If the Scribes and Pharisees, who did not know God, built a literal temple.

The Lord Jesus did not have a literal temple built. Likewise, the Apostles and the Lord’s disciples did not build one.
This is what the Lord Jesus revealed to Paul.
ACTS 17:24
24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;

Could this be one of the reasons why leaders ask people for money, even though it may not actually be necessary to fulfill God’s will?

The Prophets of God are after the spiritual meaning in the word of God.

The false Prophets are after the literal meaning in the word of God.

2 CORINTHIANS 3:6
6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
Because the benefit in the literal sense only lasts up to the cemetery, whereas the benefit in the spiritual sense extends to eternal life.

False Prophets enforce God’s commandments in a strictly literal sense. For example, the law of tithing, where they instruct members of their group to give one-tenth simply because it is written.
Along with the promise that they will receive blessings in return from God specifically, abundant material wealth.
MALACHI 3:10
10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

However, for the true prophets of God, the commandment of tithing is followed in a spiritual sense.
This was revealed by the Lord Jesus to the Apostle Paul.
ROMANS 7:14
14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

Therefore, even the Lord Jesus, in His role as the Son of God, fulfilled the law of tithing in a spiritual way.
MATTHEW 5:17
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

The Lord Jesus fulfilled the law of tithing in a spiritual way, so it is not the same as how many preachers enforce it today.

And the reward given by God is not material things or physical gain, but benefit to the soul therefore it cannot be seen by the eyes.
For it is the soul that will be with God in eternal life.
2 CORINTHIANS 4:18
18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

We discern false teachers is by seeing how their demonic doctrine differs and contradicts the NT Gospel.
Until such folks affirm that God loves humanity and made salvation possible via Christ's atonement, they are heretics.
The elect are those who accept Jesus as Messiah/Lord and receive His HS = DL (divine love per Rom. 5:5).
God initiates; sinners cooperate or not. May tulipists repent and cooperate with God's will (John 6:29).

In the time of the Lord Jesus, He was angered to the leaders by the literal enforcement of tithes by the false prophets at that time.
LUKE 11:46
46 And he said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers.

Yes, OT tithing was replaced by NT stewardship of what God has given,
which includes voluntary giving to charities and ministries including church.

Incorrect, as usual.

True prophets are keen on the precise words of God. Misrepresenting His words is the greatest error. He provides the proper meaning to His words: sometimes spiritual and sometimes physical, and often both.

Another example from God’s commandments is, “You shall not commit adultery.” False prophets enforce this only in a literal sense, and for them, that already represents the will of God.

This is what the Scribes and the Pharisees (False Prophets) practiced before. But according to the Lord Jesus Christ, it was not merely literal, but spiritual.
Therefore, even though they were observing the commandment “You shall not commit adultery,” the Lord Jesus Christ still called them an adulterous generation.
MATTHEW 16:4
4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.

What was wrong was that they believed the commandment “You shall not commit adultery” referred only to the literal meaning, so they no longer humbled themselves to ask the Lord about its spiritual meaning. To the Lord Jesus Christ, this is equivalent to blindness.

To those chosen by God, although the commandment “You shall not commit adultery” refers to the spiritual meaning, the Lord Jesus Christ also commanded them to obey it in its literal sense.

Obeying the spiritual meaning of “You shall not commit adultery” refers to cleansing the inside of the cup (which cannot be seen). And obeying it in the literal sense refers to cleansing the outside of the cup (which is visible to the eyes).
MATTHEW 23:26
26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

Therefore, those chosen by God obey the commandment “You shall not commit adultery” in both its spiritual and literal meaning.

Only those chosen by God, whose recognition of the Lord Jesus Christ comes through the revelation of God the Father (Matthew 16:15-17), are able to fulfill the spiritual meaning of “You shall not commit adultery.” For it is only to them that its true meaning has been revealed. And this was not revealed to all people.
MARK 4:34
34 But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.

Excellent point! I had not connected spiritual adultery with spiritual circumcision (Rom. 2:29, Col. 2:11-12).

In the belief of false prophets, the circumcision commanded by God is literal. That is why they say that the law is only for men.
GENESIS 17:10-12
10 This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.
11 And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you.
12 And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.

However, for God’s chosen people (real Prophets), the commanded circumcision is spiritual.
ROMANS 2:29
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

COLLOSIANS 2:11-12
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

Because every commandment of God is for all people.
Because all are one in the Lord Jesus.
This is what God revealed to His chosen people, and they believed it.
GALATIANS 3:28
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Another example: for false prophets who preach, this command refers to literal women. That is why they forbid women from preaching or leading in their group.
1 CORINTHIANS 14:34-35
34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.
35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

They may use as proof the idea that there were no literal female prophets who spoke or led in the Old Testament, and that the Apostles of the Lord Jesus who spoke to the people were all men.

There were several female prophets in the Old Testament.

REAL PROPHETS:
The chosen people of God, although they understand the word ‘woman,’ are still waiting for what God will reveal.
Because they know that the Lord Jesus speaks in parables (Mark 4:34).

Like the apostles, when the Lord Jesus said, ‘Destroy this temple,’ (John 2:19) it was clear to their understanding that He was referring to the literal temple where they were at the time, especially since He had just driven out the merchants inside it (John 2:17). Still, the apostles waited for what the Lord would later reveal to them.
And in their waiting, He revealed to them that the temple He was referring to was His body (John 2:21).

In the waiting of the true followers of the Lord Jesus, He revealed to them that the instruction about a woman who should remain silent is not referring to a literal woman. For all people are one in the sight of the Lord.
GALATIANS 3:28
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Because of the Lord’s warning in Proverbs 3:5, true prophets do not rely on their own understanding. Instead, they always ask the Lord. So they asked again who the woman the Lord was referring to is.
And this is what the Lord revealed: The Lord is united with His chosen ones. They are like husband and wife.
JEREMIAH 3:14
14 Turn, O backsliding children, saith the Lord; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:

If God revealed that He is united with His chosen ones, it is still not clear who the man (husband) is and who the woman (wife) is. So the true chosen ones of the Lord asked again who the man is and who the woman is"?

And the Lord God then revealed who the man is and who the woman is.
The Lord God Himself is the man, and His chosen ones are the woman.
ISAIAH 54:5
5 For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.

Thus, through the questions of the true chosen ones of God to the Lord, it became clear to them who the spiritual man (husband) is and who the spiritual woman (wife) is.
And they came to understand that people, whether male or female in gender, are all regarded as spiritual women in the presence of the Lord God.

In what God revealed, it became clear that He was not referring only to literal women as the ones who should keep silent and ask their husbands (1 Corinthians 14:34–35), but that all people are to remain silent.

Once again, the true chosen ones of God asked, ‘What about what we read in the Old Testament, such as Moses, whom You commanded to return to Egypt and speak to the Israelites and to Pharaoh? What about what Your disciples did on the day of Pentecost, when You also commanded them to speak to the people? What do You mean that we should remain silent as spiritual women?’

I think a lot of people overlook the implications of this verse about the evil one in Genesis 3:15—
I will put hostility between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and her offspring.
He will bruise your head,
and you will bruise his heel.”

I've noticed that unrigteous men tend to have a distain of some sort for women.

No, because that is not what I claimed.

I do believe you that there were women chosen by the Lord God in the Old Testament. But there was no woman who led like Moses did. Perhaps that is one reason why men are still the primary leaders of groups in Christianity today, because of the clear understanding of the leaders in church regarding 1 Cor 14:34-35.

No, they will note the reference to literal husbands.

Paul sometimes tried not to offend those who had OT beliefs.

I've noticed that unrigteous men tend to have a distain of some sort for women.
Unfortunately, many "Christian" men have disdain for women... usually because they misunderstand Scripture and their hearts aren't submitted to the Lord.
