, not ours. Eph 4:30 says the Holy Spirit seals the believer until the day of redemption, not ""until you fail enough times."" Eph 2:8–9 says salvation is by grace through faith & no works allowed, so we cannot steal His glory with our performance. Our obedience fluctuates. His guarantee does not.
HOLY SPIRIT - given through faith Acts 10:45 & 11:17
ETERNAL LIFE - given through faith Rom 6:23 & Jn 5:24
RIGHTEOUSNESS - given through faith Rom 4:5 & 5:17–18
GRACE - given freely & received through faith Rom 3:24; 4:16; 5:1–2, 15, 11:6, Eph 2:5, 8
Every one of these salvation gifts is received by faith alone, not by performance, perseverance, or personal consistency. To borrow a line from an old Star Wars movie: ""I find your lack of faith disturbing.""
