Without question, Jesus teaches proportional rewards. We see this in his parable of the talents. However, a closer look at the parable will reveal that rulership over cities is our reward. The crowns, on the other hand, are given to each one of Jesus' followers.

I would add I do believe in works , if it’s works of repentance or obedience, God knows our hearts and we seek to please him not our own ways of works . The works would line up with Gods will revealed in his word , not our way of doing things . Like for example thou shall not steal . So I would stop all forms of stealing in my life and pursue that always . God knows if I’m serious or just giving lip service. My works would also reveal that . It’s God that justifies not our works he knows our hearts . Our works in themselves can do nothing by themselves . It’s God that justifies he looks on a the heart . He appreciates good works from the heart. Men tend to look on appearance and judge that way . God looks on our hearts and works .
Look at it this way. God sanctifies our hearts, and from that heart we act in the ways that Jesus spoke about in the Sermon on the Mount.

the gift of eternal life is the same for all

the reward, positions of authority in the family, are according to works, the parable of the pound!

Some like Steven die young, but he had works. He had demonstrated to the Father he will obey and obey to the death.

there are no death bed conversions.
Tell that to the thief on the cross in Paradise not Hell !

Without question, Jesus teaches proportional rewards. We see this in his parable of the talents. However, a closer look at the parable will reveal that rulership over cities is our reward. The crowns, on the other hand, are given to each one of Jesus' followers.
Remember the disciples wanted to sit by Jesus and the other disciples got angry ? Jesus said it was not his power to reward such , that’s in the Fathers power , so obviously rewards very . If our works are hay wood and stubble , they get burned up! No reward for our vain works then . So we need to adhere to Gods word which is his will . I remember in the psalms somewhere it said , find and do the things that please the Lord .

Tell that to the thief on the cross in Paradise not Hell !
Also the thief on the cross did not have an option, most likely he just heard the truth then , I absolutely believe in deathbed conversion this is an example of one God is merciful. But for people to take the approach after hearing the t truth I will wait until my death bed to get right with God , that would be unlikely, but again it depends on Gods discretion, not ours . I heard a saying somewhere if you don’t live well you will not die well . So I do see your point . But not in all cases . The is proof in the text and Jesus word to the thief . Amen .

Sanctification involves a transformation of the heart. Why would such a person give into the flesh? i don't think they would.
Normally they would not , but I think the believer needs to mature from a babe . That process can be hindered. Apostle Paul was the example of bringing babes to maturity. Reading his epistles reveals that . He warned some about going back to the law and falling from grace in doing so . Just an example. We don’t have Apostles today . But we do have their writings The NT ! Thank God for that or we all may be getting circumcised and trying to keep the law with little success. God bless as you seek the truth. !

Ok but they are still rewards... However look at the 5th one... Im pretty sure everyone will not be thrown in prison. So i dont think everyone gets the 5th one at the very least.
The crown of life? All of Jesus' followers whom God is saving will receive eternal life.

to quote my earlier post

5) The Crown of Life – (Revelation 2:10) “Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, tha

This looks to me like the 5th crown is contengnt on suffering and being thrown into prison
Not really - Jesus said, " the devil is about to throw some of you into prison." He did not say, "I will give a crown of life to those who are thrown into prison."

That’s why Sirach is not canon.
It was in the original King James Version Bible man does not have the authority to remove it!
You cannot erase history. You may not know that this is a history book not a religious book.

Revelation 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
Revelation 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

So for the Protestant Church to remove something from the Bible because they decided it was canon
Is hilarious it’s not their book!

Psalms 147:19 He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.
Psalms 147:20 He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the LORD.

It doesn’t matter if you are in prison or where you are as long as you keeping the Commandments you
Shall be saved! Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
If you are keeping the Commandments till you die or when Christ makes his second coming you shall be saved!

This is the one that’s coming not what’s been taught:
Revelation 1:14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
Revelation 1:15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

The verses about do not add or take from this book in the curses that would occur a relative only to the Book of Revelation as when it was written there was no new testament as a codex
