yes ... breath of lives (plural).

Blue Letter Bible indicates the word "life" in Gen 2:7 is noun, masculine, plural ...

https://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/gen/2/1/t_conc_2007

such a great truth to understand.

.
It explains why Jesus referred to unbelievers, though physically alive, as dead.

No human spirit?
That soul is dead.
Spiritually dead.

Another disciple said to him, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.”
But Jesus told him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”
Matthew 8:21-22

the capital A was added by the translator according to their own theology. It's not capped in TLV, KJV or NASB.
"The" A/angel of God, singular, separate, unique, Who is "The" A/angel of God? In most other scriptures it says
an" angel of God, in a few they are named, such as Michael. So who, Lovette, is " The" A/angel of the Lord/God?

right ... the guy wanted to put off what the Lord Jesus Christ told him he needed to do right then. Lots of folks do that ... thinking there's time to do what God tells them to do. God is so patient with us ...

You conveniently left out that in the feminine it is singular. So God breathed plural breath into Adam for Eve also, she was formed from him having everything she needed for life.
Make sense out of that.

So, now there was only one soul life between the two of them? Or, one life between the two of them?

Next time... tie your shoe laces before you try thinking on your feet.

You just want to oppose the truth. Why is that?

The "breath" is in the feminine/singular, the "life" is in the masculine/plural. Adam did not get one male and one feminine life.

As the human spirit is only said (to the best of my knowledge) to either be given Ecc.12:7 or generated (birthed) Jn.3:6 by God and it is the Holy Spirit that does the generating, it makes more sense to me that the breath, referencing God's breath (ie the Holy Spirit) in the female is appropriate as females give birth.

Singular - one breath - containing two lives...
Soul life.
And, spirit life.

Some years ago I had contact at church with a son of an Orthodox Jewish rabbi.
The son had become a Christian.
It was around the time I learned from my pastor (who was a Hebrew scholar) about breath of lives.
I ran Genesis 2:7 by the Orthodox Jewish rabbi's son.
He took out his Hebrew Bible he had with him.
He looked it up.
Read it to himself.
Then said it in Hebrew.
He looked up and, told me, "Yes, it is in the plural."

Why some feel the need to fight this sort of thing makes me wonder.
I was once told that jealousy can cause a contrary behavior pattern in those so inclined.
They can not help themselves when they get that way.

Grace and peace .......

I think the other thing that is missed by those who want to suggest that the plurality is Adam's and Eve's soul being breathed in, is the fact that God built Eve's body from Adam's rib, not her soul. In effect, her body was in Adam's body by virtue of the elements contained in the rib which, originally came from the earth.

In fact, isn't there a scripture saying something to that effect? Woman came from man and then men came from women? I'll have to check that one. :)

A messenger of God, authorized to temporarily exercise God's power on earth. As long as THE angel is angel, the inferiority stated in Heb. 1:5 and Rev. 19:10 applies. If NT can interpret OT, as you believe, then let Heb. 1:5 and Rev. 19:10 interpret the identity of "the angel of God."

One soul... For one body.
One soul... gets one human spirit.

No human spirit?
Dead soul. (spiritually dead)

Born again?
Our soul gains human spirit begotten by the Holy Spirit.

Adam was created soul, and human spirit.
So there was at least two different types of life in Adam.

The body made from the elements of the earth needed a soul and human spirit to be a living soul.
The Lord breathed into the nostrils Adam's soul, and Adam's human spirit.
The breath of lives.... Plural.

Some will always want to argue even when something is correct.

So will it be until the Lord returns.

That kind of logic would have to conclude that the grandparents had all their children and grandchildren's souls in their body before they were born. They should call it quits thinking that way.

God had no need to keep Eve's soul hidden away in Adam before her body was provided.
For souls now in heaven awaiting the resurrection do not need a body to exist.
A soul needs a body to navigate itself about in a created material world.

Hebrew 7 doesnt say 'there was no record of genealogy'

Its very clear:
3 Without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, resembling the Son of God, he remains a priest forever.
The text says he is resembling the Son of God, not that he is God. In Genesis, genealogy was the only way to prove priestly right. By leaving his parents out of the record, the author uses Melchizedek as a type to show that, like Jesus, his priesthood is based on God’s appointment rather than an earthly bloodline. Also there’s Heb 7:6. “his genealogy”.

But the scriptures says that Melchizedek " was without mother or father " and it seems you don't believe that. There is no record of genealogy because there IS no genealogy, He had no beginning nor ending of days, He wasn't born and didn't die, the King of Salem (Peace) and High Priest, hmmmm sounds a lot like the pre-incarnate Christ to me.
If he were literally the pre-incarnate Christ, the text would not say he was made to resemble the Son of God because he would simply be the Son of God. The author is using the silence of the Genesis record to show a priesthood that does not depend on earthly DNA, serving as a physical type of the eternal reality found in Jesus.

I see this thread got derailed...

How can someone ask a question like this when He said Rom 3 23 for all have sinned and fallen short or 1st John if we say we have no sin or Isa all we sheep have gone astray or Ecc surely there is not a righteous man on earth who does good and never sins..

As for the rest.. I and the Father are one...if you seen Me you seen the Father.

As for the rest.. I and the Father are one...if you seen Me you seen the Father.

Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you
such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say,
‘Show us the Father’? John 14:9

No one can see the Father who is everywhere present. It is impossible to stand back far enough to see Him.
Jesus is being the Father, as the Father can be seen and understood by a man.

Through Jesus is the Father is being perfectly identified with men, in a manner, that a man in return can identify with the Father.

"No man has seen God at any time, but the one and only Son, who is in closest
relationship with the Father, has declared him. [He has revealed Him and brought
Him out where He can be seen; He has interpreted Him and He has made Him known]. John 1:18
Grace and peace.....
