Seems we will know the answer if we begin seeing military being sent to the ports and ships being loaded. We have about 50,000 troops in the region counting Navy,Marine and Amy but Iran is at around 610,000 active troops. Gotta have way more than 50,000 and that will take weeks to months to move them from here to there.
What missiles? If that starts happening, they'll be sitting ducks for Iran's missiles.

Love your way of thinking Squig! I wouldn't worry about China though, the Mandate of Heaven will strike the godless communist pigs to the ground and a great dynasty of Chinese characteristics will rise in the dawn of our last golden age. Praise Jesus.I'm confident the US military would in the end be strong enough to be victorious but in the end loose another completely different war. China is just sitting there watching Russia become weakened of SP status in the war in Ukraine. Their watching NATO and the US bicker back and forth and the NATO trust of one anther fall apart. In the war in Afghanistan and Iraq the cost to the US debt is between 6.5 to 8 trillion added to the US debt. The US debt is at 39 trillion dollars but if 6.5 trillion is added over the Iran war it would be 45.5 trillion but that doesn't take other debt in the US Gvt. into consideration. If another trillion was added for other Government per year over 10 years the total would be 55.5 trillion of debt. Russia is strapped for cash and seemingly about to end the war in Ukraine. The EU(27 members) has a current 15.4 trillion debt but will climb as fast as it begins building up it's military because they now need to defend themselves. China on the other hand is at around 18 trillion but they are building up technology and advancements in AI,robotics drones ect. much faster than the US or other nations. So if China continues to make advancements in AI or Quantum AI at a quicker pace than the US as they have over the last 10 years over the next 10 years by just staying out of the different wars and continue watching the US,Russia and EU become more and more in debt and farther behind in research than themselves they will then be the lone Superpower in the end. All they have to do is keep doing what they are doing and building up their advancements while we stretch ours out and ours gets older and older while theirs gets newer and newer and more advanced.
XI is moving his troops down the Cumberland river and surrounding fort Donaldson J Trump, cutting him off from reinforcements, supplies and an escape route. The end will be the same a total surrender all because of over confidence and pride.
Time will tell. He will take the bait and invade Iran or he will be wise and scale this all down and live to fight another day. If not it ends the same where thousands sit there with their cannons and guns ready to defend the fort and the attack never comes. In the end the whole rest of the war goes on around them until there's no one left on their side to give aid. It always ends the same and only the overconfident and prideful fall for it.
We could have invaded them with 10,000. With 50,000 we could occupy whatever. Numbers confer no advantage. Really the regime has already been irrevocably broken, it's a shattered remnant of itself, a mere cardboard idol. The question on invasion and occupation hinges on two main things; Pahlavi if he wants to return and we try to oversee a transition to sane democracy, and whether or not we want to just take Kharg Island. These things are not neccessary though, all that is neccessary is to kill God's enemies and bring to justice, Ejei and Radan. When you see an actual invasion force of 200,000 plus US troops sitting in the region flags should go up that invading Iran might be a reality. Until then it's nothing more than puffed up talk designed to get the little rabbits excited. From the beginning to the end we never had the things sitting off Iran's coast to overthrow Iran.
Iraq had the 4th largest army in the world in the first Gulf War and we had way less troops than even the 10,000. They didn't have the 4th largest army in the world no more after it though. We only used like 170,000 troops to invade Iraq and that was a fullblown invasio nand occupation, which is decidedly not going to happen in Iran. If Pahlavi wants an honorguard we will do it, if not, and we want the oil we take Kharg Island and dare the IRGC to destroy it and essentially send themseleves back to the time era of the Shahanemeh where they will lose there too, 10,000 would have been sufficient, 50,000 is overkill. Or send in none of them, and just kill Ejei and Radan topunish them from Heaven and consider the Hegseth double-tap of Mojtaba so they can never talk to the Mahdi again or if he is missing his eye let all the muslim world think he is the Dajjal.Smells like somebody's eating Charms if you ask me,lol.
The discussion in the thread reflects the high-stakes atmosphere of May 2026, with the region still reeling from the events of Operation Epic Fury (February–May 2026). The debate between "Squigglylines" and "SonJudgment" touches on several key geopolitical and economic realities of this current moment.lets see, it weighs about 7 pounds, fits in 7 pockets and adds up to 210. Divided by 610,000 that means, hmm?
The riddle at the end of the thread is a cynical calculation regarding the Standard Combat Load of a U.S. infantryman compared to the size of the Iranian military.lets see, it weighs about 7 pounds, fits in 7 pockets and adds up to 210. Divided by 610,000 that means, hmm?
