I am going to say that exact prayer for myself. I am sure that the Heavenly Father has forgiven you. You definitely have a good heart that's for sure.
Basically , I asked for God to intervene and help , quite a lot of prayers about this over quite a long time . Anyhow , to my eyes , nothing changed so , I decided to step up and do something . Only when I did this , I found out that my eyes weren't telling the whole story . God did intervene and He did sort it but , my eyes couldn't c the change so I didn't think that He had helped . So I interfered where no interference was needed

2nd Corinthians 5:7- "for we walk by faith, not by sight". it's refreshing to see a Christian always on the alert to improve. good going suze! it took me decades to stop looking at pretty women with the intention of being with them. so for about the last 10 years, i'll look at a pretty woman & just say something like: "wow, God, that's a pretty woman you made".Basically , I asked for God to intervene and help , quite a lot of prayers about this over quite a long time . I didn't trust Him to answer my prayer , I assumed that He hadn't because my eyes didn't c the change but , He had indeed sorted it all out .
I walked by sight , not by faith .
I learned , if u give something to God in prayer , u then have to leave it with Him . Don't try to take it back and sort it yourself . So , in future I will b very careful about what I pray for . If I ask God for help I then have to b prepared to take a big step back , keep my nose out and trust Him to answer my prayer . I sincerely hope I have learned this lesson
