Rename the News Forum, the "politics forum"

This sounds like a "nobody likes what I post" complaint. Nobody is making you click on political posts, and perhaps people just aren't interested in some of the things that you are. Thankfully there's a forum here where you can pick and choose what you want.

Gotta remember that if they Killed Jesus for "disinformation" and Fake news when he was doing bona fide miracles....how much easier it is for them to disappear the likes of you and I?

And contrary to popular opinion....Jesus was one of the least successful messiahs running about in Israel in respect to numbers of followers. 200 instead of 25,000....
That is very very problematic. Keep your wits about you.

Even with miracles and they had a hard time, nevermind if you try to be peaceful in trying to say a message.

Most people are uncomfortable hearing the truth. And, Jesus was not an ear-tickler.
 
Been a few years and my stance hasn’t changed. The news forum is basically just political posts and barely any actual news unless it involves politicians.

Maybe post the news you're interested in, ignore the news you don't care about? 'News' can encompass many topics, so the title seems fine the way it is.

Apparently, according to you...if we don't "do something" God is either unwilling or unable to do something that needs to be done.
So you are still in favor of trying to advise God in what He needs to do. Or you are wanting to be a Saul...a "hand of judgement" that is like the tribe of Dan...getting left out of Heaven. (tribe not mentioned in Revelations)
And God was very clear with David, Saul, and Sampson with what they were supposed to do...It wasn't "subject to interpretation" or some other nonsense.

I am not in harmony with promoting perversion to children...of course not.
But I also don't see a need with "book burning and banning" because of some sort of shrill shreeker screaming at the top of their lungs at a school board meeting either over materials that are subject to "request for access" by a parent in order for the materials to be available to their children either. (which is literally what is happening here...and that is just the lighter points of the meetings...details are much much worse)


I don't care what the whole world does...its not my job to care. I care about those in my small community.
Government is outside of my world and purvue...again because it involves politicians and politics.

Politics is the means by which they Killed Jesus...granted He died for me...but I would be an absolute hypocrite for promoting politics or a political view to anyone if I were to do so.

Actually it was His own people (the Jews) that killed Jesus, not the gov. :)

Actually, it was His own people (the Jews) that killed Jesus, not the gov; only by the allowance of the Father in heaven were the Romans allowed to crucify Him. The Romans thought He was innocent.

If Jesus/God can say "NO" to all religious earthly power and Earthly political secular power AND I want to be just like Him....

GUESS WHAT?

A cross was used to kill Jesus....doesn't mean it's a good idea to climb up one and attach myself to it.
In fact it's a good idea to stay FAR AWAY from everythhaving to do with His Death. Just a thought.

Jesus refused those very things in his "Temptation in the Wilderness".

Jesus didn't engage in politics....stayed out of them. Didn't even "cross swords" with the pharisees and Saducees or even Essenes unless they forced Him to or one of his apostles asked a theological question. He again stayed out of the drama.

And how could Jesus NOT win if He actually engaged in such?
Omnipotence, Omniscience are too powerful to thwart if put up to the task of debate.

How did politics enter the picture? Yes indeed, Jesus taught in the synagogues with Rabbis around (They were either Pharisees or Sadducees). They were the ones that He often referred to as vipers, due to them teaching the traditions of men.

The apostles questioned Him often about His teachings; His teachings were radical and His parables were many times not understood.

You should go back and read more Scripture! Jesus is God the Son, He can do anything!
